Lovely drop of food, nice settings. Will be returning, again and again. No complaints whatsoever. Looking forward to coming back.

Haven’t been here for over 16 months , and will not be going back , food portions terrible , my friend had a rib eye steak , it was 6 tiny cubes of meat on a skewer , 6 chips all for £26 , obviously things have been tough but giving small portions to save money will only turn people away , shame, it used to be lovely , and now so expensive , will not be going back, and not one mask in sight worn by the staff .

Another fantastic Christmas night out with friends. A warm welcome as ever from Pano and great service from Alex all evening at our table. Amazing cocktails, food and wonderful atmosphere. Hope to see you all again soon and definitely for next Christmas 🎄 ❤

Came here with some of my friends for a catch up on a Saturday evening. Quick and efficient service despite being busy, yummy food and we had a lovely time upstairs in the champagne bar afterwards. Would recommend.

Food lovely!! Dj was amazing, felt like the staff wanted to get us out, considering it was Christmas there was no atmosphere at all !!

Definitely a TOWIE crowd. Food was okay, a bit bland, though the calamari starter was very good, as was the baklava. Our friends had meat dishes and they weren’t impressed. My veggie friend enjoyed the halloumi main course. Service was average to poor. Our waitress got the drinks order partly wrong - she didn’t know what she was delivering and when I was handed my “gin & tonic” she asked me if it was lemonade or water - it was lemonade. My friend’s mixed drink was so poorly made we questioned whether the drink was correct. The barman assured us it was since he made it himself. My personal thought was, well it’s clear you don’t know how to make a drink! A great pity our visit wasn’t a positive one as I’ve been wanting to try this Resto for a while now. Sadly won’t be returning. They clearly think more of their imagine than providing quality.

A group of five booked a lunch as a farewell to a colleague. Two of us had been before so we knew what to expect. It was lovely to see the other three's reaction to the food, service and ambience. Individual needs were catered for "can I have extra salad instead of rice" etc. Definitely worth a return visit.

We booked the restaurant for a Friday evening dinner, 7 girls for birthday celebration. On arrival we went upstairs to the bar for a cocktail before our table, excellent cocktail menu on offer. We then got seated in our booth table downstairs which although the seats were comfortable and great, feels abit cut off from the restaurant and away from any atmosphere. We had to ask the waiters for the drinks and wine menu on numerous occasions, as they kept taking it away, and whenever you asked to see it again you’d be asking numerous times for it. Food was good although I don’t think was anything f majorly special, we ordered the helim mac and cheese as a side for our main course which had a single piece of halloumi on it, smaller than an inch so I’m not sure how this passes as a halloumi dish. Overall it was an okay visit, but not being from the area I definitely wouldn’t rush back

A great afternoon lunch, great service and food. Catered to allergies with an adjusted menu rather than the normal plastic tick book. We will definitely be back!!

Surprised my wife with an evening meal at the Fat Turk Brentwood. Received a welcoming service and great food! Cocktails were amazing and was nice to relax with a few drinks in the champagne lounge after our dinner!

Having been here before with friends socially I bought my team here for lunch.We were welcomed and the service from the staff was attentive, prompt and friendly.We chose from the set lunch menu and wow, good selection of food, portions sizes were huge and the taste was amazing. I actually couldn’t believe how reasonable the set lunch menu prices were compared to what we received! Would definitely recommend.

Recently came here for a girls night dinner. Waiter was really nice and really helpful especially as one of us had a dairy allergy. Food was delicious and service was good and reasonably priced too! Definitely would recommend.

The restaurant delivered on so many fronts. Parking was easy and the restaurant decor is luxurious and well maintained. Our waiter was friendly, unobtrusive but very helpful. Service was prompt and the food was excellent. I cannot fault any aspectWe had a great evening and would not hesitate to return.

