My 5 stars comes purely from Nick. He is an absolute legend. He is so kind and always makes me feel welcome. He is a big asset to this boozer.

Food is middle of the road The type of food you cook when you are pissed on a Sunday ... overpriced for what it is ...

What a wonderful beautiful pub lovely staff great atmosphere couldn't ask more

I had a really nice time there. The waiter/barman was really proactive and helpful and the food was very good. Portions were proper. Prices are what you would expect I'd say, maybe a little cheaper since it's further from the city.

We ordered the chicken roast and the lamb roast from the Sunday menu. Both roasts had old tasting potatoes, the chicken all you could taste was strong taste of garlic, the lamb was definitely not falling off the bone, it was hard to chew. We left everything on a plate. It was by far the worst meal we had.

Had Sunday lunch here , the lamb roast was super delicious one of the best roasts I’ve had out. Staff were polite and friendly and lovely selection of wine to choose from. Fabulous experience I will definitely be returning on a regular basis. Best pub for miles.

An outstanding pub with delicious food and drinks . Must try chicken gyoza, Korean stiry fry udon noodle with prawns.

Nice new pub. Pricey, as shown by the fact that it's lost a lot of customers since it opened but at least for those who like to know beforehand that they will get a table and quick service at the bar it's a fiod choice. Even on Saturday night plenty of table space.

What a fabulous place, food fantastic, and everyone so friendly and helpful! Am from Liverpool so won't have chance to visit for a while, but will definitely be back when visiting family in North London

Decent pub with decent food. They had the football on and a kids party, so good all round family fun.

A nice place to hangout. The food menu is not very elaborate. The available menu is served hot fresh and tastes good. Service is really good. The bartenders are happy go lucky .

The local knitting club hosts it's weekly meetup here and it's a lovely place. The gyozas are delicious as well!

Though the menu is quite small the food was tasty and well presented. We got restaurant service at a pub which is totally unexpected! Jenny, who served us is polite, friendly and helpful. Definitely plan to visit again, need Nachos on the menu and some more vegetarian options please!!

Not busy at lunchtime so quick service. The new lunch menu; a sandwich, fries and non alcoholic drink was good value.

13 of us meet here for a reunion and we had use of a small function room, we were given the option to play our own music, which as it turned out could not do on the night but the manager accommodated us be asking what we wanted to hear and play what he had. All the staff looked after us well. I highly recommend the Fox Pub.

It's our late Sunday place of escape before Monday kicks in..Me, my brother in law and his dog we regularly have our dosage of 3 Heineken pints since the place has reopen after the renewal works..We like the place, the staff ,the view to outside and specially our beloved drinks..

Great for eating watching football & drinking

Cool, atmospheric bar with friendly service. However, there is no open kitchen in the evenings. Sometimes you want to have a snack with a beer, but unfortunately the kitchen is usually closed. I understand that main courses cannot be served, but why can't I order at least fries?

Absolutely stunning pub. I haven't been there for years but I love what they've done with the place It looks gorgeous. I'll be back to try out the food

I went today we all had sirloin of beef it was lovely except it could have been hotter and fat on beef could have been cut of before putting on plate staff were very friendly and helpful we will go back

Had a lovely meal, Burger and chips was cooked and tasted brilliant. Others had fish and chips looked lovely and tasted fantastic. Service was very good. When back in London will certainly go back.

Nice looking place from the outside but pretty basic inside. Small bar at the entrance. Despite having a table booked for dinner there was no drinks service for us. Biggest issue was the quality of the food - it was bad. Definitely the worst burger I’ve ever had - tasted like a school dinner burger. Won’t be back.

Place looks lovely but the food is disgusting. Burgers made so cheap you can taste its frozen. How can you ruin a burger?

Booked for the Christmas party meal. Food was exceptional and reasonably priced for 3 courses. There was a wonderful atmosphere and all staff were very friendly. Will definitely plan further get togethers in The Fox.

Updating my review because while I still think the drink selection and food is poor, the owners are trying with regular events, music, comedy, quizzes etc. A centre for the community is something Palmers Green needs. Just needs some improvement to be to the standard of other great local pubs like Winchmore or Little Green Dragon.

