We had Easter Sunday Lunch here. The food was lovely and tasty. I had beef with all the trimmings. My husband and our friend had Turkey. Really enjoyable; nice atmosphere, good music and friendly staff team. They also have full menu available if your not in to roast dinner.

Food was ok. Ordered coffee and told that the machine was broken so only flat white available. Coffee arrived too strong and cold. Sent it back and Landlord aggressively queried why as it was ‘proper Nescafé’!! Tool one back and offers no refund - even tho we had been charged for filter coffee. Waitress was lovely. Landlord aggressive and rude abs continued to stare at people whilst they were eating.

Had a really nice Mac & Cheese today, great kids meal also. Our friend had the prawn salad and it was yummy too. Serving staff were really nice too, especially interacting with my younger son. One gent got a little loud with some coloured language and the manager asked him to leave, which was really appreciated for our dining comfort. Would return again if we were in the area, thank you for a great meal.

Great pub, lovely surroundings and the staff are so polite and accomidating. One particular member of staff named Lewis was so kind and thoughtful, being aware of the children maybe wanting their food sooner than the adults, which mine DEFINITELY did haha. Also took the time to check you’re happy with everything I cannot fault anything at all and the food was delicious and very reasonable with large portions. Shame I couldn't finish it all 😁❤

We love the Fairwater. Lovely refurb and update. Fabulous and friendly staff team. Good food. But really missing the Sunday lunch which makes a community pub. Brings everyone in and all ages. Lovely lunch today.

Only returning now after all this covid. The fairwater hasn't changed a bit still friendly and welcoming. Remembered us like it was yesterday. Welcomed our group of "oldies" with enthusiasm and appropriate humour making us immediately feel at home and valued. Food was lovely, just like we remembered. Will be back regularly now. Johnny is a darling.

Visited for Sunday lunch booked on Mother's day with family and was very impressed, seated straight away, service was quick and the food was lovely with very nice portions. Staff are amazing and very friendly too. Visited a few other places recently for Sunday lunch and been let down with the service in some and food not being so good in others so this was like a breath of fresh air, will definitely be visiting again. Highly recommended!

Popped to the Fairwater today for a business meeting and had a bite to eat with soft drinks (although would've been a pint if not working!). The staff were really busy and efficient in ways of working, clear covid notices and one way system in place. Place was really clean, tidy and very covid safe! I had the fish finger (mini whale) sandwich. Wish I had a taken a photo as it was fantastic. Great size portion with chips and crisps. Really impressed and would defo recommend if you are in the area and looking for some great value pub grub! Thanks Gavin

I have visited the Fairwater Pub twice recently and my returning custom is simply down to the 2 wonderful girls behind the bar who definitely stood out more than others!! Louis and Tayler a massive credit to this pub and both amazing with the children. Tayler also made me a latte in which she brought over so I didn’t have to wait standing and topped it off with a love heart design on the top!! Extremely lovely

Nunca escribo reseñas, ¡pero la comida de hoy fue fantástica! ! El servicio era insuperable y la comida era para morirse (mi amigo casi muere después de robar mi bola de relleno). Felicitaciones a John y al equipo, el pedido de 40 personas fue acertado. Teníamos nuestra propia habitación con la gran pantalla con deportes. . los niños se lo pasaron muy bien y se sintieron bienvenidos. Sin duda recomendaría el pub Fairwater. . pero no esta vez el año que viene, ya que lo hemos reservado.

Went here for our works Christmas 'do'. They food was amazing and the service excellent. Would definitely recommend here.

Ordered steak for me and also a mixed grill for my hubby. OMG it was absolutely amazing. Louis did the pub very proud. Definitely go back and have that again. 10 out of 10 Louis.

Came here on bank holiday Monday for the Fairwater festival. All the staff were lovely and had put in a massive effort for all the kids.My wife is vegetarian so could not eat off the BBQ so we decided we would eat inside. She had the veggie sausage mash and gravy.The mash had not been mashed together and still have big chunks of potato in it and it was dry.

Nice beer garden so that me and a mummy friend could have lunch whole babies played in the park outside Good value food, good quality Would recommend

Excellent service! Had a jacket with chili, came nice and hot, very tender and great chili made with beautiful beef and just the right amount of spice. It’s a pub but did the unthinkable and had a coffee. It was fresh and hot and strong. Wonderful lunchtime experience.

