The Exmouth Arms in Islington

I booked a table for drinks on their website but the bartenders couldn't find it. We were left with no alternative table and no apologies, it was a bit disappointing.

Great little pub in the heart of Exmouth market. Was very busy on a Thursday we went. Cute place. Nice views to the street. Food was good and service was very attentive despite the crowd. We had a great time. Highly recommend!

Have been trying out Sunday roast around our area and decided to try the Exmouth arms had a Nice Roast dinner, Had plenty of Chicken & Veg shame about some of the vegetables, perhaps replacing one with cauliflower cheese would be nice and a twist to other pub roast dinners, wasn’t really any taste to the Red cabbage or swede but the rest made up for it cabbage , carrots & plenty of Roasties the Yorkshire pud was huge as well , partner had the Vegetarian wellington option which was nice as well but shame about the gravy being poured over the wellington making the pastry soggy, but just have to ask for a jug of gravy on the side instead next time . Very good service and friendly and attentive staff and the pub itself was pleasant and had a good vibrant atmosphere. The menu was quite varied for a Sunday so plenty of choice if you didn’t want the Roast dinner option. And a very good reasonable price as well compared to most pubs who served smaller portions. A good variety of Beers, Wines and soft drinks All in all a very nice time had and will definitely be returning.

Hosted a 30th birthday in the private cocktail space and it was a great location for a get together, we really appreciated the bartender who was super friendly and made everyone feel welcome!

Probably more of a drinkers pub - was incredibly loud and the food was less than average unfortunately. But suspect it would be great if you're out to get smashed

Went out with some colleagues for some after work drinks, hungry for some pub food and thirsty for craft beer. Left work at 5.30 and the closest pub near me was the exmouth arms! As per, it had great atmosphere, brilliant service and friendly staff. Can’t wait to return to my favourite pub in the summer for the outdoor seats :P

Went for a cold one to calm down after the missus got lemon for not washing up, next thing I know I’m 8 pints deep due to the handsome service from the gaffer, think his name was Toby. Mustard establishment be lucky

Had the roast. Yorkshire was inedible and completely crunchy, they had no take out boxes for any leftovers either. Rest of the plate was good however so was pretty disappointed. Will probably head back again sometime and give it another go.

Cooles, kleines und lautes Pub. Essen ist teuer und die Portionen nicht gerade groß. Aber alles lecker und man ist ja für das Bier hier. Insgesamt ein super Erlebnis und ein tolles Pub.

Had a bad experience with some of the patrons. The bar staff (man in cap particularly) could not have handled it better and the security man was equally amazing! As a woman, it’s so important to feel safe in London and the staff at this venue could not have made me feel more listened to and my safety more prioritised. Thank you so much exmouth arms!!

A proper locals pub with a very original feel to it, appeals to me completely, awesome decorations, solid prices, good service and a well spaced floor prevents you constantly bumping into someone else, only reason for 4 stars was the quality of the Camden Pale which came out flat twice. Very excited to return for the smash burgers so may give 5 in the future :)

was just in the pub, trying to decide between pizza Pilgrims and a Sunday dinner decided to eat at the Exmouth and now wish I had had pizza. I ordered the pork belly it’s arrived really small portion potatoes, black on the bottom the cabbage was soggy and overcooked and the pork was not pork belly. It was a pork shoulder rolled which was very fatty. No meat on it tough as old boots Really disappointed as this used to be a great pub. I mentioned to the lovely bar girl and she said she would tell her manager, but nobody came out to say sorry or anything. Wish I had had the pizza!!!!!

Food was fantastic. The selection of beers pretty good. The staff also very friendly but the music volume was non sense. I kind of miss the objective of the managers overall. You have a good gastropub with decent seating but a bouncer and deafening music playing from 6pm onwards? You should decide if you are a dancing floor or a good pub. Hint: no-one was dancing.

Really good and professional service, decent prices, good portions of food. I recommend the Korean BBQ wings - delicious! Only issue is that the music is a little too loud for a pub, you have to shout to hear each other like in a bar.

Used to come here regularly before the lockdowns and have always enjoyed it. Great setting and decent beer selection, the food has always been really nice and looking forward to it opening up again.

