We went to the Seafood night with friends. The 5 course menu was amazing … high quality seafood and everything perfectly cooked, plus a great atmosphere with live music and excellent, friendly service. We all had a great evening.

Street type food was all excellent. Lots of different small plates, and larger if you want it. Was 5 mins away from our excellent B&B, The Cloves.

Wow What can i say. Beautiful food, great service, lovely view. What more could i ask for. Everything was perfect.

We visited this restaurant at the start of there new adventure at the beginning of May whilst on holiday. We were really looking forward to returning again on holiday this time and it was even better. Newer menus more variety and an exceptional standard of food . My partner had the seafood platter and it was superb value . The owners are very friendly and always willing to have a chat . We can't wait to return again . Anyone who side steps this establishment is a fool! The food is absolutely amazing! The staff are warm and welcoming - nothing is too much trouble. Value for money goes beyond words. Don't walk by and wonder - go inside and eat! You will, without doubt, return!

The food, the atmosphere and the selection on the menu were all top draw. The value for money is crazy, the bill at the end of the night compared to most places was cheap. The only complaint is that I wanted everything on the menu. Can't wait to go back, I'm telling everyone about this place, which is a bad idea beacuse it's not always easy to get a table. 5 stars

Visited for the ‘Fish lovers’ menu. The seafood bisque to start was truly exceptional and the fish sharing platter a wonderful array of fresh fish and great flavours. Serving staff were warm, friendly and added to a great evening.

Our first time at Funny Onion. Mike and his team hosted a packed restaurant for their popular fish lovers menu. It didn't disappoint. An excellent menu, cooked to perfection and such variety. I think we had at least 10 different fish including scallops and sole, all with different garnishes and sauces. O loved the shellfish bisque for starters. That's a tall order to cook for a full restaurant. Delicious! . Well done to all and our waitress Kylie was excellent. The music made for a great atmosphere. 👍 Highly recommended. Had a great meal with friends. Really enjoyed Harissa Chicken Flatbread. Young serving staff were great and food was very reasonably priced.

Went for my sons 30th last night and can’t fault it. Excellent service and amazing food. Thank you Mike and your staff Great menu choices for everyone. Loved the decor which created a fab atmosphere. Halloumi Flatbread was excellent and so was the salt & peppered seasoned seafood plater and of course tradition fish & chips. It’s refreshing to see fish dishes on a menu in Cleethorpes that have a nice twist. Can’t wait to book and go back for a girly night with friends Supporting local is needed and this local business is worthy of supporting.

Delicious food and attentive staff. This restaurant is a must to visit! Beautifully presented and delicious food-Suitable for vegetarians too. Great wine list! Dog friendly in the daytime🐶. Lovely to see smiley attentive staff. I would recommend booking advance, especially for an evening table. Can’t wait to visit again for the seafood tasting night.

Excellent tapas , every morsel was superb, the owners were very friendly, already booked in for the seafood tasting menu in july. Definitely recommend a try if you fancy something completely different to Fish and Chips, although it was on the menu and looked fab .

What can we say except absolutely superb. A new venue on the sea front which offers a street food east going vibe. Interior design is so on point and the menu - well it’s almost a book that tells a story. The food is expertly prepared and is delicious. It’s actually really hard to work out what you want to try there are such wonderful combinations. But the icing on the delicious cake is the team working to ensure you have a wonderful experience. Really great team that made the four of us feel so relaxed and at home. Needless to say this is our new regular - and want to thank the whole team for a fantastic night.

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome. Great food and a great atmosphere. The salt & pepper seafood is amazing and when I ordered the burger, I didn't know whether to eat it or climb it. Get yourself there.

To me a restaurant needs three things…good atmosphere, good staff, good food. Without a doubt this place has all three in truck loads!!!! A really chilled, comfy place to be. Friendly, welcoming staff. Food!!! OMG! The best fish & chips I’ve ever had!! Husband and son had the burgers (that’s what I’m having next time!!) which son declared ‘the best meal he’s had in a long time’!! Followed by a fabulous latte & cappuccino (I’m a stickler for a good coffee!!) and we shared a Biscoff & white chocolate blondie (as full from mains!!) and that was delicious!!! Definitely be our place to go!!!!

This was our second visit for dinner, we enjoyed all our meals again. The staff are happy, no complaints about anything. We are hoping the restaurant will be supported by locals as well as holiday makers. Definitely worth a visit, please try it, you will...

Great Menu choices both starters and mains. We all had different dishes and tried each others, all where amazing. Staff where attentive and friendly. Will definitely be visiting again.

We shared 6 'tapas style' small plates all of which were delicious. Menu was varied enough for different tastes but not too overwhelming. Great service from staff. Will definitely be back
