The fish and chips are always superb and at a very fair price. Special mention to the curry sauce which is probably the best I've had from a chippy

Most definitely the best fish and chips I have had. Only on holiday, but ate there 4 times that week! Portion size was very large, so large that the fish went in a separate box to the chips!

Would highly recommend this place I had cod bites and chips and my partner had a large cod and chips cooked really well cooked really quickly really nice service. Both the servers were really polite and welcoming. Really lovely food would come back again.

Ordered on Easter Sunday. There were thirteen of us so big order. Fish and chips were the best I’ve had. All lovely and hot and very good portion sizes.

After seeing they were in the first 20 of the best fish chip shops in UK gave them a go but nothing like the 2 closest chips shops to me only 20 minutes away from this place bloody scam chips were dry burger was fried battered sausage had hardly any batter on it and my cheese burger had no cheese in it wouldn't listen to the mirror think it was a paid for advertising definitely not in the top 20 that's for sure

Great food, good value for money, and proper, I mean proper chips! Not the soggy excuses for chips from other chippys that they pass ofd as chips! First time, but will. definitely go again when in the area.

This place cooks the best cod and chips I know and I'm fussy. I travel from Hampshire to my friends in Dorset and steer by the Forum Fryer enroute to pick us up a superior Friday night meal. The staff are professional, friendly and very efficient.

First time customers having only recently moved to the area. Fish was amazing. Chips were delicious. We really enjoyed it. Will definitely be back! Thank you.

Food is good. When i am in blandford and want a chippy this is the only one i go to now. Service is a little slow but probably due to how busy they can get.

The best in town. Chips have always been fresh and crisp, the Chicken id travel miles for and the fish has always been good.

Everyone raves about this place. Tried it last week and it was horrid. Fish and chips were disgusting and greasy. Went back today thinking they must have had a bad night and it was worse. Same as before, chips no bigger than an inch and terrible. This is an honest and sincere post. Stay clear. I know it is slim pickings in Blandford for a takeaway but a disgrace. Got photo's to prove

Unfortunately the young girls serving were acting like young girls laughing giggling not paying attention. Which meant our meal was wrong and we didn't notice until we got home. One customer came outside and said it's like a youth club behind there. My wife's fish was over cooked my meal was wrong . Maybe the fryer should be paying more attention to the food rather than having a laugh with the staff . £16 for a meal that took ages and was wrong . But I did enjoy watching 3 girls make boxes for the food. Maybe this could be done before you open then Maybe more attention to the clue in the title fish and chips would not have lead us to giving our fish to the dog which at least she enjoyed the rest went in the bin and so meant a bad review .

Called in here as thought I might get a good meal on the way out of town. They had a sausage in batter ready in the hot-box so I said I'd have that with a large chips. Got it all home and while the batter on the sausage was rock hard it was very greasy. The chips weren't up to much either. I remember seeing a sign outside saying "staff wanted". Perhaps they need a decent cook.

Great fish and chips. Good sized succulent fish and fantastic sized portion of chips. All crispy and freshly cooked. Would highly recommend.

Really nice place. The staff were very friendly & seemed really happy to work there. The prices reasonable and good value and the food was all marked up if vegetarian; which is a great thing to see. Would definitely return.

Saturday evening take away,chips were overcooked and very scrappy.Very disappointed threw half of the portion in the bin.

Best fish and chips we have had in ages. We were in Blandford from Essex for a short break and managed to try this wonderful fish and chip shop on a Sunday too. We’ll be sure to come back on our next trip back.

Excellent fish and chips, best I have had in ages. My daughter had a fishcake which was delicious, I had cod which was so well cooked and the batter was so light. The chips were amazing too! Would highly recommend this chippy!

Was visiting family and decided to treat to fish and chip dinner, went into order, waited ages, staff in there looked a mess, and standing around having their own conversation. When got home (about 3 min drive away) and dished out dinner the fish was watery, chips rubbery and curry sauce/mushy peas cold. Real disappointment and an expensive lesson learnt…won’t be going back there

After a long time since I went to this shop as the last time they were not nice at all & I normally go to Shaftesbury I thought I would give Forum Fryer another go. I wish I never now after a big order we were all very disappointed. The chips were well over cooked more like crispy roast potatoes small & hard they all went into the bin, sorry but back to Shaftesbury I shall go .