Me and my partner went for a meal for our Anniversary and it didn’t disappoint. Our starters, mains and drinks were all lovely, we really did have a fab evening. Would definitely recommend :)

We had dinner here for my nephews birthday after carting. We all agreed the food was amazing, service was superb and the place itself is beautifully presented. Couldn't fault it. Some of the party have lived in the Middle East for years and felt the food was super, authentic and well presented. Generous portions, super tasty. Well done guys and thanks for a lovely time.

Had a fabulous lunch with my friend this past weekend at The Fat Turk. First and definitely not my last visit! Chicken sis and helim starters were immaculate and the service was impeccable. Looking forward to visiting for an evening get together next time...also looking forward to experiencing the champagne bar. All in all a great place, amazing food and beautiful decor. This was my second time at The Fat Turk and it didn't disappoint!We had a lovely meal and enjoyed all 3 courses. My girls and I shared a variety of starters, the hallim chips are to die for so tasty (we ordered 3 portions!) We all had shish mains which were delicious and I highly recommend the triple cooked chips. We shared the cheesecake and brownie for dessert which we're amazing.We of course tried an array of cocktails, my fav being the strawberry daiquiri.Service was great, it was a lovely atmosphere and we enjoyed drinks at our table after the meal finished until late.

Visited Fat Turk on Saturday for the first time with my cousins and the service was fantastic, very friendly and the food and drinks were amazing! Went upstairs after the meal to continue the drinks and listen to the DJ just wish there was a dance floor but had a great night and will definitely be back again.

We celebrated my daughters birthday here on Friday and the staff were so accommodating. We were given the best table, which just made it more special.Cocktails were delicious as was the starters, meatballs and calamari. Mains were just as good - we all had various shish served with salad, rice and the steak with mushrooms and chips.We will definitely return.Thank you all!

I went to The Fat Turk for the fist time with my family. Staff were very welcoming and very friendly nothing was too much trouble. Food was amazing, definitely on my list to visit again.

We recently hosted a baby shower at the fat turk for my sisters baby shower, they were extremely accommodating, gave us the room an hour earlier than opening to decorate how we wish. We had our own bar staff in our own bar for the duration, food was fab. We got through it quick so had to ask for my wraps but that was no problem! All in all a great day

Very attentive service, excellent atmosphere even though we visited midweek. The decor is sumptuous and the low lighting enhances mood.

5 of us went here on a Friday night food was great as was the service. The bar upstairs is a great area to have a drink we went up there before and after meal they have a DJ playing from 8pm.

Food is always delicious and fresh. We went for my daughter’s 21st and had a lovely table. The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Never disappointed. We will be back soon 😋🥂

Booked here for a birthday treat as we had done the same for our daughters 21st and had really enjoyed the experience. This visit didn't disappoint. We had the Sunday buffet, which is really good value for money as it also includes a drink per person. The sea bream went down particularly well with 2 of the guests as it was a good sized portion of fish and cooked beautifully. Staff really friendly but professional. Is a really good venue for a special occasion

I highly recommend this restaurant the food and the staff are both five-star. I come here regularly with friends and often my 12-year-old son. Always very accommodating. Also the cocktails are amazing! See you soon

Visited last night for an anniversary meal - the food tasted good but sadly the portions were small. £20 for a lamb shish that had only 6 small bits of lamb was disappointing. The Kofte wasn’t big either and the salad portion were disappointing also. On a more positive note, the Prosecco did taste great. My girlfriend was very very satisfied with that. As well as the rice with the meal being tasty also. Overall the service was okay and the food was way over priced. The portions were unsubstantial and even if the food was cheaper, they would still be too small. I shouldn’t compare but I would much rather go to Pasha in Billericay. Cheaper and bigger portions with equal taste with great atmosphere. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you eat a regular sized diet / eat slightly more than the usual person. If you can bare small portions and high prices, then this place might be for you.

First time visit and we received a really warm welcome. Service was friendly but remained professional.Food was excellent, freshly prepared and presented really well. Starter and main left us both full and squeezing in a delicious coffee was a struggle.Menu is not huge so not one to visit every week but definitely one for occasions.

