I visit this coffee shop regularly and the coffee is great and the service friendly. The cakes look lovely, but I would never eat any here because they are always uncovered and at coughing height - which is a shame. Today there were a couple of danish on a plate right next to the card machine (I had to be careful not to get my elbow in them they were so close) There are lots of coughs and sneezes around…

I ordered a croissant, which are sat uncovered on the top of the counter, and 3 flies flew out from the croissant that a member of the team put in a bag. The member of staff clearly saw the flies as she swatted them away, yet proceeded to hand me the contaminated croissant. Awful and unhygienic!

Had a pit stop here and lovely coffee, one of the best tasting coffees I've had in the local area. Indoor and outdoor seating and reasonable prices with good service. Enjoyed my danish pastrie but really came for the legendry cinnemon buns but they had sold out! Recommended

Dropped in mid morning. This place has consistently great coffee and snacks. Service is prompt, with a smile and organised. Highly recommended

These Flour Pot Cafes do serve the most excellent coffee - they also have a menu offering the most unusual mixes of food which give the most unexpected delightful flavours - it seems they do the MOST of everything - but I can honestly say that whenever and whatever we have eaten in some of their numerous cafes we have always walked away with a feeling of well being and surprise at the enjoyment of what we had eaten - a very good experience of having a happy tummy!!!

Having checked what time the cafe closed which was 4:00pm I arrived at 3:20 and ordered a toastie to takeaway. The member of staff looked at the toaster machine which had obviously been cleaned and said "oh sorry we don't have any left". I pointed to the various ones in the cabinet and he said "they are for display only". It was obvious that he just could not be bothered to toast one and didn't want to use the toaster and that they were shutting down for the day but with 40 minutes left. I am not stupid, they were clearly not for display. I took my business elsewhere as I would rather spend my hard earned money somewhere that appreciated it. Flour pot are my favourite cafe in Brighton, Hove and Worthing but lately the quality of service has dropped, I have visited this one, Portland Rd and Hangleton and found grumpy unhelpful staff in all 3. It never used to be and is not what this premium brand should be offering. It's also obvious that the owners don't care either as they don't respond to reviews.

Bought a white sourdough loaf here the other day and it was honestly some of the best bread I have ever had! Can't wait to go back and pick up some more. I would.make the journey there every couple of days to pick some up!

First visit here and the coffee is the best I've had locally. The Americano was lovely and smooth. Friendly service but limited seating inside. Prices are basically you get what you pay for which for me was an unreal coffee and the best blueberry muffin I ever had. Recommended

Dropped at Tarring Flour Pot confident that we would get the lovely service and produces we get in Hove. Oh my god, only thing we got served was attitude! Barely anything available to buy and truly unpleasant service.

Worthing, Brighton road branch. Ordered a breakfast bun deal with Deliveroo. Waited 15 minutes just for the flour pot to confirm the order, then another half an hour for delivery. When it arrived, bun was tepid / borderline cold, and half of my coffee was missing. £3 or so for a coffee, for only two mouthfuls. Totally unacceptable. Stinks of poor management and lack of general care. I used to be a regular walk in customer but I won’t bother anymore.

both shops in tarring and brighton road are great, the toasted sandwiches and focacia rolls are delicious, vegan muffins a favourite and regularly buy sour dough loaf. I can't buy supermarket bread anymore this is so good. Bit pricey though.

I have been looking forward to the new Flour Pot Bakery opening up near me on Brighton Road Worthing. Unfortunately after 3 visits I will not be going there again. The first loaf I bought was burnt. The second visit was for cake and coffee, the coffee was nice but the cake was dry. The third visit was to buy a farmhouse loaf, but I only had a £10 note. I was told I could only buy if I had the exact money or paid by card. I didn't have a card with me. I offered to wait until someone else paid cash so they would have change, but they said I would still need to have the exact money. That doesn't make sense to me and felt very unhelpful. I'm so disappointed with my shopping experience here. The Laughing Dog over the road is far more friendly and the produce better.

Lovely spot especially if you can get an outside table. Shame the windows have the bars across but can still see the sea and beach. Food and drink is of the cheap and cheerful price point. We had cheese burger and chips, the burger was a very good size and tasty. They have cakes, cookies and other snacks, all far cheaper than other venues locally. The staff are lovely, so polite, chatty, and efficient. It makes a change to have such good service these days. We have been back a few times recently because we enjoyed the food and service. It's not for everyone, but the prices more than reflect that. My only negative would be the opening hours don't necessarily match that advertised online.

We were going to eat in the cafe, but were put off by the number of uncleared tables. The whole place looked a mess! And it wasn't even a busy time! And the customer toilets ( at least in the gents ) were a disgrace. There was no toilet paper in the WCs, the one soap dispenser was empty and one of the two hand dryers wasn't working.

I have visited this cafe twice now with my father in law who is in a wheelchair and frail. Both times the staff have been so welcoming, not minding me doing furniture moving to get dad into a spot where he will be happy. They have also been very understanding about my requests for the way dads drinks are made. We haven't eaten there yet, but the food looks lovely and everyone I have seen has cleared their plates. They also have a children's play area for younger children. I would recommend this cafe to everyone.

Well, three stars is generous as far as the food, decor and ambiance are concerned, but the owner is so gentle and enthusiastic that two stars seems a bit mean. If the internet was working and we had read some of the reviews we wouldn’t have gone. As it is we waded though the chunks of onion that accompanied the popadoms, the salmon that tasted dry and too fishy for its own good, the sag paneer, bizarre for its lack of cheese. Worse of all was the doughy disc of supposed garlic nan so poor. Best thing was the kind prawn delight, hardly a delight but pretty good all the same.

Been refurbished and sold on. When it was there, seemed like a quiet pub only frequented by the sport locals (except for a sunny weekend meal)
