Great friendly local pub. Great food offering and fine selection of drinks. Worth a visit if you are passing or planning a night out at the local

There was 8 of us, we was made very welcome by all the staff. The food was excellent quality. A lovely garden to sit in. In the bar lots of screens to watch sport. We will definitely be back.

Good location easy to get too however as I need to avoid dairy (milk) there was a distinct lack of options also of anyone is vegan wouldn't recommend going as you don't have any options

The Festival was Dad's local when he could get about and liked to take people for lunch there so it was an obvious choice for his wake. Richard was really helpful on the phone and then by text. Choosing and booking took minutes and we felt reassured by his professional manner. The venue on the day was spacious and clean (with daughter-approved baby facilities) and the buffet looked great (half the battle). A dozen more people arrived than we thought would but the food outlasted the guests. We knew it wouldn't be a problem because the chef was laying out the food and we could have just asked for more. Everyone commented on the food and Richard manned the bar even though he's clearly a busy man. Thanks so much to Richard and the team. You did a great job and the price was very, very reasonable. You have the thanks of all our family.

I can't praise this venue highly enough at lunchtime onwards yesterday for their consideration and provision of a wonderful buffet following my husband's funeral. The ambiance was just right with the music genre requested but low enough to enable conversations. The buffet was brilliant, everything very fresh and tasty, and plentiful. Drinks service was great too, nothing too much trouble for the considerate and caring staff. Would highly recommend for any family celebration. Thank you all so much.xx

We pre-booked a late Friday afternoon meal after visiting Coventry Aeroplane Club, the tables were all spaced out, all the staff wore facemasks. The staff were very friendly. The mixed grill was lovely, and the hot choc fudge with ice cream made an excellent desert. On our next visit to the Aeroplane club we will pre-booked The Festival again.

Came here to get a few drinks and something to eat as part of the Eat our to Help scheme. Nice to be in a busy place after so long. The pub is set up for it with table service and hand sanitiser available. The owner was very friendly, as were the waiting staff. Food took a long time but as I have already said, things are a bit different now and it was nice to soak up any king of atmosphere, the waitress kept me topped up with drinks. Food was lovely and I will use this place more regularly than I used to.

I have just come back from a Lunch time meal with my colleagues from work as I am Retiring next week and just want to say how organized they were with our order. as there were 16 of us we sent our order in on email and names of who ordered what meal, when we arrived and sat down the meals were brought out to that person so no hiccups at all.Staff were all very friendly and food was lovely. We will certainly be going back again.

sharing dinner with 12 persons all friends together we book table once a month on friday to have catch up.. good menu excellent food nicely presented and hot ..very good service..clean and tidy place...staff very welcoming and friendly good value for money highly recommend for a meal give it a try guarantee you will return for more meals

A great place for a quick meal to save cooking, as the food is very good and service nice and quick. The pub is a bit tired though and not perhaps somewhere you would want to sit all night. It has a nice beer garden.

Haven’t been here for a bit and wondered down for an easy Sunday lunch. Pleasant atmosphere as usual and very full dinner plates. Great Sunday roast.

I found The Festival when searching for a place to eat close to my hotel. Great service from all of the staff, the food is delicious and if I ever spent anymore time in Coventry I'd definitely return!

I went here last night as our usual pubs kitchen closed early! I had been here before and the food was ok! But last night had the mixed grill £9.95 and I have got to say it was really good, also the service was with a smile

Good varied menu, at several different price range to suit an individuals pocket. Good beer and wine selection. Facilities clean and adequate.

Haven’t been here for a while, for whatever reason, but decided on a cold Sunday to come for lunch. Large selection of people and really friendly staff making sure that everything is ok. Great meal, saving on us cooking and washing up at a great price.

We were visiting our daughter and decided to go out for lunch and the Festival was just around the corner. The decor is a bit dated but the welcome was good. When we visited they had 3 excellent real ales on tap as well as the normal regulars. The food was excellent and good value. I had a Festival Burger (burger plus cheese and bacon at £5.90 including excellent crispy chips. A plus for me was the spotlessly clean real wood table top but we were disappointed to find a lunchtime special menu on a nearby table (but not ours) offering a choice of 9 different meals each for £4.95.

Mi compañero y yo entramos en el festival, buscando un nuevo local recientemente se muda a cheylesmore después. Tan pronto como llegamos nos hicieron sentir como uno de los asiduos, no había ninguno de la incómoda miradas te normalmente de ser un "extraño".

Lovely family atmosphere, great pub grub, good beer, friendly service and staff. Might have to make this our new local.

After realising how much we enjoyed our Sunday dinner here, we returned, this time choosing the meal and pudding option. Lovely meal, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Portions are enormous.

My partner and I, with friend had food here on Saturday (21.04.18) and was not disappointed.

We have loved invthe area for nearly 20 years and have never ventured here. I came once with my mum and enjoyed it but randomly we decided to check out Sunday lunch. It's only a 20 minute walk and the pub was busy with lunchtime people but easy enough to get a seat. The Sunday lunch ir in the normal menu so there are other options. There is only beef and pork roasts, no chicken.

Visited recently and had a burger which was good value and very tasty. Son had the hunters chicken which was also very nice but a little overpriced for the size of the portion. Service was good and prompt. There was a bit of a step into the lounge which was a little bit of hassle for an electric wheelchair but was not impossible to get up and down.

Had a lovely family meal here, catered for 15 of us too! We had a range of dishes and everyone enjoyed their meals. Reasonably priced too! Would come here again if passing through! Highly recommended for a nice meal!

Went for a meal with my son and friend. I had cottage pie with chips and peas. Was so nice and tasty, lovely homemade chips, my son had a huntsman chicken burger with chips, which he was really nice. Will be going again.