We were looking to eat at 4.30 in the afternoon .Wonderful food,beautifully presented.Friendly staff.I had lamb cooked on a skewer which was lovely.The dessert of pastry stuffed with pistachio nuts served with ice cream and turkish delight was superb.Highly recommended both for the food and the service.

We had a meal with my daughters, we ordered lamb shis , when it arrived one of the meals the meat was raw I called the waiter and they cooked it some more! For what they charge I felt they should have cooked a fresh lot especially considering you only get about 5 bits of meat , we had about 3 different waiters serving us which I wasn’t happy about , I had to call the waiter to attend to us as they weren’t very attentive, bit of a shambles really for such an expensive restaurant, portions very small , definitely won’t be returning or recommending to anyone.

Visited the Fat Turk on our weekend away in Essex. Food was UNREAL! Then we headed to the champagne bar and had amazing cocktails by Ryan who’s service was the best. Charlotte was also great helping us at recommending places to go with us not being local. Highly recommend when in Essex!

I have always wanted to try the fat Turk. I have visited many different Turkish restaurants and I always want to know which is the best of the best! The staff were extremely helpful right from the start as we were running late for our booking. However when we got there the waiter was a little impatient which made me feel uncomfortable. We understood they needed our table back and we didn’t stay in the restaurant over our time. The food was amazing I had swordfish shish, and my gosh it was amazing fish! However my most favourite part of the restaurant experience was the cocktail bar upstairs and that’s pretty much where we spent most of our time! I loved the vibe up there and they had a DJ playing old r&b tunes which I loved! It’s a perfect place for a date night or a girlie night! Would recommend!

Visited with our 4 older teens tonight. Food was excellent and the service faultless. No issues with staff shortages or shoddy service here it appears, the waiters were very attentive, efficient and the service spot on. For all the years we have visited the Fat Turk, the food was probably better than ever... between the 6 of us we had chicken, kofta and prawn shish and a fat turk burger. The bread & dips and kalamari are super tasty and baklava for dessert is just amazing. Cocktails and mocktails all terrific too and the Efez cold and plentiful. Really impressed and definitely one of the best restaurants in Brentwood at the moment.

The food was absolutely fantastic and so was the service, however the portion sizes of the grills were small. Even though the grills come with salad and rice you only get 5 pieces (basically 1 skewer). I would have definetly expected more considering the price.

One of the best Turkish food we had in london. We enjoyed the amazing and authentic Turkish dishes against the backdrop of the very talented live musician downstairs. The staff were very attentive and very nice (we had Senite) and it was overall a memorable experience! We highly recommend it and we will be coming back again! M

We were fortunate enough to get a table at the last minute and was definitely not disappointed by the food - it was lovely. Although nothing special from other high end Turkish restaurants, the lamb was cooked to perfection. However, when it came to paying for the bill we noticed that we had been charged £28 for two glasses of Whispering Angel Rose. The bill stated we had two different sizes and if we did then that was their mistake as I definitely asked for small each time. Upon leaving and checking the wine list, there is no mention of this wine but even their fine wines or some champagnes are. It that expensive. As a result, I wouldn’t be in a hurry to return to this place.

Back to our face restaurant!After missing this place for the last year our Saturday booking did not disappoint. There’s a few new dishes added to the menu and a new selection of drinks also. We had a table good six right by the open door terrace and it was the perfect spot.Staff were attentive and friendly, all social distancing measures were followed. We cannot wait to return again soon x

Rediculous prices, I’d understand if the food was amazing but it wasn’t. We asked to see a drinks menu but got told we can’t, only a wine list! Waiter asked if we wanted flavoured gin instead of normal, however we didn’t realise till we got the bill it was £8! This wasn’t including the tonic! We ordered the vege sticks, and it was literally two bits of carrot and two cucumber and two celery, £4! Dips were £10! Asked for water and they bought it a big bottle, didn’t ask if we wanted tap water. The food was average wasnt worth £20 for a meal, the rice wasn’t rice is was like dried couscous, will not return as it wasn’t worth the money we paid and we felt like we was ripped off.

