A suggestion on your service level. Most of your customers today were pensioners, who found it difficult to get in and out of the bench seating. To save them trouble why don't you supply them with cutlery wrapped up in a serviette when serving the food. My husband had a soup today with no spoon supplied! Even though there is a notice saying to collect your own cutlery and condiments,it comes over as quite rude and unhelpful to be told you have to get your own. The condiments could be placed in small pots on the tables, as most cafe's do. Also please could you tell your serving staff to be a bit more obliging. You need to improve on your service level to keep up your award winning status.

I ordered a dressed crab salad. When it arrived the "dressed crab" was a crab shell with a couple of spoons of white crab meat and some sauce down the middle. A dressed crab has brown & white meat. I enjoy the brown meat and was extremely disappointed. Having asked the server about it, the answer from the kitchen was "That is how they came.....". The salads and potatoes were as ever lovely. Very overpriced for a bit of white crab meat.

Great selection of specials dishes, enjoyed the smoked mackeral pate and cheese and leek tart, could have chosen several other dishes all looked appealing. Particularly good coffee, very good service by all staff both speedy and friendly, great views from the seating area. Experience only slightly let down by the below standard carrot tray bake which was visibly burnt and so dry it crumbled, and shouldn't really have been on sale. I only assume that was a blip. Everything else was fab. Nevertheless we certainly would return.

Been visiting for many years now but unfortunately and sadly this place seems to have slipped slightly. I would like to see a bit more choice on the menu and have a speedier service, there wasn’t many people there when we visited but we still had to wait 50 minutes for a cheese baguette. Sadly I don’t think it is worth the journey to this restaurant for us anymore. This isn’t the review I was hoping to give as we have always enjoyed our visits here.

This award-winning tearoom is situated in a beautiful location alongside the Cleddau river midway between Neyland and Landshipping. The place offers delicious snacks, small plates and larger meals accompanied by hot and cold drinks and a yummy selection of freshly baked cakes and tasty desserts, all served both inside and out depending on the weather. Highly recommended are the Quayside's fresh crab sandwiches and crab salad. They also have well-filled baguettes and "blackboard specials" which change every day. Don’t know if they were just having a bad day but it seemed very unorganised. Staff brought over 2 different meals which weren’t for us, the food was a 30 minute wait even though it wasn’t that busy. I ordered a brie, bacon and cranberry panini but ended up with bacon and Stilton (I really don’t like Stilton but it wasn’t even worth having to wait another half an hour so I swapped with my partner who managed to eat half then he left the rest). Overall it just seemed like the staff didn’t have a clue what they were doing.

We visited this little gem after a lovely long walk. We chose to sit in as the weather was hit and miss and what a charming little place it was and very attentive staff. There were three of us in our party we chose to eat the ham and cheese panini, which was fully loaded, the steak, onion and mushroom baguette which was totally amazing, both of these were served with homemade coleslaw, beautiful side salad and cous cous, also the baguette was served with fresh new potatoes. The other member of our party ordered the ploughman’s which was huge and a great variety of cheese and the best chutney ever. We had to buy a jar of the chutney it was so good. The cakes looked outstanding and such huge pieces we had to have a slice of chocolate sponge to take home and may I say that was scrummy. This place is clean, excellent food and exceptional quality, great staff and great prices. Keep up the good work 5 stars needed for this little gem of a place.

So let me start by saying I have been coming here for years. I have always enjoyed the food and everything, however... Visited yesterday and it's really for me no longer the place it use to be, very upmarket looking now which is nice if that's what your looking for, and a huge menu. For me though I used to like it when it was a smaller place with not so many people, the staff actually were more polite and didn't look rushed and had time for you, I'm sure that the chef owner doesn't mind it being so busy as it will be bringing in a great profit but just remember that customer service should always be on key. The food, I've always had the crab sandwich which is still amazing and the price hasn't changed in all the years. I've had other things too and they have always been amazing. So I'm not being negative it is a brilliant place I just think that the staff need to have a little more time to serve and be pleasant to customers. Well done on still being a place I come to after 10 years Edited after the owner replied - I really was not being negative and I have visited in the week several times in the past, however as I have visited from the Midlands this weekend. Your staff were not being rude, they didn't have time for themselves let alone customers. It's great that your business is doing well and I hope it continues to be this way for you. 😀

Lunch was excellent lovely fresh resourced foods which great choice of menu. Excellent customer service. Eat inside or out under large umbrellas. Dogs allowed inside. Surroundings very peaceful and relaxing looking over the estuary ample free parking. Such a find. There is a separate posh caravan which sells ice creams and hot/cold drinks if you don't to enter the cafe. Prices reasonable, but the posh fancy ice creams from the van is a tad experience the cones are fine. An ideal place to go for good food, lovely surroundings to watch the boats and wildlife and if feeling energetic there is a fantastic NT walk along the estuary through the Oak woodland, via the boatyard. Just have to check the tide times before going as walk transfers onto the estuary down wooden steps.
