The Five Fields In our lifetime we have enjoyed some amazing dining experiences but I have to say that on saturday our lunch at The Five Fields was simply outstanding. The food created by chefs Taylor , Marguerite , Robert and all the team was exceptional. The service from Sebastian , Sandra and Muriel was first class and sommelier Michaela recommended some fabulous wine that complimented each dish perfectly. Our afternoon started with a delightful welcome before being escorted to our table. Once settled we received a nice surprise as we were poured a complimentary glass of champagne to welcome us back to the restaurant. We then looked at the menu while enjoying some Irish charcuterie. They only have one menu which is a 6 course Tasting Menu with a couple of supplemented dishes that is amazingly priced at just £95. The menu starts with a fabulous selection of snacks before your eyes and palate are in for a real treat because dish after dish that followed left us in amazement. The quality , the skill , the flavour and the presentation of each course just blew us away. If this wasn’t enough we had the honour of being treated to a couple of dishes from the evening menu in the form of the Asparagus and the Lobster. This personally is a restaurant that I would put at the top of your list because they are in every way an absolute credit to the hospitality industry. We have been coming for over eight years and each visit gets better and better. I hope the pics that follow give you the incentive to pick up the phone and make a reservation because believe me you won’t want to miss out. If I was able to give more than 5 Stars I will !!! Been in the UK for 8 years and I can say that it was the best culinary experience that I had. First, the service was amazing, you could tell the level of professionalism and knowledge, special mention to Sebastien, Nono and Murielle for making this experience unforgettable. Second, It was my boyfriend’s birthday, when we arrived he got a little birthday card, the menu was also personalised wishing him a happy birthday and he was allowed to have it as a souvenir at the end of the night. Third, the fruits, vegetables and even the honey come from their farm, making the experience even more meaningful. I highly recommend it! … when is the second Michelin Star? It is well-deserved

Stunning, just stunning. One of the very best tasting menus we’ve ever had and we’ve had many. From start to finish the service is absolutely fantastic. We had a leisurely, almost 4 hour dinner. We didn’t want it to end.

Five Fields is located a short walk from Sloane Square tube station, a small intimate restaurant with a lovely ambience and friendly, knowledgeable staff. The menu was excellent, with my personal favourites being the seared scallop, lobster tail, turbot and rhubarb dessert. They are more than worthy of their Michelin star and I highly recommend this restaurant to any London fine diners.

Everything was excellent in this resturant. I think it's the best Michelin restaurant I have been to so far in London, and we have been to many! The food presentation is like fine art .. taste was spotless. We went for the lunch menu and it's very reasonably priced. Wine was extraordinary. Cod and venison were also amazing.. we will go there again for sure.

My family and I have visited Five Felds on a number of occasions, and have never been disappointed in any way. The service is impeccable and polished without being stuffy. The staff are all extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We had the set course dinner, each dish was a delight; imaginative, creative food that looked and tasted wonderful!

We had a lovely time, but unfortunately I did not enjoy my main course, the venison, which was a shame. All the other courses were very tasty, but the only problem was the courses were tiny and to be honest we were still a bit hungry in the end! Staff was great! Thank you!

What an amazing place. Been there a few times now and I can’t fault it. Being a gourmet person I had the chance to go to many places including Osteria Francescana etc and I believe I have the right to share my own opinion about it In simple words as Tina used to say… Simply the best! The food is fascinating, wine pairing is just perfect, service is amazing, staff are extremely genuine and professional…. What else to say Can’t wait to go there again

Incredible dining experience, expensive but worth every penny!

We had a great experience at the Five Fields. The restaurant is tucked away in a side street near Sloane Square. The dining room is intimate, having a sepia tone lighting. The menu was perfect, having plates of oysters, scallops, lobster, cod and venison. Dishes show a blend of delicate and soft flavors, with stronger and bold sauces, keeping a great balance. Normally plates will also come with an extra on the side to accompany the dish (not necessary in my view, as the dishes are already completely on their own). Nuno, the sommelier, guide us extremely well on the wine pairing experience (they offer 3 options, based on the quality of the wines). Otherwise they have an extensive wine list. Overall, a great and unique experience.