Food/service was usual high standard however when using the gents bathroom at the end of our meal there was no soap and then there was no sanitising gel to use which I think is very poor and raises the question if they are not providing soap/doing toilet checks at the front of house for customers what is the back of house like is there soap for the waiting staff/ chefs etc.....

On a working trip to Essex,,, 8 of us booked here for food ,,, although at two separate tables we were all seated close by,, outside heaters took the evening chill off,,, service was spot on, nothing was too much trouble and the food was exceptional,,, stop reading this and go book it,, you won’t be disappointed.

Don’t bother going until things reopen because they’ll place you on a bench in the car park. No heaters, no shelter from the elements, car fumes from the street at the side, and other restaurant customers looking down on you from the covered heated terrace if they got there super early (or know someone who knows someone). Totally bizarre that they think they can offer the same experience and charge the same prices as previous.If I wanted to eat a kebab and drink on a bench I’d pick a spot at my local park!

Massively overpriced for what you get, bland meats with hardly any seasoning, bland salad with no dressing and a small bowl of it to share, dry bland pita bread and small portions, Been to many Turkish restaurants and won’t be returning to this one! we left the place feeling we had been robbed.

I don’t normally write reviews, but they helped us with our wedding reception they followed the guidelines and helped us celebrate our wedding day. The food was awesome everything was delicious spot on, but we had so much that we had to take home doggy bags which will be very well enjoyed. Thank you all so much it made our day.

Nothing wrong with the place, clean, pleasant waiters, decent standard turkish food but absolutely nothing special about the place to justify the high prices. Two particular things disappointed, we asked if we could have chips instead of the rice and were told no "because "they are too expensive" but as it was quiet they would do us some fries! They presented us with the rice we didn't want plus a few "McDonalds style" fries. As both chips and fries were listed at £4.50 that was hard to understand and the rice was wasted. We always ask for chips instead of rice at Turkish restaurants and have never, prior to this, been refused.I had noticed on reviews that the restaurant had done a little low key birthday presentation at the end of a meal for a couple of guests and I thought that would be a lovely little surprise for my partner, who's "milestone" birthday we were celebrating and would round the evening off and make a memorable evening and make it memorable. I emailed the restaurant asking if they could possibly do this for my partner,admittedly I didn't get a reply but hoped they would do it. I waited in anticipation and expectation as our dessert came, nothing. Perhaps with the bill/ nothing. What a shame. I left feeling thoroughly disappointed with the whole evening. Fortunately we have several excellent local Turkish restaurants who are more welcoming and give much better value.

Went as a three last night and from start to finish was lovely. We was at the top where the bar area is only thing which is a shame was the atmosphere up there wasn’t the same as downstairs but it didn’t ruin the night! Our waiter was fab he continually asked if we needed drinks and was just overall really polite. Shame I didn’t get his name as he deserves to be praised! Food was lovely unfortunately only got a picture of the starters but absolutely no defaults. Will return again.

Massively over priced for a lunch time meal nice food but way to pricey for lunch and expensive drinks would not go back again

I booked this restaurant for my boyfriends birthday and it was absolutely stunning. On the reservation I told them we were celebrating a birthday and for desert the brought our desert out with a happy birthday decoration and a lit candle. The staff were so kind and so polite and the atmosphere is perfect for couples! I can’t wait to visit again!

I was very disappointed on my visit to this restaurant. I was shocked that the waiter was very rude when we asked for a drink he said that we had to wait until he bought the food. We also had to ask for sauces and the waiter was not happy about this. He seemed very stressed and we did not receive the customer service expected. I have visited many restaurants and this was the worst service ever. Our night was ruined and we didnt enjoy the meal. The food was OK but overpriced.

I am a regular user of teh Fat Turk from Take aways to eat in,The food is always deliciuos and the service si great . Socila distancing is well handled and Covid compliant to a high degree.My Favourite is chicken sis and AtomV .