Lovely. 2 portions of chips with 1 saveloy for under a tenner. Arrived, seen to and had the order ready within 10 mins, felt valued and the staff were friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Best fish and chips I have had in a long while. The Haddock was a good size and lightly battered, not thick like other chippies. The chips were also nice and dry and crisp. Only criticism is my portion of chips was a lot of the small ends. Sometimes the chips here aren’t as dry and crispy but on this occasion they were on point. You get a good size plate of food too, so I was really happy.

Chicken and chips combo £5.10 would be a good price if they gave you more 10 chips. Portion size was pathetic. Would get more in a kids meal

Staff are friendly and the food is all cooked fresh so takes a little longer but it's worth it. The 'salad' in the burger was just one piece of lettuce but otherwise really good

I can honestly say that its the best fish and chips I've ever had ! The online portal service was easy to follow and payment is taken before you leave home. We ordered our food for 7.20 and at 7.18 the food was being boxed for us ( this is new for me as the other place I went to wrapped it ) the food was still hot enough that even by the time we got home it didn't have to be reheated. We all ordered 3 Large Cod and 1 Large Chips, ( my sons also ordered a battered sausage each and some mushy peas as usually that are not full up from other places ). The fish came in a 13" x 6" box and it almost filled the entire thing. The service , presentation, and quality of the food was excellent. You have yourselves a new ( happy ) customer - Thank you

Used a couple of times in the last few weeks, very easy to order online and pick a time to collect. The fish share box is excellent value. Very friendly staff.

Chips and fish batter were delightfully golden and crispy. Oil must have been fresh as the taste was excellent. Staff friendly and place clean. Lunchtime deal very reasonable. Would recommend. Thanks

My wife had fish and chips, and I had sausage and chips. Well cooked but with a different taste poss diferent oil?? Never the les was quite tasty. Two problems one was the amount of scrapps against chips, the other we were BOTH violently ill in the early hours of the morning we have come to the conclusion that it could be the type of oil used to fry in as it hit both of us. REPLY TO AM I SURE ITS THE ONE NEXT CO OP YES I KNOW WHERE I BOUGHT FROM

Up there as one of the best fish and chips shops around cooked to order and very tasty l'v had lots of fish and chips and this is one of the best.

Called in this establishment whilst passing through blanford. Nice clean chippy and friendly staff. Ordered mince beef and onion pukka pie and chips. Was a little shocked at the cost of the pie whopping £4.30 for a pie that retails for around £2. Understand business has a mark up and needs a profit margin perhaps I'm out of touch. Chips delicious.

We had the fish share box and it was delicious, the fish was really crisp not at all greasy. We ordered on the website and collected, very easy , the food was still hot when we got home and because they serve in a box the chips stayed crisp and not all squashed . The price is great value and there was plenty for 2 adults . Highly recommend.

I don’t normally do reviews but this Fish and Chips deserves one! The batter and chips were nice and crispy, not oily at all and the fish was cooked to perfection! One of the best fish and chips I’ve had.

A few minutes. Turns out to be over 30min wait. Most of staff just standing around. Won't be going back. Had to cancel order as already waited so long

Eaten from here a few times before but today Ordered a couple of sausages and chips, with sauces, the batter on the sausage was pale and undercooked with bits of burnt flakes stuck all over it and the chips were way over cooked, threw it in the bin, plain sausage and mushy peas were ok though

Absolutely awfull. Waited 40 minutes for fish and chips for the fish to be damp and the chips were soggy as you like. I advise nobody to use this chip shop.

Beautiful chips, lovely batter. The fish was a little disappointing and the mushy peas were a bit dry but we would get another takeaway as it's much better than Long John's in town.

Great fish n chips served here and I hope if you go there you’ll get the same quality as I did, staff and service was very efficient no problems experienced here at all, so give mum a break and stay away from the kitchen at least one day a week and enjoy your freshly cooked meal!

