Great venue, awesome garden too! I tried Ladywell pale, great price and tasty beer! Went for DJ yoda last week, what a great night!

Best pub I've been to in the UK. Beautiful beer garden, beers brewed on sight and exceptional programme of touring bands, local artists and DJs.

Apparently a dog friendly bar. I disagree. Some nitty thinks she is the dog whisperer, she approached every dog that barked and continued to antagonise it by making stupid noises making out she is every dogs best friend. Back off please.

Visited with friends on Friday for Sister Midnight gig. Great night with a really good atmosphere helped by the excellent staff. Although it was very hot in the venue and packed the staff did there best to keep us hydrated and as cool as possible which was much appreciated. We will definitely be returning and would recommend a visit for a good night out!

Great garden. They have invested in it recently. Fantastic summer vibes. I don’t stay late but afternoon/early evening it’s a wonderful and friendly place. And great music.

Une pause dans notre séjour anglais. J'adore ce quartier pour sa mixité et le Fox en est un bel exemple. J'ai passé un moment génial avec un staff super prévenant. MERCI

We watched a lovely big band gig in the afternoon. We stayed for a few drinks after and the bouncer was very insistent that as a white girl id want to be with him because he was black… very inappropriate especially from someone at work and in charge of drunk people. Maybe they just employ people that want to sleep with the punters?! It’s a shame as it felt like a nice inclusive pub with a nice outside area.

I popped in with my fiancé for a couple of drinks in the beer garden. After waiting at the bar to be served, the barman, totally ignored me and went to serve a pair of young girls who had literally just walked in. After politely pointing out I was next, to the which the lovely girls agreed, the barman rudely dismissed me by saying he would serve them, before serving me. Based on his pretentious manner and condescending attitude, we chose to leave, and will not ever visit this bar again based on the attitude and service provided by the short, bearded and rude barman.

If there could be no stars I would have given 0 stars.Visited this place yesterday for some calm drinks but there was a event going on kapow abit of drum n bass me and my friends were like okay let’s go 🤷🏼‍♀️ The moment I stepped in music blaring till the point the walls are shaking which is fine, until I saw a dog being inside !!!!!!! As someone who’s worked in the animal industry for 5 years this is absolutely disgusting for the manager and security to let a woman in with a dog during the event. This was blatantly ANIMAL ABUSE AND NO ONE SEEMED TO CARE. Poor old dog tail tucked under his body, shaking and barely could move from how stressed he was !!! I told the woman myself “don’t you think it’s a bit to stressful for an animal to be here with all these people and blaring music” the woman was to drunk to care . This dog literally was so old he could have had serious consequences from the stress !!!AT THIS POINT YOUR STAFF AND MANAGMENT SHOULD HAVE ESCORTED HER OUT BUT NO ONE CARED !!! Don’t class yourself as dog friendly just because you have a garden if you’re not going to step up when a dog is in a unsuitable environment that I saw yesterday. Absolutely disgusting fix up!!!!

My band and I played a gig here last month and it was such a great vibe. Loved the wide selection of acts on that night and the huge beer garden out the back of the pub!

This place is an absolute gem if all you're looking for in a pub is personality. It has a massive back garden which I can only imagine to be ten times better in the summer months, the indoor bit has an amazing stage perfect for all kinds of music and other acts. I've told nearly everyone I know about this place and can't wait to come back!

I turned up to see a band (Bob Collum and the Welfare Mothers) but was surprised by the quality of everything here. This is a big old pub which has been adapted for music very well. Not least, Bev, the amazing Sound Engineer deserves a mention here. He is a gentle and focussed professional. Bar staff were attentive, friendly and efficient. An excellent range of cask and craft beers. A pizza oven at the back of the huge garden.

Love this pub. Have been coming here for a number of years now and it never fails to deliver. Lot's of great events throughout the year, always friendly & always welcoming. Staff have always been on hand to help out & very positive.

Love this pub, great music venue with a huge selection of bands and genres, friendly staff, lovely beer garden - perfect in the summer but also sheltered in the winter. I always have a great time here!