We went for dinner last week. Such a shame. overpriced average food, some of it tasteless. We were next to a group of screaming young girls who were very drunk and all they did was take pictures of their food and each other. On the whole not pleasant. We ate what we could, paid the bill and left. First and last time. I'm sorry.

We went for my husbands birthday, a little treat away from kiddies, we didn’t realise how much of a treat it would be. The staff were so friendly and so welcoming, we sat in a really nice little spot, with a beautiful view of the sun setting. The starters were like main courses there was plenty of food, it was incredibly delicious. The Main’s were equally delicious and satisfyingly filling, accompanied by a tasty glass of prosecco. The cocktails were delightful and my husband had desert which he could not stop talking about. We will definitely be back, and if you are in the area it is definitely somewhere you need to eat.

I would highly recommend dining at The Fat Turk and will definitely be returning. My group of 4 were very politely greeted by staff and taken to our table as soon as the COVID-19 procedures were complete. Our orders were taken and food arrived quickly and well presented. Two of us had a prawn starter which was exceptional. We all chose the Lamb Shish main and all thoroughly enjoyed it. We were there for a birthday surprise and they fully accommodated a dessert with a candle and ‘happy birthday’ stand which was a great touch! Excellent customer service and an overall lovely dining experience. The decor feels luxurious so made it a special night for birthday celebrations. Again, highly recommended and could not fault anything.

This restaurant has become somewhat of a local for my family, and the most recent visit did not disappoint. I received an email confirmation of my booking two days before, and was also advised to contact the restaurant if the booking was for more than six people, which it wasn't.They have laid out various measures to keep the dining experience safe, but also not interfering with the restaurant's ambience.The food as always was superb, this time we decided to order a selection of starters and share them tapas style. You have to order a dish of the ezme salata, it is like having a spoonful of summer on your plate. The prawn sis was lovely and fresh, as were the izgara dishes my family ordered. The food was so filling we could not manage dessert, that was the only downside.

Such a friendly welcome. Sat in a lovely spot with the most beautiful archway. Decor is fab, as is the staff, service and food. Ordered the Kalamar and literally it could have been a main meal, you get so so much food. These were the best squid I've ever had.. This was accompanied by the turk burger which again was amazing. Cocktails were great too. The place is just great and I can't wait to go back. A must visit if in the area xxxx

My partner (who is Turkish so knows good Turkish food) brought me home a takeaway from here after spending the evening here for a birthday. I was shocked(!) to find out that my ‘meal’ was £27! For a couple of pieces of chicken, lamb, kofte and some bread I thought it was very overpriced. This was confirmed further when I ate it. Why is there no seasoning or flavour at all? I’ll give it to them, the meat was fresh, could taste that, but that was it. I’ve had much better food for a fraction of the cost. I’m not sure what was ordered to the table, but I know my other half had the liver starter, which he said also had no flavour and he’s had better elsewhere. None of the table were impressed. Seems as though the restaurant is all look no substance and horribly overpriced!

Been here a few times and this time was just as good. Food all very nice and cocktails are lovely. Service also good. Yes a lil expensive but as it was all good don't mind paying a lil extra. Defo recommend a visit!!

Asked to sanitise on arrival and tables were well spaced out. Lovely decor and plenty of time given to decide what you want to eat. Cocktails seem a bit pricey (£13 for a G and T) but the wine list was fine - with something for every wallet. Halloumi was crispy and delicious as was the calamari. The chicken Shish was a good size portion with lovely bulghur wheat rice and a small portion of red cabbage - just the right size and one of us has a very hearty appetite. The mixed shish (chicken and lamb) was also excellent with both meats being juicy and well flavoured. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Although staff were not wearing masks, we didn't feel unsafe at all. Tables cleaned down as soon as guests left. All in all a good evening and I would certainly go back.