Honestly the best meal we’ve had in 2023 and probably in our past 7 years in London (at least what we remember). The wine menu is extensive and the food was well thought through mixing textures wand flavors. Interesting wine pairing options! Cheese course is a must. My husband is a very picky eater and he enjoyed every course. It was a great way to celebrate his belated birthday and end 2023. Will be coming back with our parents

Went to this cosy, warm restaurant for the tasting menu on a Saturday night. With friends. One of my most enjoyable nights out. Delicious food, more than worth the cost when you consider the 12 staff behind the scenes. Nuno the Sommelier was informative and friendly and we had some interesting wines.

Came to celebrate a triple set of wedding anniversaries. What a memorable occasion. Everyone was wonderful and attentive. The table setting developed like a play with brilliant lighting understated setting which then was embellished with the most wonderful exciting food. Accompanying wines were brilliant. Abbiamo optato per il menu degustazione (tre entrè, tre starter, tre main, pre-dessert e dessert), come da aspettative, tutto buonissimo. Eccezionali in particolare il cod e il fois gras! Ben 4 membri dello staff ci hanno coccolato per tutto il corso della serata. A mio avviso uno dei migliori ristoranti di una città che offre livelli culinari eccezionali

The 3 best courses in the fixed menu were scallops, lobbyer and deer, the latter being the top. The Glir de Pingus red wine was also excellent.

An elegant setting in Chelsea, with just as elegantly presented food. The staff were all friendly and polite and the food and wine pairings interesting and innovative. A very relaxing evening with delicious food- the scallop and the fallow deer were highlights along with the apple dessert and the stunning fortified wine accompaniment.

What a fabulous experience we had. The front of house staff were so attentive and the food was second to none. It was our first visit but will definitely not be our last.

The ambience is excellent. The service is quite polished and attentive. The food is also very, very good. However, this is my third or fourth time there, and the multi-course menu is too much. Whether this is the need to be satisfied for the MIchelin star, I don't know, but I preferred the option of a shorter menu. Certainly for a special occasion, The Five Fields is an excellent choice.

Had a lovely dinner at The Five Fields. We had the tasking menu which was versatile, tasty and well presented. The atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. The staff was attentive. The food was well paced. The dishes themselves were very tasty, though some had somewhat similar aroma to them and weren't so original. The execution was excellent.

Throughout the last seven years that I’ve been writing restaurant reviews there have been times when your simply blown away by the hospitality industry. Our lunch at The Five Fields on saturday was quite simply one of those occasions. This fabulous restaurant treated us to a dining experience that will be remembered for a very long time. I stated about a year ago that this place had become an absolute favourite of ours. This has now been enhanced even more after our latest visit. Our amazing afternoon began as soon as we walked through the door with a lovely welcome from Sandra and Nuno before Miriam escorted us to our table. Once settled we we given a complimentary glass of champagne while we looked at the menu. They only serve a tasting menu for lunch but as usual it all looked very inviting. We began with a delightful selection of snacks consisting of Salmon , Leek Tart , Cheese and Onion Tartelette and a Velvet Crab consommé. At this point sommelier Nuno came over to discuss what wine we’d like to have. He gave us a few options but in the end went for the one he seemed most passionate about. This was a Goliardo Tintos de Mar Rias Baixas from Spain a delightfully light and fruity red wine that complemented the menu perfectly. Before our first course we were in for a fantastic surprise as we headed downstairs to meet Chef Marguerite and the team. It was amazing to have a chat with them and to see them in action. We then headed back to the dining room to begin the afternoon’s festivities. Our first course was the Celeriac with poached oyster and pine. Along with this came a little surprise of a celeriac salad. We then moved on to the Carrot with a seared and dried scallop. This came with a scallop tartare along with a carrot and scallop roe escabeche. Onto the next next course which was a fantastic touch from the team as Marguerite sent us up an extra dish of Lobster with beetroot and rose that was absolutely stunning and accompanied with a lobster claw and green herbs side dish. A big hug from us was sent back to the kitchen. We then moved on to the Dover Sole confit with courgette which was heaven on a plate. Before moving to the main course there was another amazing surprise from the kitchen as they presented us with the Grouse with offal and girolles that simply left us on cloud nine. Now we could move to the main course and another fabulous dish. This was the short loin of Lamb with red peppers and rosemary. Next to come was a delightful and refreshing palate cleanser of Plum preserved plum sorbet with seaweed. Before our dessert it was good to see Michaela again who has returned to the restaurant as a sommelier. She asked if we’d like a sweet wine to pair with the Apple Tart with camomile and creme fraiche. She recommended a 2014 Greek Vinsanto from the Estate Argyros in Santorini with its light raisin notes paired amazingly with the apple. We finished with a coffee and petit fours to bring to an end a most amazing dining experience. The food was simply exceptional , the service was impeccable as always and the wine pairings were amazing. I really can’t recommend a visit to The Five Fields highly enough because if you haven’t been you are really missing out. This quite simply was hospitality at its finest and I cannot wait to walk back through their doors again. Thank You to Marguerite , Meg , Danny and Luca in the kitchen , Sandra and Miriam for their excellent friendly service and to Nuno and Michaela for fabulous wine pairings. It way too pricey in our eyes for the quality of the food we got. The dishes were nicely served, but there was no research in terms of taste and flavors. We have been in many start restaurants and this was by far the most basic kitchen we have tasted. So very poor price quality ratio.