Recently reopened under new ownership, and much prefer the style now. Fun games and different nights organised almost every day of the week, live sports shown, nice interior and lovely staff and manager. Nice to have a local pub back on track

Nipped in quickly on a Saturday morning for couple pints around midday, pleasant enough, got told to take my cap off, bit strange... I'm 62 male, left and probably won't return, does this apply to females in a wedding party as well?

Fantastic service from The Fox since re-opening. Great to have this gem back up and running in the heart of Palmers Green with the fresh new look. Tasty quality food with a diverse menu, drinks on tap always crisp and refreshing with a plethora of spirits, cocktails and bottles to chose from. The Managers (J & P) and Chefs are an amazing group of people! They know the essence of hospitality and how to make their customers happy. The bar staff are also always welcoming and efficient. This is an ideal place for a casual drink, to socialise with friends & family even more so it's children friendly. They have a stunning private function room with modern audio visual equipment in place. For sports fans you're spoilt for choice on what match to watch with their multiple HD screens available around the pub. Look after this place everyone! And here's to keeping it safe & busy always! I had a leaving work drink at The Fox with about 25 people last night. James, Padraig and the rest of the team were absolutely outstanding in making sure the night went perfectly. Drinks on request and a lovely selection of food for my guests to tuck into. Highly recommended.

If I could would be 0..discriminating people from what they wearing..?! A PUB..?! I guess money are not the same if you wear shorts hahahaha avoid at any cost.

The pub itself has a great atmosphere. Too bad you can have connection only in one part of the pub.

Friendly staff and atmosphere. Went on a Wednesday night and it was fairly quiet. Food was a bit disappointing, the Caesar salad was drenched in dressing and too strong. Half the dressing would have been perfect 😀 The portions are huge, the kids food looked good. I had sticky toffee pud which was disappointing, tasted too much of ginger. Would go again, maybe it was an off day.

A classy little pub recently refurbished. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. It also has a sports tv and outdoor seating for warmer days. Family and dog friendly pub. Also plays a good selection of music - not too loud either. Clean table with napkins and cutleries pre-set. Condiments and drink mats added. I ordered Chicken Caesar salad today. The chicken was a little dry and crispy but they did add avocado at my request. I came here Saturday too with my son. The chicken was softer but the size was smaller compared with today. Definitely anice relaxing pub to visit.

We had a great time. We booked the Function Room for our wedding reception and from the get go had an amazing service. Padraig and John took our thrown together ideas and made it happened. We chose a British theme since we were going to have a second party in Italy and they organised an amazing Pimms reception and British buffet, which was much appreciated by the Italian and the British guests alike. They took care of our guests with different dietary needs and suggested us when to cut the cake or do the fist dance, a bit like wedding planners. They have professional, but friendly manners and we couldn't be happier with our choice. I can see us becoming regulars now that we are back home!

Not the usual review on here, but I worked for the Fox for a few months while travelling, what an amazing refurbished company. From the staff, to the customers a lovely local pub to enjoy some food and drinks! James and Padraig are so hard working and try there best to accommodate staff and customers, they were such a pleasure to work for! The fox is in such an exciting times, with all the new events organised like quiz night and live music and use of function room for customer events.. watch this space!! If there’s one thing you need to do is try out there amazing Sunday roast!! Book through the website you won’t regret it!! Wikipedia says ‘The first mention of The Fox is in 1682’ this pub is steeped in history. I grew up in this area and this pub has a history which we are passionate about. Over the past 20 years the custodians have NOT maximised the potential of this pub. The new decoration is not nice or stylish at all, it’s not a cosy pub in any way. The tacky fake leaves, wood everywhere and neon is a real let down. Quite a few TV screens which indicates who they want. Nothing has gone into the design that reflects this beautiful building’s history. I have a loyalty to this area and it is important this pub succeeds, starting with a bit of warmth would be good. The fish and chips I ordered was so oily and greasy I couldn’t finish it.

What a lovely pub I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a cozy or lively night all staff were amazing and friendly the choice of drinks were delicious so pls visit.

Nice local. Does jazz nights, and other entertainment in the evening. Lamb kofta are authentic and really good!!