Tiny portions, average food, overpriced and no Covid-19 measure. No staff wearing PPE, tables not separated as every other table like other restaurants, so everyone was sitting close together. No adequate cleaning of tables. Cutlery laid out on the table before we arrived. Other members of public running around like it was a playground.Stated the one meal didn’t contain a certain allergen, then I found it in there! Also staff need some training in customer service, smiled at waitress and got a dirty look! Kept trying to take our plates away whilst I was still eating. Also trying to hurry us along to get the next customers in. The Fat Turk is trying to be something it isn’t It’s only Brentwood not the Kings Rd!! This level of poor service is not acceptable. We won’t be returning, it’s definitely gone downhill you only need to look at the last reviewed on here! Im so concerned that this restaurant is allowed to operate due to the shocking flaunting of COVID-19 measures.

Very nice appearing restaurant, however I’m afraid very average run of the mill food but with high prices, one of those it appears some folk just want to be seen at!, have had much better and value from the other Turkish restaurants in town.

Visited for the first time today. Overall very good service and food. A little pricey compared to other Turkish restaurants and nothing stood out to make this cost justified. Cocktails were too sweet. Food was good and tasty. Service was ok also.

Firstly, no requirement for our party to provide contact details for track and trace, my request for an outside table ignored, staff not wearing masks or regularly washing hands inbetween interactions. Tables not adequately spaced and very close together. Staff leaning over us to collect plates. Also saw drunk members of public all piling into the kitchen - they must of knew Staff members but not very hygienic especially during a pandemic! Very concerning! Staff very pushy within 5 minutes of sitting down the server came over 3 times telling us we had to hurry up as the table was required for another sitting! Other staff members not smiling generally looking unappy. Food ok nothing special, small portions and quite pricey. A meal for 4 cost nearly £200 with no desserts and 1 drink each! One scoop of ice cream £6! No thank you. Used to be regulars when in Ongar but definitely gone down hill.

Spent bank holiday Sunday here with 4 of my friends, paid over £20 for tickets to arrive after seeing the publishing of a marquee to find we were sat outside of the marquee in the freezing cold. When we arrived as one of the first tables, we was greeted by the owner who we shared we was very unhappy with where we had been sat to be told there was nothing he could do with great attitude.To top it off we then reviewed the drink/food menu after we had been requesting this via the ‘all sorts’ event page for the past few weeks, to find a bottle of pink gin was £160, bottle of vodka £190! The mark up was totally unreasonable. The food was then brought out on paper plates, microwaved style, I’ve had better food from Iceland which is a real shame considering some of the meals I have had previously at this restaurant.When speaking to some staff to raise again our complaints was told ‘well you are in brentwood’. Absolute disgrace. Also seemed those in VIP didn’t need to adhere to social distancing yet everyone else was expected to stay sitting at there bench. I will NEVER step foot in this restaurant again, I think the owner should be ashamed to have allowed such an event to go ahead when it is clear all that was important was the money they were taking!

We came here for my daughters birthday. Social distancing measures are good, hand sanitiser etc. Service was excellent and food was good. However, compared to other restaurants of similar quality the food was v expensive £18-£20 for small chicken shish. £10 average starters. £13 cocktails. The food was lovely and meat tender. Id ordered a birthday brownie for eldest but again was expensive.I can’t fault the service and the food was delicious but it just was too expensive. Beforehand would pay for night out with bae etc but with that closed the ambience wasn’t glamorous so can’t even say pay extra for atmosphere. Anyway eldest enjoyed.

Enjoyable Saturday evening family birthday meal. Attentive, friendly and polite staff. Good atmosphere & tasty enjoyable food. Slightly overpriced on drinks and food as portions are not massive in comparison to other Turkish restaurants.. Nice restaurant for a special occasion.

Very disappointed with the size of the portions, we had the mix lamb and chicken which was 5 pieces of each with rice and a bowl of salad for 2 people. If you put both plates together, excluding the rice then that would be what you should expect, as you felt the main was more like a starter. We have eaten in other Turkish restaurants especially the one in Chigwell many times, will not mention the name but you will guess which one, which is a bit more expensive but worth the trip. What they need to do is visit that restaurant and see what portions size they are dishing up for the price. People expect good food and value for money which in my opinion was not the case today. This was our first visit and will probably our last on what we experienced today.

