Really lovely pub and perfectly located. Outside seating to enjoy the sound of the waves. Food was OK, I enjoyed what I had. The atmosphere in this pub is lovely and the service was really good too.

I defiantly was not expecting great food or service, how wrong I was. Pint of cider and a massive fresh coronation chicken sandwich service on a bed of fresh salad.

Popped in for a drink and was impressed by the selection of beers etc. The staff were extremely pleasant and friendly. Will definitely be back for a meal next time.

Popped in after walking the south west coast path from Heddon Mouth, sat in the bar area, the bar staff were lovely, for was delicious and arrived very quickly. Very relaxing after a hilly walk.

Good range of drinks and friendly service. It was a bit quiet on the evening we were there but atmosphere was good - helped by the excitement of the waves crashing over the sea wall. Great location as well. Didn't have food here so can't comment on that.

Popped into Combe Martin for a look whilst in the area on holiday. Saw this place as it is So 🐕 dog friendly, staff amazing and the food incredible! Lovely views of the sea whilst eating 😀 really recommended 👌 xxxx

We went one night for a meal, which was lovely. I had the mushroom and spinach pie, it was very tasty. The chips that came with weren't my favourite chips that I've ever had, just standard frozen chips, I thought perhaps they would have been home made for the price tag of £18 for the meal, but they were fine and done the job. The pie was lovely but think it may have been warmed up in the microwave as the pasty wasn't crisp, had that slightly soggy texture to it. Again for the price tag expected that tiny bit more. The salad was lovely and fresh. Husband had the meat pie and his was similar but very tasty he said. Staff were lovely and friendly. It is very dog and kid friendly too 🙂 Our second visit was to sit outside and have some drinks. We came the Bank Holiday Monday night to see the final of the tradition of 'The Hunting of the Earl of Rone' which was really interesting to see. Lovely how the whole town gets involved. The kids played on the beach while we sat and had a couple of drinks waiting for them all to come down with the Earl. Lovely atmosphere and really enjoyed talking to local people and other holiday makers, everyone was really nice. Staff were great and managed the crowds well, service wasn't affected at all 🙂 Couldn't have asked for a nicer spot to watch the sun come down and the tradition play out 😊😊

Originally loved this place been many times as view is lovely and food was great. But twice now we have experienced on different occasions a man that works their taking orders being very short with me and my wife. I appreciate its at times when they are busy and they are trying to be quick with customers to make sure they serve us as fast as possible. But It doesn't take much to be friendly and polite towards customers who are paying theur wages. Lovely place though just wasn't as a pleasant experience.

Stopped for a ploughman's after doing the Hangman walks. Very friendly pub, good beer and so nice to be able to eat outside overlooking the beach.

A very warm welcome was had by all. The staff are friendly and interactive. The food and ales are really good. We thought value for money was excellent.

We was here last week 25th September we had our evening meal here it was lovely I had the fish cakes they was amazing hubby and daughter had a burger and granddaughter had some chips and ice cream for pudding. The staff was so lovely and very friendly we didn't have to wait long for the food at all highly recommend this place 👍❤️

Had lunch in here on Friday. It was really good and the pub is fantastic with an incredible view. Unfortunately we didn't try it until the last day of our trip or else we would have definitely returned.

Update is that i revisited hoping for some improvent on the welcoming ..all good ...only problem was the food wad absolutely awful. This was not fresh, it was a microwave meal at £17 for Chicken Korma!!!!!!. I needed food, so didnt really have a choice. Its cheaper at an actual indian restaurant and fresh, and to be honest I would have been happier eating fish and chips on the beach. Any future visits will not happen. As your pub is in a premium location, at 5.30pm,I would have expected it to be busy...it wasn't...and now I know why. Improve your food quality, bring down your prices and maybe you will be a booming pub. Would have given it a 5 star, if it wasn't for the tall, grumpy bar man. No smile, no welcoming feeling. Rest of staff were really lovely. Food amazing and location right on the beach. Perfect

We went on Friday 16.00 for as it read homemade pie it definitely wasn't. No meat no gravy when we asked for some was given a jug with oxo cube in. Should have complained at the time

£17 for a lasagna. £5.50 for a carling.

I didn’t know The kitchen officially closes at 15:00 … However I found out when I tried to order at 14:59 and there was absolutely NO CHANCE for food.