The food in The Fox was bad. The Sirloin steak is one to avoid, the bottom of my shoe probably would have been better. Beer selection is OK, weird that they leave Inches cider on tap when they don’t sell it and haven’t for months. Kids get the boot at 7pm sharp every night, so if you want to do a family dinner there, forget it. I think they did a nice job fitting it out and the service was good. The Fox is like the rest of Palmers Green, it’s OK, but needs some work and will never be a destination people want to travel for.

Went for drinks and enjoyed a pleasant atmosphere. Considering how much more expensive it could have u we were pleasantly surprised to only spend £25 each

They were very gracious when I knocked over my drink when watching the rugby and replaced without charge even though I offered 👍🏻

Good service, the landlord always says hi, food is good, great Sunday dinners. Glad it's reopened, although it's a shame it's not as big, although it was perhaps cavernous before.

One of the bar staff is untrained on allergies, I asked him if they serve gluten free beer and he said yes. He ended up giving me the wrong beer and said sorry, I don't know which one it is. Kind of a let down.

Very cosy pub restaurant. The refurb is tasteful and classical ..plenty of screens for sport. Did not even realise the separate room with the giant screen until I was leaving. Food is great. The steak was great value and cooked just right. I will be insisting on more crumble on my apple next time. Great evening, lovely clientele. I will be bank and back and back.

This is newly refurbished. Nice for a drink and a good atmosphere. We had Sunday lunch which was a little disappointing. Otherwise we go for a drink quite often and it's always a nice place to go.

Great staff, great for sport and weekend beers, apparently one of ladies toilets is missing a toilet seat which is a shame for a brand new pub, really well decorated apart from that. Mothers Day dinner was disappointing, it was served in under 5 minutes of ordering, limited children’s menu but that is probably because they are they are not aiming for that type of market. Recent Paddies day event was a roaring success the pub was packed wall to wall with live music. It’s a new pub so will have a few teething problems. Serve a good pint, great for sport which is all I want so great for me but not for family dining but have all my basis covered 👍

Terrible food!!!😱 do not eat the pork bites not fit for human consumption!!! Asked for Bloody Mary no Tabasco no Worcester staff sent out to buy but couldn’t find Tabasco (no spice & very watery!!!) sea bass tail end dried out salad garnish wilted & dry!!! Caesar salad croutons soaked in cooking oil 😫 staff asked if every thing ok we said no & she just ignored our comments we will NOT BE RETURNING!!!!🤬!!!POOR STANDARDS!!!

Visted last week for a family celebration. Delighted to see the place open again and busy but sadly it was a little too busy to manage the restaurant service. As a large party we understood that things might take a bit longer but it was disappointing that a number of our menu choices became 'unavailable' as we waited The lovely person serving our table had to come twice to tell us, first that the pie had run out and shortly afterwards, the chicken. At this point most people ended up choosing ham egg and chips (seeemed a safe option - what could go wrong ?) and were all surprised when the eggs arrived cold and hard boiled. The Buddha Bowl was not a good choice either ...We enjoyed our evening, the space is good, staff are friendly and helpful and it's a pleasant place for a beer, but I can't recommend as somewhere to eat.

The Fox has had a total rebuild into a fantastic space. It has excellent food, top quality decor, subtle but plentiful large screens for sports, a function room, an Insta Feature wall and sparkling toilets. It's easy to see how the £1.3 million was spent. Our visit started when the pub was quiet on a weekday afternoon. However, by the time we left at 7.30 every seat and table was taken. It seems the local area and beyond are really excited by this venue ! I had been looking forward to visiting having lived a few doors away for years. The drinks : we sampled the London Pride and it was perfectly served and at a normal London price for an upmarket pub. To accompany our food we got a bottle of the Pinot Noir ( California ) and at just £26 it was superb value. Fruity, light, and smooth. At that price it has to be the best bottle of red in a venue in London ! Brilliant. The Food : we had a chicken burger ( Cajun ) and the beef burger. Both were served beautifully, were tasty and excellent quality. There was plenty of grilled Cajun chicken ! Chips were not plentiful but were crisp and hot. A side salad with coleslaw was well prepared. ( See photos ) The Service : the staff were friendly and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed and checked on how our food was. A final word about the development. The outside of the pub has been restored to its original glory. It looks fantastic as you can see from my photos. At last Palmers Green has a top pub and venue with the historic Fox fit for the 21st century. Absolutely top notch and must be in line for awards as the best pub in North London if there is such a thing ! Go visit !

