One of the best Spoons, lovely building in a good town.

It's a spoons. Food is utterly average, except steak night. They know how steaks work.

It is a Wetherspoon pub in an old cinema, you know what you are going to get. The beer was great and very cheap, never thought I would see a pint for less than a pound again, Worthington was 99p.

Was in this place on Thursday the 13 March at about 1.30 on. The place was in a discusting state. Empty tables were dirty and plates etc left lying on them. I asked three times if a table could be cleared for us but in the end I cleared one my self. ( at that stage we should have left ). Ordered 2 x Scampi and chips, 1x Chicken Curry and 1x large mixed grill. The chips on all meals were inedible absolutely discusting. The mixed grill was allso inedible. Do not go into this place for food as it’s discusting.

Called in for breakfast muffin deal which we've done numerous times. On ordering, we were informed that there weren't any muffins. Server said she could do the sandwiches in bread but we'd be charged the original price and also be charged extra for the drinks!!! Surely they should have honoured the deal considering that'd ran out of muffins? Absolute disgrace, won't be back!!!

Love a weatherspoons but first time going to The Forum and the last! Some of the staff were miserable, we waited approximately 40 - 45 mins for our breakfast which was warm, eggs and bacon was like rubber. A couple behind us waited 30 minutes just for toast! It wasn't busy when we arrived and appeared fully staffed so not sure what the wait was due to as other customers were complaining. Worst weatherspoons we have visited. Really disappointed 😞

I enjoyed a pint of real ale £1.49 - the beer was in great condition and a great Pint - i didnt eat but the food i saw being served looked very good, what you would expect and in keeping with this style of pub restaurant - i will return

This was a superb pub for drinking, with a strong vibe carried from the lighting throughout! Counter is very smart and the different colours across the pub are intriguing, accompanied by glass separators and varied frames. I had a pint of Stowford Press, sitting comfortably at a small, clean table!

This is best for mans outfits and foot wear eye love it and it the best thing ever for partners to get what they want for the other haft of your sole.

Great place for a lunchtime meal and catch up with friends.

Even for a Witherspoons the standard of food here is so poor.

We attended 11am on Thursday 12th December. Had excellent service from the lad who was team leader. Did not catch his name but he had a great front of house manner. Many thanks

Slightly slower for drinks than other Wetherspoons food was really quick and off a decent standard for this type of place. Plenty of seating as was clean not a half bad place.

Decent Wetherspoons - belated review from a visit early in November. Clean, nicely turned out ex cinema (there's still an arts/cinema venue attached). Had a nice breakfast for about £3, all served hot unlike some Wetherspoons. Couple of Black Sheep guest ales on my visit both rated very highly (a pair of 4's on the CAMRA NBSS rating - out of 5). Not quite a five star review as I think could have done with a greater variety of guest ales. Anyway 👍.

We visited on a Sunday evening, what a delight. Very clean, food served quickly.

Dropped in for coffee break and biscuits. Had to clear table as v busy.

Visting for a local event. Bar staff worked extremely efficiently despite large numbers of guests and kept queues to a minimum. Food was better than expected and very tasty. Always love a cheap pint.

Busy pub but it is in the main market area of town. Ordered by the app to save going to bar. When food arrived was as ordered no complaints

Pleasant conversion of part of an old cinema. Beer can be a bit hit or miss.

A nice can of 00 Guinness, £2-48 spot on.

Cheap, cheerful and clean. It's a 'spoons. Set in this classic building, the back area has a vaulted airy feel about it. The pints and wine were cheap, there was enough room for decent conversation to be held.

I had an eggs benedict which was nice, but then I ordered a warm cookie dough sandwich which I spent 20 minutes waiting for, before I gave up and left as I didn't have any more time. I'm very annoyed as I spent £5.30 for something I didn't even receive

I bought a £2.35 breakfast and it was small and very good. The service was great, helpful. I added a lot of black pepper to my egg just the way I like. The breakfast was about 400 calories so a good start to the working day. It was around 8.30 am and people were meeting up for coffee and breakfast. A pleasant experience.

Food is much like any basic fast food place though they offer a wide variety of options. Very beautiful building, old cinema converted to diner.

I visited yesterday and it was filthy it looked like mens toilets hadn't been cleaned in years

Not as busy for a bank holiday, but struggled to find a table as most of them were full of plates from previous customers! Think they need more staff

Had lunch with family. Very good price and food was decent. Great choice of dishes.

I have found this venue of weatherspoons good, I decided yo get the 10 from gateshead a d come here for a few drinks, and in past I have eaten here and have never found any room for complaint, so if you are visiting Hexham then make sure you pop in, all you need to do is walk up the Rd from bus station, wait till you see the bank on the corner right hand side, turn right and walk straight ahead and you find the old market sq and , it there, and they have quiz back on as of the 8th.