We visited The Five Fields while in London for our anniversary and had the prix fixe chef's tasting and the prestige wine paring. I highly recommend this as the wines were all outstanding and were perfectly matched to each deliciously inventive course. Several courses turned out to be two or three different small bites within each course. Everything we ate was wonderful and the attentive but unhurried service and attention to detail were top notch...including a takeaway menu to commemorate our anniversary. Amazing!

Exceptional cooking - imaginative combinations faultlessly executed with superb ingredients - definitely had a 2-3mich star feel- the service was attentive but not intrusive and the tables are nicely separated (which is v rare these days) -

First time here, loved it and will definitely visit again. The lunch tasting menu is so delicate, prepared and presented with finesse and precision, it was a joy. Not an exercise in bloat as with so many other tasting menus.

The first three or four items are very good until the few main things served. They are nice but not as exceptionally nice as the beginning items. And am I the only one who is charged $67 as %20vat on top of the displayed price? Usually the restaurants in London have the vat tax included in the displayed price. This is a very unpleasant surprise plus the 15% service charge.

Excellent food. The original ingredients are given great importance and many dishes will allow the ingredient to be seen in their original forms. Flavours were very pleasant and many dishes were very memorable, such as the carrot and scallop dish and wild strawberry dessert. The dining room was slightly too dark for my preference but the service was pretty good. This is another restaurant that seems to have been underrated by Michelin - hopefully a second star will arrive soon……

Excellent restaurant. Food was fantastic- and the service is first class. Really nice touch personalising the menu for a special occasion. Restaurant seats about 40 covers (maybe less) so it’s intimate.

Everything was great. Food tasted amazing especially everything leading up to the main course. The main course was mediocre. Overall the amount of food was too little. Still left hungry afterwards. Apart from that the staff, service, taste were all great. Well deserved Michelin star.

Like going to a museum where you eat the art, and the art is fantastic. We did the wine paired tasting menu and the variations of the same basic ingredients for each session was so fascinating. Happy to have had the most serendipitous connection that led me to this restaurant. I owe it to the head chef’s relative who tipped off to this Michelin starred restaurant. If your visiting London for the first or one hundredth time, a dinner at Five Fields is something you will never forget.

Came here on Saturday for our anniversary. Restaurant is lovely atmosphere is great, not too loud not too quiet and the waitresses and waiters were brilliant. Definitely one of the best I’ve ever been to and I have to say the presentation of the dishes was probably the best I’ve ever seen. Also the restaurant made us a copy of the menu to take home as a memento of our anniversary this was a lovely touch made it feel very personal and have never had a restaurant do this before so thank you very much!! We will try to make it back some day. Highly highly recommend if your into fine dining

I have set as one of my life-goals to introduce my nephew to the finer things in life. The project is going well, and he has already progressed to taking his lovely wife to proper restaurants around Europe, to sample tasting menus. But even if I could step back and say my work is done, I won’t. At least, I won’t while The Five Fields is open! The third trip for Mrs Reviewer and I. Our 25th anniversary - and the nephew’s first. Any other excuses needed? No. I mean, wow. No words work to describe the experience. Just go there. It’s the best.