Just moved to Blandford. First time here. First impressions count. Lots of happy customers waiting. Engaging, proactive staff. Specials either fish or chicken. No expectations. Price made me go for it. Got home. Wow. Impressed with the portion sizes. Impressed with the quality of the food. Had loads left over. Just what we needed after a busy FRY DAY ! Another delicious takeaway last night. I used to drive from blandford all the way to Shaftesbury for fish and chips an now I don't need to. Even when really busy they never compromise on the food. Absolutely amazing chippy

Been over a year since have had fish and chips from these guys, and just as good. Great batter on the haddock, nicely cooked fish, hot fresh chips and a pleasant friendly service from the young girl at the counter. Don't change anything! Keep it up!

Can't recommend, the Scampi was worse than any supermarket or frozen scampi I've ever had. The curry sauce was very mid. The only good thing is you get a decent amount of chips for the price. On the upside the service was friendly and fast.

Just had large cod and chips and as always it was beautiful, the fish just breaks away when you put your fork in and the chips are cooked to perfection, pest chippy in blandford

Had takeaway from there a couple of times..super yummy! 😋 and I normally do not like fish and chips! But chips are nice and crispy on the outside not mushy. Cod and batter is delicious! Would thoroughly recommend. Very popular though so you do have to wait for about ten minutes if you didn’t buy it online.

Stopped here while visiting Blandford Forum. It was the best Fish and Chips we had for years. Haddock was full of flavour with light batter and a good size. Chips were perfect, crispy outside, and fluffy inside. A brilliant find

Visit here when I come to Dorset to see my dad as it's a treat for him . The food is always good and the staff are really helpful regarding my dietary requirements. Always have a chat with the ladies on the counter and a good giggle. Definitely recommend it if you are ever in Blandford forum ,

Had haddock and large chips for dinner last night, staying here from London and can honestly say best I've had for years, lucky Blandford.

The best chips we’ve had! Weren’t too greasy and great portion size. Halloumi fries are also lovely as are the burgers! Definitely recommend. We don’t have many takeaways in blandford so it’s great when you find a good one!

Ordered on line for collection as i live in Bournemouth, was easy and simple. Ready on arrival for the specified time slot. Had the lunchtime small fish and chips with extra mushy peas. Can hand on heart say that this was probably the best fish 'n' i have had. I ahve a chippy at the end of my road, not a patch on the Forum Frier...well done

Updated review 16/7/23 Just had Haddock & Chips and I have to say they were amazing!! The food is cooked to order so expect a short wait , you won't be disappointed!! The Chips are cooked to perfection and batter was light a crisp. I had eaten from FF in the past but they have excelled this evening. Fantastic fish and chips, best in town and big portions too 🐟🐟🐟🍟🍟🍟

Best fish & chips in Dorset Never had to complain

Can't even begin to describe how delicious my first time here was. Perfect chips - soft inside crunchy outside. Same for the battered sausages. I had my doubts on the curry sauce being from the north.. I was wrong, also spot on

Best pea fritter in Blandford!!! My husband and I have returned often since moving. Perfect chippies and wonderful staff.

A decent meal on a Thursday lunchtime for the specials. Quite pricy if you don’t get a special but decent food, staff friendly, all cooked fresh. PS - Disappointing the sachet of tartar sauce and slice of lemon has disappeared out the cod and chips boxes. That was always a nice little touch.

Excellent quality fish. I had large haddock( which is not normally an option in other takeaways) and it was delicious and large!. Loads of tasty chips for a regular portion but I would like mine cooked slightly more . Unusually the chips are boxed separately from the fish. But the whole order stayed lovely and hot even after a 6 mile journey back. Everyone really enjoyed their fish and chip supper!

We were six; it was the evening of Good Friday, so we reckoned that it made sense to book a time for us to go to the Forum Frier to collect a pre-ordered meal of fish. As expected, there was a long queue of customers, but we could straightway advance to collect our bags of food. And it was plentiful and delicious.

Just had our meal. Really nice and freshly prepared. Fish was all fish with a lovely batter that was not too thick, unlike some where the batter is two thirds of the fish.Staff were very friendly and efficient. Thank You and we will be back.

Chronic stomach aches, gas and wind for the whole family after eating the food. Shame as it was nice.

Always hit and miss, sometimes good sometimes average. Cod often more batter than fish. Unsure why the revamp has left less inside space for people to wait. Expensive without the consistency of best quality. This is only my opinion.