Usual who’s next rigmarole at the bar wouldn’t mind but there was only two people waiting and the bar person seen me get too the bar first I get this every time in Wetherspoons bit of awareness by the staff wouldn’t go amiss

First of all, I want to make it perfectly clear that I can't fault the staff, nor the absolutely great drink prices. If you want a good deal and that's all you're concerned about, just go to Wetherspoon. My issue was with the ambience of the place; I didn't like it. I found it dark and depressing. Also, I didn't like the racks on display at the end of the bar; they looked messy and should be hidden away in my opinion. This is the reason I have marked it down. In contrast to this, the Wetherspoon outlet in Morpeth is a 5 out of 5 venue. It's big and spacious and had a great atmosphere when we visited.

This place needs a total refurb. As you go in the door it stinks of damp, the carpets are horrid and the decor is dated and dirty. It’s nothing like other Wetherspoons. The food is good depending on the person cooking it, so it can be a bit of a lottery. The staff are generally lovely.

It's a spoons but in a lovely little town of Hexham so it's a five star from me

They made a mistake with our food order 2x fish and chips 2 x hot drinks 2 x millionaire shortbread. Only one fish and chips delivered. Apparently they were unable to correct the order in the afternoon meal deal. Absolutely shocking 😔. Very poor service!

The Forum cinema is a wonderful small venue! Comfortable and welcoming, just lovely old time vibes. Been going here since I was 12 and it's now better than its ever been.

Typical Wetherspoon's. Menu is varied with plenty choice. Food was edible. Service was pleasant and quick.

Haven't been here for a while, and there is a reason. Don't be taken in by the decor, and "lovely old cinema' reviews. No, this pub isn't the cleanest for eating. Tables are filthy and don't get cleaned enough. The food leaves a lot to be desired despite prices going up. The toilets weren't a good experience. Down very steep steps. NO DISABLED ACCESS downstairs. Those with mobility issues have to use cinema toilets next door. Oh yes, the ambience.. If you want a quiet drink, never come here! Friday and Saturday nights can be worse and late at night. It's rough as a badger! Can be rowdy and gangs of youths and chavs shouting whilst drunk. I've heard some punters acting and sounding like wild animals. A horrible experience. The language used and conversation you over hear from some of the younger ones is very inappropriate.. Don't fetch a family here! Hexham has friendlier and more welcoming establishments. Too rowdy and too full of drunken behaviour with NO DOOR SECURITY! Avoid if you can.

Beautiful Art Deco! Stunning decor. Overall a brilliant Wetherspoons’.

It's a Wetherspoons - so you know what you're getting. However, the interior is a real surprise, original art deco. Well worth a visit.

The pub did not appear busy, however, drinks ordered on the app took 25 minutes to be brought to the table. - I overheard bar staff speaking to the table behind us regarding their drinks that, “I don’t know when you’ll get them.” Waiting/bar staff appeared to be young and untrained in both bar-work and customer service. There was several accidents with spilt drinks and the drinks trays during our visit. We ordered 2 boneless chicken baskets which took 35 minutes to arrive at the table. The meal was fine (comparable to other Wetherspoon’s food), although the side of coleslaw was missing.

They have a Special Offer on Top Meals at low deals, I did not notice this offer as I used the normal menu. I was very impressed with the idea!!! Thank you for the special offer of Top Plates, Low rates!!! The food was excellent!!!! and Staff friendly.

The wife had to go to Hexham hospital for day surgery, my son and myself dropped her off and after she had checked in we left and went to the Forum pub which opened at 8.0am which was brilliant for us and had breakfast. We had a good walk around Hexham then went back to the Forum pub for a sandwich and drink, All I can say is that it was warm and friendly, the food and drink was very reasonable priced would definitely recommend.

A really nice Wetherspoon's in an old cinema. I was in early for breakfast, £7 with a coffee. The staff were really friendly and chatty and the service rapid.

Popped in with the intention of having food but I was put off by the smell of the building. There was a dank, dirty smell lingering which may have been from the carpets. However, staff were helpful and service was good enough. The building is impressive but I think this place could do with refurbishment.

Not like most wetherspoons we're used to at home - but definitely worth a visit. They have limited menu but the food they had was good. Staff are friendly too!

Quirky place in an attractive town. There's still a functioning cinema above the bar in an interesting building just off the town centre. The split level layout makes for plenty quiet corners to enjoy food or just a drink. Warm and friendly atmosphere too

What a beautiful interior this building has, art deco, lovely and clean, a great place for lunch. Staff very friendly, food was really good for the price we paid. Tasted very fresh and was nice and hot. Nice atmosphere. Very good service, definitely a place to lunch at again when in Hexham. Has a cinema next door but we were in Hexham for other purposes so we were unable to sample the cinema. Recommended.

Visit pre cinema. Excellent and friendly service. Drinks dispensed and food orders taken. Food was more than acceptable. Fish and chips v good and same with my burger. Many other restaurants should take careful note. Value for money is incredible in these times.

I know it's a Wetherspoons, but the food was great, the drinks were cold, and the service was friendly and professional all round. Will happily return next time we're there