Been going to Combe Martin for years and always have a meal or two here. Was perfect as usual. Ate on 3 separate occasions. My husband and daughter chose the vegetable lasagne, claim its the best they've ever eaten and would live the recipe to try at home. The Inn is in a perfect location, love views. Can't wait to visit again

We had a great meal here one evening on our holiday. Beautiful views of the bay while you eat. Very reasonably priced. Staff friendly. The ribs were incredible. Definitely recommend.

Had the displeasure of ordering chicken fillet burger and chips , to get 2 reconstituted deep fried bird's-eye style things that tasted of fryng oil @£ 37 for 2 of these and a pint of bitter and a lemonaid was very dissapointed. Don't say its a fillet burger if its a frozen lump of cr@p.

Amazing position overlooking the beach . Food is not fresh and expensive ! I'd rather eat at a Wetherspoons for half the price .

Endroit très sympa pour un verre, apéro après une après midi à la plage ou bien en dîner pour admirer le magnifique coucher de soleil ! Côté cuisine c’était moyen, nous avons testé le fish burger et le cake fish servis avec frites et salade. Dommage que les assaisonnements soient en « tube » industriel et non en dressing cuisine. Idem ketchup mayonnaise and co. Assez cher pour la qualité mais je pense que nous payons clairement pour la vue magnifique du coucher de soleil. Je recommande pour l’ambiance et la vue, mais ne vous attendez pas à de la grande cuisine :)

Das Lokal hat eine unschlagbare Lage direkt an Bucht und Strand. Draußen sitzt man perfekt, nachmittags in Richtung Sonnenuntergang. Drinnen ist's sehr modern eingerichtet. Nur für die Toiletten bräuchte man Gummistiefel!

What a great pub/restaurant, right on the shoreline looking into the bay. Friendly and helpful staff with a variety of wines and beers. A good relaxed atmosphere and food is absolutely spot on, with good portions. Added bonus is that you can watch some beautiful sunsets from this location. It's definitely worth a visit if you get the chance.

Was a nice visit, just rather expensive. Ham, egg and chips £15, that quite a mark up. But to be fair, every establishment for food is expensive. Ale was cornish, nothing from Devon..

Dog friendly and lovely staff. Usual range of beers so ale lovers don't hold your breath. Food is out of the freezer and bland. Probably a notch worse than Spoons.

If you live in the area on a well paid job then the prices mean nothing to you. But I'm a tourist who lives in a cheaper town on a low income,if you are like me then this place is extortionate in terms of pricing. If you like throwing your hard earned cash away come here.

Lovely lunch meal on outside terrace in sun! Everything was delicious, well deserved after scenic coastal walk up to Lt Hangman.

Don't waste your time going to this pub, they are shut. And they still say on their out of date Facebook page that they are open. Must just like to mess people about, they should delete the Facebook account.

Not been here for a few years but very impressed. The interior has been updated and is very modern. The outside seating area has spectacular views of the sea and small beach area just in front of the pub.

Great location always made welcome especially by barman Roger and menu greatly improved this year

Only in for a drink after one hec of a long walk up and down the coastal path and the Great and Little Hangman. They gave the dog a bowl of water and someone even bought him a bag of crisps! Went back a 2nd time for dinner which was very nice and the welcome just as big. Beautiful sunset to watch as we ate too.

Marvellous food, one of the best freshest Ploughmans lunches we have had, wonderful fresh ingredients. Washed down with an Exmoor ale. Excellent value for money. Wonderful friendly staff. Highly recommended

It looks recently decorated. Clean and tidy but we went on an evening and the lighting makes you feel like you are sat in someone's living room with the full lights on. Far too bright . Needs different lighting it was uncomfortable to sit and talk under such a bright light. Apart from lighting its a nice pub and good location

Ok found it a bit on the expensive side.

Went here recently just before sunset We sat and had dinner and a few drinks and watched the sunset from the terrace overlooking the beach. The location is out of this world and is one of the best sunsets. The drinks were good and very welcome after we had walked the coastal path from Ilfracombe. The food wasn't the best we've ever had but it was OK. We will return next time we are in the area.

Ate dinner here, seemed all frozen and bought in food, not impressed at all.ribs very chewy. Seemed to be re heating rather than cooking. Disappointed.

Nice place to sit with a beer and stare at the sea. Didn't try the food, so can't comment on that. Not a great beer selection and interior lacks character hence 4stars.