Great to have finally open again. Nice atmosphere. Too many tv's so made it feel more like a sports bar. Very pleasant. Would go back again.

Went for lunch for an anniversary celebration. The two first courses came with the same sauce (both wrong) and the so called beef and mushroom pie wasn't a pie at all but a bowl of very stringy possibly beef, stringy greens and peas (no mushrooms) covered in mash served with yet more mash and some vegetables (mainly loads of broccoli). Every meal I've had at the nearby Wetherspoons has tasted better than this. The starters were served over half an hour after ordering. The prices are very expensive for what you get. We weren't the only diners that were unhappy. Another customer left complaining about the food, saying she was going to Asda to get a sandwich.

Disappointing really. 3 weeks or so into opening and the ladies toilets are a state... One missing a lock, one missing a seat and the other missing toilet roll and is dirty. There's a no hat rule that the bar staff admitted 'they don't really understand' but chose to enforce two hours after I arrived. I asked if I could leave some feedback but the barman said no. Apparently the only option is to review here. I want this pub to be a success, I live down the road and was looking forward to having another place to choose. But my bobble hat never hurt anyone, I don't understand the policy and it doesn't encourage me to return. Please consider reviewing.

Great to see the Fox is back. Palmers Green is very much lacking in pubs. The refurbishment of the place is fantastic, clean modern friendly and inviting. But it's a real shame they didn't put as much effort into the selection of drinks. Same old standard beers, rums and vodkas that you would find in any other middle of the road standard pub. And considering the Wetherspoon is just across the road with a far greater selection I feel the Fox is missing an opportunity here. A bit boring, but I suppose that's what sells.

Hi to the fox public house. Just came from Ireland with my family was advised by my extended family in Palmers Green that if I wanted a good meal and good atmosphere try the new fox. We had a wonderful afternoon. The food was top notch. The staff are great and on point. The kids left and me and the family stayed on for the evening and had a great time. Great place to meet up and have a good time. Thanks to the staff for a great evening. Will definitely come again.

Pleased that The Fox has reopened after a long and eager wait but like many others have said, it has far too many TV screens dotted around the place and just screams sports bar. I don’t like the refit; it doesn’t feel trendy, traditional, or modern and just a bit naff for my liking. I took the family, but it didn’t strike me as particularly family friendly.

Hi. Expectation was massive. First Sunday roast in Fox after 4 years. We have arrived at 2.30. Table was booked. Awaiting 20 mins to order a food and drinks but been ignored. Went to a bar to place an order, and was very surprised that the food came to our table within 4 mins. Yorkshire puddings were a masterclass, but all the rest was a disaster. You can tell all of it was freshly cooked few hours before the opening and then reheated in a microwave. Beef was a rubbery. Half of chicken was nearly ice cold. Potatos soggy. Bit of boiled leeks, 2 little carrots and all covered with water wisked with mash potatoes instead of gravy. When i sent my daughters chicken back to the kitchen because it was to cold, it came back to our table within less than a minute microwaved and covered with hot potato water. Still cold... I am outraged. Although, staff was very nice and understanding and the atmosphere was great.

Disappointed. Been looking forward go it and we came on Sunday just for a drink! Person behind the bar told us it's no space!really????how rude

I love this pub. Staff are always helpful and very accomodating, there's a lot of space and it seems to be having a lot of regular customers. They have free WiFi too, which is a good plus, given how bad the signal is in the area.

Decent..pretty swanky after the renovation

Delighted to have a local pub at last! Went in for lunch yesterday & was really pleased with the clientele (B-road range of ages), the space & decor and the menu! I thought the food prices were reasonable, and the quality was great! The landlord popped over a couple of times to check everything was ok! Definitely will be making good use of it being a few minutes walk from home!