Came here for lunch on a very hot day this week with a friend we sat on the terrace. Should perhaps have asked to go inside as it was air conditioned however, the terrace was very pleasant with it’s water feature. The restaurant has a beautiful decor both inside and out, all very stylish. I had a mixed kebab which was very tasty. This came with a small salad and a small portion of couscous. I would say the portions are not the usual that you get in a Turkish restaurant ie big salad , loads of bread and rice. It certainly isn’t the cheapest. Service was efficient and polite. It was a lovely place to go but I think there are better places to go which provide better value.

Very underwhelming the restaurant is in two sections one is beautifully decorated the other is basic to say the least. £10 for 3 little bowls of dips which were average and served with cold hard pitta bread. Main course trio of meat well certainly didn’t look like the insta pics and arrived on a chipped plate. The chicken was cooked lovely but the lamb was bland. Salad consisted of cabbage and tomato and was incredibly boring and tasteless so really not worth the £26 price tag. There some lovely Turkish restaurants in Essex this is not one of. Spoke to the manager who informed me that my opinion on the food isn’t valid, and lots of other diners enjoyed the food. Shame that I didn’t enjoy it and wasn’t willing to make my experience at the Fat Turk enjoyable or even willing to make amends for my disappointment. No customer service skills at all and the fact you had a table of 3 disappointed diners didn’t concern you. No Covid measures in place and staff not wearing masks and leaning across tables to deliver food and drink.Don’t bother going spend you money at a restaurant that values its customers as this place certainly doesn’t! Try Kervan or Shish Meze both outstanding food and service. Don’t be fooled by the instagram pictures this place does not deliver on food or decor and is run by children.

Massively disappointed. Smallest portions I've seen in a TurkishPoor Salad.Cocktails small and not made with love at all.High end prices but dont deliver the standard compared to other Turkish restaurants. No covid measures in place.No staff wearing masks leaning over us wiping table. Lots of people outside drinking smoking. Back of restaurant is nicely decorated front section is no more than a cafe.If you want somewhere special and a class Turkish. Choose somewhere else

We arrived on time, our table wasn’t quite ready so we sat on the benches and had some drinks bought over, very pleasant front of house staff although would have been nice to look at a menu. Got seated and looked around, decor all good, noticed a couple waiting to pay another couple had finished there meal. After ten minutes got our menu, the waiter then cleaned the couple plates away then took payment from the other couple, my opinion all a bit slow.The food it self was good apart from the salad which was poor. The waiter started to clear our starters away whilst I was still eating as the mains were ready, not the service I would recommend. Would I go back? Not in a hurry. The service for me let it down.

