The Fry Inn in South Ribble

First time at the Fry Inn and it was very impressive. Tastiest and freshest Thai food ever eaten from a takeaway. In fact I would say it was best Thai food I’ve eaten in Lancashire. Well done to the brilliant chef and the Fry Inn for having such high standards. Please trust the spice ratings as the 7 was really hot! Thank you

The food here is immense!! Amazing service and don't get me started on the delicious flavours that are used!! Just outstanding. The blend between traditional chippy and Chinese is unique and unbelievable. the best team working there and the taste-bud heaven. Love it here!

Superb food. I’ve been meaning to pay a visit for a long time after hearing glowing reviews from friends. I wasn’t disappointed. Everything was super tasty and spice level 3 had just the right amount of kick for us. I was also really impressed to receive a phone call confirming collection time, which was earlier than expected. Staff really friendly and just brilliant service all round. Will definitely be back again 👍

My partner and I have the salt and pepper box for 2… plenty of food, we couldn’t finish it! It was delicious and the chicken bites were unreal! We will defo have going back for it, one of the best salt and pepper boxes I’ve had, and definitely the most value for money I’ve ever had.

Wow what a amazing food we just had. A mixture of British and my favourite Thai food with the quality that you can’t even find in many restaurants. Well done all our order was amazing we will be ordering soon again. Thank you so much x

This takeaway is traditional English fish and chips which also has a Thai menu. The English side is cooked by Martin (English) and the Thai side is cooked by Tata who is from Bangkok Thailand and is a street trained chef, absolutely fantastic food.

I can't believe this chippy that I drive past every day has been doing incredible Thai food for the last 4 years! What a little gem. The beef salad with basil was awesome. Went for a heat scale of 3 out of 10 and if that's mild I can't imagine what a hot curry is like. What a great guy Martin is too, he's on to something good here. I'm almost reluctant to give a review as I want to keep it a secret. Can't wait to return and try the other dishes. Chips were superb too..

We’ve had both Thai and English takeaways from here the past 2 years. All the food we’ve tried is consistently good. The Thai food is particularly delicious, restaurant quality which is a rare treat in Lostock Hall. The ingredients are always fresh whether the salt and pepper range, the curries or the pad Thai -we love it. They always accommodate if you want something less spicy for example and whenever we have ordered for delivery, it’s on time, fresh and hot. Best takeaway around if you want something decent, we’ll cooked not full of MSG or other rubbish- thank you 😊 🙏

This takeaway was recommended to me at the start of Lockdown. I have never found a takeaway that can replicate Thai dishes in a traditional way. The Fry Inn does that exactly. I lived in Thailand for several years and have eaten on the streets and in the best restaurants. The food you serve is on par in every way. The massaman that is slow cooked is outstanding. Martin and Tata keep it up. 5 Stars on every count including James on delivery.

Cant recommend the thsi food here enough. Absolutely perfect. If your not sure what to have chef or Martin will help so just ask. Spring rolls and Panang curry were to due for. Will definitely return

Been to a couple of chip shops but they are by far better quality, portions and taste. Will return for sure.

We had Salt and pepper chicken, Salt and pepper burger, sweet and sour chicken, The best red Thai curry we have had.with jasmine rice, Salt and pepper chips. All cooked to perfection and delivered hot fresh and on time. Well done Fryinn, we will be back soon .

My favourite chippy, never disappointed. Great portions, great food and friendly staff. Looking forward to trying the Thai menu in the future.

Reccommended to try here by a neighbour and certainly didn't dissapoint. Pad Thai chicken noodles at heat level 7 perfect, enough bite without spoiling the taste and prawn green Thai curry with Jasmine rice was a delight. On the spur of the moment I ordered spring rolls,they were lovely and crisp without being overcooked or greasy and the chilli sauce one of the nicest we've tasted. We couldn't eat all the Pad Thai so just had it cold for lunch and still tastes yummy. It was really busy but kept updated on how long my order would be. All served with humour and a smile, the place is really clean, no horrid 'chippy' smell, and great value for money. We will be going back

I have eaten from the Fry-Inn on several occasions and the fish and chips are amazing. The cod is really good. The Thai curry's are off the chart.... the jungle curry is the best. The garlic fried rice is amazing. The Thai fish cakes are awesome. My favourite takeaway by far. Highly recommended

Well worth a visit if you love Thai food ,we have been to Thailand many times and ta ta ,the chef surpasses all other Thai food restaurants with a perfect meal every time.

The food and service from Martin and Tata is amazing. They really go out of their way to provide quality in service and in product. I’d never had Thai food before and they spent time asking what foods I liked etc, before proposing something I’d like.... they were spot on! Thanks guys, keep up the excellent work!

The service you get is so personal the staff always fo the extra mile, i was unsure on what thai curry to have they asked me questions about what i like even got me a spoonfull tobtry before i buy. I was certainly not disapponted. The chicken panang was amazing. I am looking forward to my next recommendation.

Been in the Fry Inn 4 times in the last few weeks. I have really struggled to find a decent chippy anywhere around Preston. I have now found a gem of a chippy that cares about the food it serves, best chippy in Preston I can recommend you won't be disappointed. Well done The Fry Inn

I’ve been living in lostock hall now for over 4 years and wouldn’t go to any other chippy because ALL the food is good value for money and the two owners Martin and tata make you feel most welcome and the Thai food is out of this world I would recommend this chippy to anyone that asks because like other reviewers have said the chips aren’t swimming in grease like they are in the other local chippies KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

It’s a chippy first of all but also does some of the most authentic Thai food I have had in the uk and for the price it can’t be beaten. Make sure you add them on FaceBook to see what they have in each night as it changes.

Not a chippy lover, but after introduction via a work colleague, had 'small' fish and chips. The fish was perfectly cooked and if that was small, I think large but be too much!

Relatively new management in this chippy not been in ages but can safely say the fish and chips are brilliant ! The haddock was exceptional !

We wanted to try the Fry Inn as it's our usual chippy and we heard it was under new management. I turned up just before 8pm on Good Friday completely missing the huge sign on the window saying they closed at 7.30, and they couldn't have been nicer. They refused to let me leave without serving me even though they were in the middle of closing up and cleaning down. Excellent friendly service and the fish and chips were as good as they always have been- if not better! Thanks!

Bit overpriced and I think the fat was a bit cool as chips were a bit greasy. It was empty when I went in and it felt like he put chips back in to reheat. Victoria chippy just round the corner is better in my opinion.

I have been coming here for 15+ years and worked here when I was 16. best chippy around. not greasy and the chips are amazing. Ann and Brian are so friendly and welcoming - will never stop coming here.
