This is a very friendly family pub and restaurant, we have always had great food here and great service. It's one of our regular haunts.

Lovely lamb sunday lunch with all the trimmings, we booked as it is so popular and it was worth it. Good price for a big lunch but sadly no room for a desert but maybe next time.

This as an amazing performance by the pub, where we have several times eaten lunch over the last few years. The occasion was our golden wedding celebration and, of our party of 29, more than half had ordered steaks cooked to different preferences. Without exception, the steaks were perfect and most guests commented that they had rarely had a better one. The other main courses were also appreciated and the starters and puddings were lovely too.I cannot speak too highly of the team at the Full Moon for putting on such a lovely meal for us on a special occasion

Just off the beaten track we came across The Full Moon in Little Kingshill and what a wonderful surprise. A proper pub and restaurant. The beer is keep very well and the range is impressive. The food is fairly traditional with the odd pleasent surprise and is really good value, taste and presentation. Underlying all this is the tremendous service, so missing from many other similar operations, where the staff are so helpful and willing. Destination Pub -- yes, but thats the fun when it worth the effort.

Business friend and I went for lunch today. Really good value with a choice of three hot dishes or sandwiches etc with well cared for beers. Highly recommended. Outside garden compliments this oldy worldly traditional country pub.

Four of us went for lunch and as usual the service was first class, the food delicious and the price so so reasonable. I don't know of anywhere where the surroundings are warm and welcoming, the food so good, the price so good and the service so good. A real gem.

We enjoy occasional visits to The Full Moon and they consistently offer a friendly and good quality service. The menu has expanded and offers some good options, although the prices have crept up significantly. There are distinct eating and drinking areas which makes it a good choice for eating or for drinks only.

We have been twice for lunch and the food is really good value and delicious. The service is good and prompt. I really recommend this pub which is still a 'pub' with interesting and tasty food. What more could you ask for.

I have been a few times, the place is buzzing in the evenings, a brilliant local. Sports on TV for the men inside, (with 3 guest ales and London Pride being served,) their wives enjoying a reasonable wine selection outside, children playing in the play area and with dogs welcome both inside the bar and in the garden. So this place is a traditional, local pub.On my first visit, it was just for a quick pint to catch up with some friends, so I made this impression of a traditional local. Next time we came, we ordered food, choosing traditional pub grub like Burger & Chips, Nachos, Fish & Chips etc. The food took quite a long time to arrive: ~35 minutes for what we felt was a simple order on a day that was not too busy. None of it was particularly good, the fish rubbery, mushy peas dry and undercooked chunky chips. The nachos were not given to us, but did appear on our bill (it turned out to have been left inside in the kitchen). One person, however, ordered some Mediterranean food, the goats cheese and vegetable ciabatta, and it was delicious. On the next visit, we didn't bother with the normal pub food and had a brilliantly cooked, extremely tasty and far healthier meal of Mediterranean salads, Mezze platter, parma ham, grilled pepper and halloumi which was in a totally different league to our previous experience. No long waits, a smile and nod from the owner about choosing what are clearly her favourite dishes, and really good food.If you visit for food, stay away from the meals you would expect to find on a pub menu and go for the others, you will not regret it!

You have to know where this place is as you would not drive past it - but it's worth the visit especially at lunchtime. I have eaten here every couple of months this year as it's exceptional value - although I have a niggling concern after my last visit that the structure of some of the dishes has changed and been downgraded a bit but we'll see...maybe it was too good to last. At lunchtime they offer a short menu of £5 dishes, and also sharing plates including a whole spit roast chicken for £9-£15, which serve 2 or 3 respectively. They have several real ales and coffeee is dirt cheap. It is easily possible to lunch here for under £10.It's a nice old fashioned building with a super quiet beer garden for those summer days and real fires for the colder ones. It's always busy, which is a good recommendation for an out of the way pub.

Went here recently for lunch with a friend and it could not have been a more pleasant experience! The food was delicious and well priced. The menu offered a good selection for all. The service friendly. The pub is a typical pretty English pub. We used to be regulars at this pub many years ago (previous owners) and were very pleasantly surprised to see the improvements the current owners have made. Wish we lived nearby still!

We have been here a few times and while the garden is a nice place to have a drink, we`ve now given up on the food. In the past I had ordered a burger which was fine, but have since had a salad, the pork, and a lunch sandwich which have all been very average. I also have to say that the last two times we have been, the staff came across straight faced - not miserable as such but just giving the impression that you are putting them out.Maybe we will go back some time for a drink in the garden when it`s sunny but no more food for us.