Dined here with with few friends for one of their birthdays. Upon arrival was not asked to sanitise hands or even any COVID measures in place. Waiters serving without masks/ gloves on and reaching over to pass drinks and clean tables.Cocktails could of been better and more like fruit juice than an alcoholic cocktail, could of been topped up to the top of the glass aswel considering they’re £13.50 each? Starters were disappointing, bread was dry and crusty with no flavour, not like other Turkish restaurants I’ve been to. £10 for trio of dips which was a small portion. Calamari was standard. Dinner arrived, ordered the mixed shish. Kofte looked Like it was glazed and was very dry with no flavour, lamb was overcooked and dry, again with no flavour. Chicken was ok. Salad arrived, and was in a small bowl for three people to share, two pieces of cucumber along with green cabbage, hard tomatoes and some red cabbage. No dressing, not like a normal Turkish salad or any lemon. Asked for extra cucumber and was told sorry we don’t have a lot of cucumber. Was then bought up some extra cucumber and some bland green cabbage and tomatoes. Told waiter of our disappointment who said he would speak to the manager. We asked if the manager had anything to say. Manager then came over and seemed to of been offended at our opinion and said he had seen the food and it wasn’t overcooked, and that they were not a normal Turkish restaurant. The name clearly is misleading then. Was told nobody else has complained tonight and that would be different if we’d found a hair in our food or had food positioning. Wasn’t interested in addressing the situation. Manager seemed inexperienced on how to deal with criticism and complaints, and once we had paid our bill we was not shown out or thanked for our custom. Can’t help but think because we was using the help out to eat scheme this reflected in the part of the restaurant we was sat in and the food we was served. Social media photos misleading compared to the food we was served. Considering the measures being put into place for restaurants regarding COVID, no sanitiser station was there, staff without gloves or masks on and sharing a bowl of salad doesn’t seem to be very COVID adhering. Food was below mediocre and would much rather give my custom to shish meze, kervan kitchen or veysos, where the food is spectacular, prices are good and customer service is great too. Will not be recommending or returning to this restaurant. Gloves, masks, manners and cucumber seem to be hard to come by where the fat Turk is concerned. Maybe change your name if you’re not a Turkish restaurant, and also invest in some better cutlery as being served a “£26” meal on a chipped plate isn’t really living upto your so called reputation.AVOID and spend your money elsewhere.

We had the most delicious lunch on the terrace. The food was the best I have had in a long time, lovely open space and perfect for a relaxed afternoon.

Myself and my husband had lunch here today. We both have dietary requirements and I cannot believe how amazing our waiter Ryan was from start to end. Nothing was to much trouble, the food was amazing the setting was lovely and we will definitely be visiting more often. Hats off to the chef and staff especially Ryan. What a credit to your business he is. See you soon Fat Turk.

We are quite regular here,always have a nice meal,food always top notch highly recommend.service great too.

Nice lunch, although we ate al a carte the set menu looked like good value. Good size helping of calamari to start, my chicken sis was very tender and tasty. My husband went for a steak, he was disappointed with the chips. Both full after two courses so didn’t try a desert. Service was ok. We would return if we were in the area.

booked this for my husbands birthday treat after reading positive reviews...good vibes directly we stepped inside..got a lovely smiley welcome..my coat was taken and hung up..decor beautiful..polite service..food presentation beautiful on every course..everything we had was full of flavour..great vibe to the restaurant..went upstairs after food to champagne bar..we ordered cocktails..again lovely low lighting table lamps piano playing..then DJ..relaxed atmosphere..brilliant all round will be back.

As always the service is faultless. As soon as you arrive you know it’s going to be a great night. I recently visited with my sister and friends to celebrate her birthday and we all had a great time. Looking forward to my next visit

Really recommend this restaurant. The food was amazing and the service was great . Went there yesterday for the first time and was not disappointed. Look forward to going there again soon

Took my husband here for a surprise birthday meal. I'd say it was average. The decor is lovely and staff very friendly but I've had better food. We were offered water for the table. To my surprise when we got the bill we'd been charged £5.Starters were nothing special and seemed pre prepared. The mains were tasty enough, although I thought overpriced. The dips that accompanied them had a film over the top as though they'd been sitting for a while.All in all I would have expected better for a meal that cost almost £100 for two persons. Doubt we'll return.

Visited with my family for dinner a while agoand thouroughly enjoyed. Great cocktails and great atmosphere. Easy to travel to and find.

Went here for the first time for my birthday. Staff were excellent. Food delicious. Classy restaurant feel and a champagne bar with live DJ in to go to after. For my birthday I was given a complementary desert which was a great personal touch. Will be returning!

Good Place with a nice internal design. The huge park is a plus. Lamb hamburger is very tasty. Ti be improved the desserts and alcoolics list.

Went at lunch time after being hugely recommended. I was not disappointed. Server Ryan was wonderful and knowledgable about all the dishes. Food was fresh and cooked to order. Very tasty. Every course was as promised by my recommender. I had the Sundae for dessert which had everything in it. Will be going again, and probably again.
