Great little boozer. Landlord and staff are friendly and helpful as are the locals. This place is a little gem, the kind of which you don't see much of these days. Cheers to the Fishguard Arms. Long may she prosper!

We had a drink here on evening while staying locally. It’s a great locals pub, friendly welcome. Ales are served from the cask which is always good. Not sure if food is served

Pub architecture off the scale. Beer good but limited. Friendly welcome. Really worth a visit. Not spoilt by a brewery. I could live in this pub.

How many pubs can you go into, especially on your own, and be welcomed in a warm, human way? In this day and age of smartphones and technology, how refreshing it is to be somewhere where there is a sense that it is people who matter, and you do not feel that it is all impersonal. This is how pubs should be, but often aren't. What is more to the point in a pub (apart from the beer 😏) than human warmth? 😁

Needed a drink after walking up a very steep hill from Fishguard bay. Had Bass in a cask which was very welcome. Interesting wooden panelling with changing prices of beers stencilled on the ceiling.

What a lovely little pub, very warm and friendly, the landlord Ian was most accommodating and served the best glass of iced water alongside my pink gin, will definitely be visiting again and hope I have as warm a welcome as I did the last time

The Fishguard Arms may be tiny but it is a gem of a pub. Serving real ale, your usual beers, etc and the best gin bar! The open fire is always a treat to sit in front of to talk and listen to the extremely friendly locals’. The banter you hear in here is priceless! This place is well worth a visit-do not miss out!

The Fishguard Arms is a tiny little pub, a bit like a pub you imagine from Dickens..but it serves the best real ale and other drinks in an unpretentious environment..with a roaring log fire, very friendly locals and a drinking experience from another time...do not miss the experience, as it will be a unique experience for you in the up and coming rejuvenation of sleepy Fishguard

A lovely, traditional pub. Tables are close together which makes for friendly, convivial banter between locals and tourists. A relaxing and enjoyable evening.

We loved this place. No frills whatsoever, just cheerful hosts in a good old fashioned pub atmosphere. No food other than crisps etc and limited availability of beers but the regulars, contrary to an earlier review, were friendly and welcoming.

Popped in for a few pints with my wife. Looks like a very ‘local’ pub from the outside, but very glad we went in. It’s a cosy little pub. Don’t expect anything fancy, but be sure to enjoy a fantastic pint of Bass straight from the barrel. It’s the only pub I’ve ever been in to feature a working AGA in the back room. Even though we were only visiting, the barman gave us complimentary snacks and a warm welcome. When we eventually dragged ourselves away, we were wished goodbye by the barman and the friendly locals. Well worth a visit.

Called in a few times during a week break in Fishguard for the New Year, very warm (literally!) and friendly pub right out of a Dylan Thomas poem. Full of local characters with Bass from the barrel, only problem for our friends was the cider from cans!

If you are passing through Fishguard make sure you pop your head in this quaint pub, super friendly and very quirky! Landlord is lovely and his staff have a great sense of humour. We loved their banter and our husky was right at home sitting with the locals.

This is a pub not a restaurant please note. A great pub, beer is very good Bass , a lovely welcome from landlord and a fire that is so cozy. The ambiance is good as well , in a time warp but that's really terrific

I always pop into the Fishguard Arms when I visit. The locals are inviting, the beer is always good and the fire is usually lit. A great pub.

an amusing few hours in a pub I shall only visit once! they don't seem to serve tomato juice; the ice ran out at about 6.30pm; the customers are cliquey and rude to those they don't know; some were drunk by 6pm; one was aggressive; there is no food on offer; the barman was offhand and rude; the final straw was when a drunk tart started arguing with her boyfriend. I left, never to return.

If you want to go back in time and see what a boozer was like years ago this is the place. It's an fantastic time warp with locals taking the Micky out of each other memorabilia all over the place Bass out of the barrel and proper pub food ie crisps and nuts. Don't be put off by the outside go in and enjoy as pubs like this are far and few between.

This place is the real old school tiny pub. Awards for historical interior. Cliff Richard and the Monkees. Real ale (Bass) & worn floors. A working fireplace. Regulars who welcome you and show friendly curiosity. Although one guy maintained music hasn't been the same once there was "punk rock." Mind you, if the effects of daily drinking on people put you off, do not attend. And don't come looking for food.

Fantastic tiny pub, only two small rooms, and lost in time! Always some locals and regulars around, very friendly landlord, and on cold days a nice welcoming woodfire burning in the fireplace in the front room. Real ales and all sorts of other drinks.

This place is a home away from home for me. Tiny pub, open fires are lit when it's cold, Bass bitter straight from the barrel and kept brilliantly, The decor is odd and quirky but I'd beg it not to be changed, if you want to see what the beers cost in the late 60's and 70's look on the ceiling, that's where the price list is!Quirky, odd, not to everyone's taste but I hope it is to yours, at least give it a visit and join in, you will be made to feel welcomeFamilies are welcome, as are easy going dogs for walkers

Characterful and full of characters offering a warm welcome, the Fishguard Arms is a local treasure. A small traditional two room pub with real ale served directly from the barrel from behind the bar it would be my local if I lived nearby.