I have never written a review on Trip Advisor but I was so disappointed with the service and food that we received this evening that I felt obliged to do so! We are local people and had taken a walk to the local pub with our dog. We enjoyed a drink in the pub garden and decided to order some food. We had eaten here before and found the food to be good value for money. My husband ordered sausages and mash and I had a salad. When the food arrived, my husband cut into the sausages and found that each one was very pink inside. He sent them back. When his meal was brought back, the lady said that the sausages had been cooked for a bit longer! The same sausages had been taken off the plate, cooked for a while longer and returned to the plate!! When they were cut into again, they were still pink. Again, my husband returned the sausages, only to be told that if they were cooked for any longer, they would be burnt to a crisp! I find it remarkable that a pub restaurant finds it impossible to cook sausages! The owner/manager was apologetic to a point but said that the sausages were of good quality and they weren't able to cook them any longer than they had done already! This was a very disappointing experience. It wouldn't have been so bad had the chef cooked another meal from scratch for my husband and brought out a fresh meal from me. Instead, I ate my meal while my husband waited for his second meal. And then he ended up not eating at all! Poor customer service and poor food - we will definitely not be returning.

This is a gorgeous country pub with a lovely large garden. They have a great menu with lunch for a fiver during the week and delicious (very reasonably priced) roast dinners on Sunday. The staff are amazing with children and the kids food is good quality and healthy. There are a great selection of ales and lovely wine list too. As a family pub, it cannot be beaten and it is now our venue of choice for family celebrations.

Our first time at this lovely pub. We ate with 4 friends and most of us chose seafood. I loved my smoked haddock. I will certainly be going back. As a bonus there was an excellent choice of ales too!

When this place first reopened the food was excellent. I've just taken my family for lunch today and a terrible rating is generous ! The kids menu is sad, my sons pizza seemed to have come from Iceland and it was burnt so had to send it back the alternative pasta was long waiting. My so called homemade hamburger was cooked to a frizzle and tasted like cardboard - old dry cardboard. My wife's panini was quite unexceptional, and the service well the less said the better.Shame this used to be a good joint, but it won't be getting anymore of my hard earned cash.

Our first visit to The Full Moon today was for Sunday lunch. The food was tasty and good value, but the service whilst very friendly was painfully slow. Over 30 minute wait after ordering, 20 minute wait for plates to be cleared after mains, then another 30 minute wait after ordering pudding. The main meal was delicious, the menu had lots of interesting choices and the ambience was very good - it was just the speed of service that let it down.

We had a great meal here on a Wednesday night three weeks ago - it was busy and had a lovely atmosphere. I had the seabass which was delicious, every element of the dish was lovely. My friend had the wild boar which she also said was very delicious. The staff were all lovely. Having said that, once we'd finished, one of the waitresses had gone home and forgotten to bring our bill to us, then it took quite a while before anyone came over to give us the bill. No-one then came to take our money so we went to the bar to pay (only about 3 metres away). This was a minor event in our evening though and we remain suitably impressed.

What a lovely pub, the food is really good and the service excellent. Great to find a pub such as this. Lots of character and a nice atmosphere, and to make it even better, dogs are welcome! I will certainly be putting this one on my list of favourites!

We had a fantastic meal here on Wednesday 31st October. We ordered two plates of nachos to share - huge portions and generous helpings of salsa, guacamole and sour cream too (often I find the accompanying dips are skimped on, but not at 'The Full Moon'!) I had the lunchtime menu's Veggie Risotto for only £5, and it was delicious. I could not believe the price for the quality. We also ordered beef paninis for £5 and they were again generous portions with loads of flavour. The service was friendly, and although the pub was packed, we were served promptly and with a smile. What was also nice is that the waitress wondered if we wanted two sets of nachos, as she explained they were big - we liked that she checked that we were hungry enough to manage it all (we were!) Can't wait to visit again when I next come up to Bucks!

The Full Moon is a lovely pub which was going downhill until a couple years ago when Petra and Bran took it over and they have done a simply fantastic job - a small make-over, keeping the 'snug', smartening up the restaurant a bit, a lick of paint, tidying the garden (kid-friendly now), but mainly two things:- the friendly reception from all the staff, smiling- very good food at very good pricesA gem, so pleased they saved it.One slight grumble - the Yorkshire Puddings - they never seem to get them right, often overdone. May be difficult in a busy Sunday kitchen I guess. But overall, well worth a visit.