Went toThe Fairwater pub for Sunday lunch today, food was excellent value and very nice too. 2 mains, 2 puddings and 2 drinks for £18. The staff are fantastic, The Manager and the girl behind the bar are so friendly and make you feel welcome. Food came within 10 minutes of ordering and the portions are sizes are excellent too. It's the 2nd time I've been in 6 months. First time I came I had to eat in the bar as the lounge was full and pub was packed but this time I booked in advance and sat in the lounge.

15 of us came for my Birthday. The staff were lovely and looked after us even though they were busy with their regulars. The food was great, starters came out hot and good sized portions. Then our main meals came out together and all were really tasty. I Had gammon with poached eggs ... delicious. Scampi for my sis,lasagne and gammon for my parents,hunters chicken,and burger for my children. All our meals were cooked to perfection and were all demolished with no complaints. I would recommend anyone to eat here. Reasonably priced and well looked after by pleasant staff.

Called in for an early dinner and was really surprised by the pub food and facilities. Ate here once before about 1 year earlier, it now has a great beer garden and safe / secure children's play area, plus a new chef (I think).

Just had a delicious Sunday lunch with the kids. Plenty of food, the beef was 👌🏼 Even had desert included. Lovely friendly staff. Will definitely be back soon 😋

Rump steak and chips .....plain pub grub but probably one of the best rare rump steaks I’ve had in a while. Chilli and rice nice and spicy. Good portion sizes of sweet potato chips too

We had our Christmas family meal here, we are a large family of 40 so a lot to accommodat and they did a fantastic good.

Fabulous food, excellent friendly service. Great value. Lovely traditional pub with staff only too happy to help and make sure you have everything you need.

Lovely warm pub,great good and service.Lewis and Rachel are so friendly and attentive.We had,ham eggs and chips,Cajon chicken,jkt.potato and peas,all beautifully cooked and great prices.This has now become our local and we will be trying out the night-time entertainment.Thank you both.

Booked a table for 8 people for our meals,had plenty of room. Orderd our drinks and sorted everything out with John who was great and very helpfull. Food was cooked and brought to us in no time and was all very nice with no complaints from anyone thank you michellefor stepping in to help so that chef louis could sit with us. Was a really lovely afternoon.

As the title says. Beautiful surroundings, lovely playground but the food was average at best. Friendly staff were a delight however and definitely worth going for a drink (or two!)

Went for lunch with my girlfriend and some other friends. Food is good and freshly prepared. Staff friendly and helpful. What’s not to like?

Had a really lovely lunch here today. Staff, in particular Emma, were welcoming and friendly and really helpful. Food was hot and delicious. We both had fish and chips and the batter was perfect. Light and crispy. 2 year old son had sausage and beans which he thoroughly enjoyed. Tasty sausages too for a toddler instead of the usual plain ones.

This was a good choice for lunchtime ....friendly, family atmosphere, good menu, warm and cosy on a chilly autumn day. Excellent service and very reasonably priced food. Thanks to all concerned.

Love this pub and the food today was so amazing. Had steak and it was gorgeous. The youngsters running the pub (yes I'm old) are fab too. Definitely recommend the pub and food.

Had two occasions here for mums birthday, first one was a meal for 25 of us and everything was perfect, the food was amazing and not one complaint from 25 people, staff were very friendly and helpful and all worked really hard. Second occasion was to use the room upstairs, once again staff were very helpful and the landlord supplied us with all what we needed for teas and coffees for our afternoon tea, definitely be visiting again soo, well done. Thanks again from myself Maria and all my family.

Just visited The Fairwater in Cardiff on day out. Food was really good as was coffee, very friendly staff, especially Ewan, but I have to say a huge thanks to Emma for all she did to help us which really saved us a lot of frustration and disappointment for the remaining part of our holiday. We found the disability shop and was able to get a new tube for wheelchair, thanks again 5*.

My friend and I went to this pub for lunch and it was perfect. The young waitress was so friendly and helpful.. We noticed that she interacted with every customer. The presentation of the scampi was impressive and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The chef asked us if we were happy also. We wouldn't have got better service had it been a five star restaurant. Thank you so much- we'll be back

Went to the fairwater for mums birthday meal,it seemed busy but we had a table reserved,went to bar got served straight away! Food was orderd and we were seated. We were serverd our food by a lovely lady (Emma) very helpfull and friendly,she made sure we had everything we needed. Food was amazing,hot,and a good size portion.(Cooked by the chef Louis).