Home-cooked, well-cooked and tasty food! Been here a few times now and never had a bad meal. Food comes hot and in generous sized portions. A good choice of venue for a pub lunch!

Tuve 8 onzas de bistec y mi esposa los cazadores de pollo. La carne estaba muy magras, no de residuos, que siempre es una buena cosa. A mi esposa le encantó el pollo. Nos gustaría volver a comer. El único inconveniente era alto costo de bebidas. £3. 50 Por Greene King IPA en un pub es muy queridos. En el Maudsley al otro lado de la ciudad está a sólo 2 libras. 15. Por suerte los precios de la comida son muy bajos para compensar.

Fuimos hasta alli pese a ser un lugar perdido un barucho de carretera y al llegar la puerta estaba cerrada con llave abrieron desde dentro y nos dijeron que no habia nada para comer que la cocina estaba cerrada aunque era temprano

What I love about the festival is the homely atmosphere , excellant food ,good service.also the fact that you do not always need to book so it's lovely that you can walk In without any fuss and have a lovely meal.We visit here quite a lot for our Sunday lunch ,two courses for £10.50 , can't beat it absolutely love the beef Sunday dinner and the apple pie and custard .If fact I am off to book a table for Sunday now !

Had dinner and it was very well priced and very nice indeed. I for one love the decor as it takes me back to the 80's and is full of character.

Often go here for lunch,its a lovely place,great customer service,and food is excellent. I would defiantly recommended people to go.

This is a local friendly pub with a reasonable food menu, quick friendly service and some good offers to make this a Pub you should take the time to visit and eat at with a decent ale. As well as the menu there are daily offers on a board by the bar so a good selection of dishes that should be able to suit most tastes. Three drinks and three main meals for £33 means I shall definitely be back. We were lucky that It Was a really hot evening, which meant we were able to eat in the garden and have a relaxing meal together. See you again soon!

Popped in for a pint and I must say the beer is exceptional Dave the cellar man does an exceptional job of looking after the real ales. It's so hard to find a decent pint in Coventry but you certainly get one here ! Well done keep it

We popped in as a family for a quick lunch. Service was friendly, atmosphere relaxed. Lovely pub garden with toys and bouncy castle for the kids. Food itself was delicious. Definitely hoping to make several return visits.

We went to the festival pub Sunday 29th may as a party of 7 we 4 of us had the beef roast which was melt in the mouth delicious everything was cooked perfectly the others had the festival burgers which they said was very tasty the service was excellent as always and we would all go back on a sunday again a great traditional pub

Friendly pub off the A45 in south Coventry. Good tasty food at reasonable prices and good selection of drinks. Huge car park and is accessible by Fenside bus from town.

This is a very traditional pub. Looks a bit dated etcWe took a punt and decided to eat before stopping for the pub quiz and we were all very pleasantly surprised.The food is quite reasonable and of a decent quality with healthy portion sizes.Overall a very good experience

Within walking distance from our home so Dad can have a couple or more beers. The staff make the place for me always polite helpful & up for a laugh. We often go for the rump steak meal for two & a bottle of decent Merlot for 20 quid absolute bargainDecor in the lounge bar is pretty grim but drink enough & you won't really notice.

I went for a drink here and was quite surprised at how much improved it was. The beers were very good but on the expensive side to say the least but non the less it was a good night and the band enjoyed their night.

We went here on the 4th of July 4adults 2children from the moment we arrived you were made to feel welcome the service we got was brilliant and the menu was great the food arrived hot and perfectly cooked the traditional Ales to choose from are a good range and they have a well stocked bar we were there a good 4.5 hours we couldn't get a taxi as there was the music festival going on so the landlord got one of the bar staff to bring us home that went above and beyond any sevice we are returning very soon a top pub service and staff well done

Stopped on a Wednesday for a pint after a long cycle ride. Great atmosphere inside landlord was very friendly and a good tasting pint. Price was quite high but I'd ran out of water at the time so it went Down just fine.

I have been to the festival many times as it is on my door step, the food each time I have been has been hot, cooked to how I like it and the service has been brilliant. Have never had to wait too long at the bar for a drink and will always get spoken to politely. Cannot fault the place lovely family run business (from what I gather) would recommend for a good value for money and good tasting food

Had family meal here a few times. Food is average. Some items come out greasy. Place needs an uplift, very dowdy looking and old n worn.

excellent. There were about 60 people in total and the service was perfect. All the food came out well presented and hot and we couldn't fault it at all. Bar service was excellent too with no onehaving to wait too long at all. Good value for money which is a rarity in so many pubs. Atmosphere was very good and all the staff were very pleasant. Would most definitely recommend to others.

Having eaten here a few times, I can say that the food is generally pretty good but I don't think the decor has been looked at since the late 80's! But then this is reflected in the prices which are very reasonable. Very friendly staff and I can recommend the mixed grill!

I have visited this pub many a time and each time I love it! I cannot say that I have tried a variety of the food there, as each time I select the chicken fajitas because they taste amazing! All bar staff are friendly, and the specials have been tried and tested by staff- I find the pudding specials particularly delightful! Overall, I highly recommend this place.

What a warm and welcoming friendly pub, the food was excellent, I had the mega mixed grill was cooked perfect, my wife had lasagne, lovely, sister in law had gammon, again lovely, would certainly go again & recommend to friends

Plenty of choice, always hot, nicely presented. Could do with bigger tables, but on the whole, wonderful service and food.

My husband and I decided to try this public house out for Sunday Dinner, this place is a family friendly pub. Order food from the bar which is easy to do, Sunday Dinner nice. This public house has got a separate bar area which is ideal after your meal where you can move to from the lounge. Will be back again in the week to try something else off the menu. High chairs available.
