"The Frenchie" Food Market in Victoria Park: Poor..in fact Very Poor...the queue attracts people for sure..but here the queue was due to the fact that the 3 person working in there were so miserable...taking orders...cashing...and all that with their miserable faces...specially the young lady cooking, i know it was a sunny day but if you don't want to work maybe you should let your managers know surely they can arrange to replace you! With no smile...look a bit arrogant and frankly unhappy to be there, the cooking was too long and because they serve the chips 1st, of course these got cold waiting for the burger to be cooked Surely will not coming back...so ladies and gents save your money and smile for the others boxes out there as i remember from a month ago there was a japanese burger we have tried and not only this was delicious but the staff were also very friendly

A 5-star experience. While walking on the South Bank we decided to check out the food stalls at the Southbank market. This was the stall that stood out as my wife and I love juicy duck. Being true to their name, this was the Best Duck confit burger we have eaten. They are only here from Friday through Sunday and on holidays. In my opinion, you are getting bang for your buck given the quality of the ingredients. It is filling given that it is cooked in duck fat. A must try!

Consistently delicious duck confit burger and duck fat chips. An absolute must if you’re visiting the Southbank in London.

The duck burger is still good but raising by +30% prices "because of the inflation" it doesn't sound fair for a street burger

From my 13 years of living in London, I can say that this is the best burger I’ve had in a long, long time! The duck was to die for and the fillings were amazing. The burger paired up with the Raclette Cheese is simply succulent. The fries that go with the burger are just as good, with a crispy, crunchy texture and I do recommend you get the sauce with the fries. The man who served us was extremely kind and being bilingual I had a lovely conversation with him in French. Truly recommend checking it out for a lunch or dinner or if you’re like me, a Linner/Dunch!

This review is years overdue. The Frenchie was the very first street food dish I ever ate in London - more than three years ago, when I first moved here. I’ve sampled hundreds of street food stalls since, yet the magic of The Frenchie remains. It remains one of the best I’ve had - a gourmet dish that wouldn’t feel out of place at a fine dining establishment. Coming from a place where street food was seen as an inferior eating experience, this was a very pleasant surprise for me. The description of the dish is truly tantalising - duck confit in a brioche bun with crispy duck scratchings, red onion chutney, Dijon mustard and rocket. It’s then layered with a choice of cheese - blue cheese, goats’ cheese, or smoked cheddar - with truffle honey drizzled on top. Glorious. The brioche bun is toasted and layered with the tangy, sweet chutney, which provides an excellent contrast to the salty, rich flavours of the perfectly tender duck. The scratchings, crisped to perfection, add a wonderful texture to the softness of the confit. I tend to opt for the blue cheese, which adds a beautiful sharpness and intensity to the already fabulous combination of flavours. The truffle honey is naturally an excellent compliment, adding a sweet, aromatic note to the saltiness of the cheese. It really is a near-perfect, incredibly rich balance of flavours. Don’t forget the sensational chips on the side. Maris Piper potatoes double cooked in duck fat - they’re cut in front of you and have a perfectly crisp exterior with a fluffy middle. They’re served alongside a fabulous truffle mayo sauce. It remains a classic go-to for me - gourmet street food at a wonderful price point. FIND ME ON INSTAGRAM FOR MORE REVIEWS!!!: @ourappetites

I work in the area and sometimes I buy food in the market on Saturdays . This food stand sells duck confit with cheese and chips, and in many occasions I have bought food there before. on Saturday 8th I bought a confit burger with blue cheese and chips, when the Lady was preparing my food I noticed that there were a hair in the confit, I let her know was her reaction was completely unexpected and out of order. she scream at me and told me that she hated people like me that thinks that are better than others. after that she just remove the hair and gave me the confit burger.I was so surprised that I didn't say anything and as I had already paid for the food took it and threw it in the first bin that I saw.(I paid 10 pound for the burger and chips). The lady not only did not apologize but sold me contaminated food and insult me. one of the worst services I ever had.

Quite literally the best burger I've ever tasted.. and I've eaten many burgers. Delicious chips and mayo as well but the burger was to die for. I'm sad I got chips as I'd like to have had room for another burger! Thank you and I will be coming again..

I went to this market, South Bank Food Market, by mistake while I was wandering around. I saw this sign that attracted me saying "Duck Fat Fries" so I had to try it. Honestly this might be the best fries I ever had in my life it was soooo delicious, and to make it even better they have their own truffle mayonaise. Because of how good their fries were I regret not trying their other food selections, I am definitely coming back.

i should have gone online to check the reviews before I ordered this burger. The people before me all ordered the goat cheese and I am a huge lover of goat cheese so I chose that and was very disappointed to find that the duck and the goat cheese did not mix well in term of taste. The burger was very rich and clashed with the strong goat cheese and honey and I couldn't finish it. I recommend you give it a try if you like strong rich duck flavours but stick with the blue cheese instead.

Had the delight of trying the duck confit burger with blue cheese from The Frenchie at Chelsea Harbour food market. For anyone working in the Imperial Wharf area this is a fabulous Friday treat. The gentleman on the stall recommended blue cheese but there are options of a smoked cheese and a goats cheese. It was so delightful beyond words.

This is most likely the best street food I have ever had; world-wide. I was just wondering around one day, heading from south bank over to the north when I found the plaza with all of the food stalls. I checked them all out but could not select any other than the one with the duck confit burger. It was absolutely amazing. I had mine with blue cheese which is how someone who was waiting told me I had to get it. I believed him because he worked at one of the other stalls. Anyway, if you try Frenchie you will likely be writing your own post here shortly thereafter.