The fairwater pub has Amazing food, friendly staff and a lush beer garden I would recommend it too all. (Go to the pub for coffees on Mondays)

Visited for late lunch on a Saturday afternoon, the pub was only about 40% full with no kids running around inside. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

The Bunker was full so we decamped to the Fairwater and we were very glad we did. We were able to sit in pleasant surroundings, in relative tranquility, and order from a wide selection of lunches: large plates, smaller portions and traditional pub lunches. We all chose something different, expect for the twin aunts, who went for the same thing...surprise surprise. They could be in separate restaurants and order the same thing. Anyway, my cousin had the chicken salad, and declared it magnificent. I had the loaded nachos with chilli beef & beans - delish! My mum had the lasagne and proclaimed it tasty & hot (which is important to mum, who doesn’t like cold food, or cooling food - she likes hot food to be hot!) our waiters, Emma and Lois were brilliant, making recommendations and suggestions which we appreciated very much. Our chef Louis also made an appearance at table, which was a refreshing experience. Lovely to know that the chef cares about how we enjoy our food as customers. Well done the Fairwater! 5 stars all round!

I am really fussy with my food but must admit I really enjoyed the food. It was well cooked , hot and the staff are really friendly .

Have been in for drinks before but went in today for a Sunday lunch and wow!! The food was wonderful,the service great,it has a lovely warm atmosphere and u won't believe the prices!! amazing value!! And u didn't have to ask for anything I.e extra gravy or sauces ,as the great staff had already thought of all this for us happy days will definitely be eating here again

The food here used to be dire but the change in landlord has totally changed the pub itself including the food , I’ve eaten here regularly now for the past few months and it’s always ten out of ten , good value for money , served within ten mins looks good and tastes good . Haven’t tried the Sunday lunch yet but shall be doing this on the weekend and it’s only £7.50 for two courses , would highly recommend this pub for food .

Our Great local pub, serving good value pub food. Sunday lunch is enjoyed by all my family in a friendly atmosphere, Each day there are specials on. Fortnightly Music and especially quiz nights are really good fun. The staff are really lovely too. They are doing a great job - well done guys x

Lovely pub and the food by Lewis is absolutely gorgeous. Can't fault the place. Always friendly and welcome. We'll come back again and again.

We booked a table for 9 with less than an hours notice. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We all really enjoyed the food and the deserts were lush (especially the hot chocolate fudge cake). The cost was really reasonable too. The only downside was some of the locals "f-ing and blinding" even though there were several children present but we didn't let that put us off.

The fairwater hotel is a lovely little pub, with a great atmosphere. The staff are always so friendly and ready to greet you with a warm smile. Theres a huge beer garden and plenty of seating to enjoy the sunshine. The food is excellent presented really well and tastes exceptional plus the price is a bargain for what your getting. On a monday they have buy one get one free on the meals so you could grab yourself and a friend a meal for less than 6 pounds. Theres a few televisions in there and they will cater to what the drinkers want whether it's racing, football or music channels. I highly recommend a stop in the fairwater hotel i doubt you would be dissapointed.

Helped to organize a funeral reception. Nothing to much trouble for the staff. Offered to hold the reception downstairs to help people with mobility problems. Excellent buffet. Reasonably priced. Would thoroughly recommend the Fairwater.

They serve a decent pint of Brains but the atmosphere in the lounge isn't amazing. I'm always scared of going in the actual bar and find it quite intimidating - lots of youths hanging out by the betting shop, shouting at passing cars and staring at you when you go passed. We stayed just across the road and I don't know how the local manage with the shouting at kick-out. That said if you have 20 minutes between busses or need a quiet pint the lounge is OK...typical bar really

Visited this pub for food with family recently and it was perfect. Lovely warm cosy environment, excellent value food and lovely staff what more could you ask for?

Warm friendly atmosphere for lunch with girls.good value pub classics.Lots of space and no rush .mixed group of customers, young mums and children. . Teachers from nearby school on lunch..local workman..All very relaxed.

Hopeless. Called pub today -they stop serving food at 6???? Not good. They've lost some good customer due to this

The new menu started yesterday ! BUT they stop serving food between 5&6pm so at 7pm there was no food available on the all day menu.