La comida era mala y el servicio al cliente era deficiente. Fui para el cumpleaños de un amigo un domingo a la hora del almuerzo. Todos comieron asado: la carne de res estaba dura y los budines de Yorkshire estaban quemados y parecía que habían estado sentados en un radiador durante las últimas dos semanas. Comí la hamburguesa de quinoa, que era básicamente una mezcla de algunas cosas que identificaban como vegetarianas. Tampoco era una combinación agradable de cosas y era bastante sosa y aburrida. El personal fue grosero: nos dijeron que solo podíamos tener nuestra mesa durante el horario asignado (lo suficientemente justo), pero luego nos pidieron que nos fuéramos diciendo que estaban entrando personas que claramente no habían llegado. No volveré, hay lugares mucho más bonitos en la puerta.

En una zona atractiva y tuvo que ser visitado como una entrada de Good Beer Guide y un edificio patrimonial por derecho propio. El tiempo era alrededor de 2030. . . El pub era animado y ruidoso pero agradable ambiente. Buenas cervezas en oferta, atento personal del bar. No se consume comida pero está disponible. . . Definitivamente vale la pena una visita

I was recoverng from a knee operation so asked to buy 2 drinks at the bar to avoid an extra trip walking to the bar. The insensitive staff member refused. While I was at the bar I noticed they served 35ml of spirits. 25ml is more usual in London but there were no signs up regarding the measures - I thought that would be a legal requirement. Very disappointing.

Popped in to get out ofbyh the rain and was welcomed with a smile and a good selection of beer. Friendly staff that did not make me feel I had to rush my pint.

Really good pub, quite young clientele, buzzing atmosphere, excellent choice of beers. Handy if dining at one of the local restaurants, or going on to Sadlers Wells.

A warm darkened cave to crawl into on a wintry evening.

Great fried chicken, chorizo on point, fish & chips like you’d expect, large choice of beers, stylish waitresses and great service.

The price is never consistent! A friend of mine paid 10.95 for a glass of wine! I ordered the same wine a couple minutes later and I paid 7.50! Not only that, but later on we ordered a single GT and a glass of wine for 8.80. Then we ordered the exact same drinks and we payed 8.60 The ambiance is great but we won’t be coming back as I refuse to support rip off attitudes.

El Exmouth Arms ciertamente presenta una cara atractiva para el mundo. Se encuentra en una esquina en el corazón del mercado de Exmouth. El exterior inferior está decorado con azulejos verdes, que una vez se veían tan regularmente (rara vez en estos días) que adornan los pubs de la época victoriana. Nuestro IPA "Split Shift" de estilo americano fue muy agradable y no demasiado caro en un fiver teniendo en cuenta la tendencia de la zona. La elección del menú no era particularmente extensa, pero lo suficientemente variada como para ser agradable. Opción vegana comida principal y varios de los aperitivos son vegetarianos. Ambos tuvimos croquetas de endamame y mozzarella con brotes de salsa y guisantes. Una oferta bastante pequeña pero muy sabrosa y bien presentada con servilletas de lino reales. Estaba muy tranquilo por dentro, siendo entre semana a la hora del almuerzo temprano, pero estoy seguro de que está lleno por la noche. Fin de semana. El servicio fue amable sin ser efusivo. Pensé que la bebida y la comida tenían un precio razonable para Londres.

Really solid place but I think with to much emphasis on table service. With such a great beer range and good pub grub menu it should be optional to order at the bar. Staff professional and efficient but lacking a personal approach. With a bit relaxed attitude (don't mistake with lazy) could be a one off the best pubs in London. Thanks

Best craft beers I ever had. They rotate constantly, so you always get something new. The managers and staff are exceptional, and the food is fresh. I always had an amazimg time at The Exmouth Arms.

A wonderful spot to enjoy a cold beer in the late afternoon / early evening enjoying the 'traditional London pub' experience. Exmouth Market is well worth the visit regardless for its quality, bespoke outlets - not a chain store in sight.

I booked in advance for a group of 18. They were very reasonable and didn't ask for a deposit or insist on a set menu or pre ordering. We were probably a bit noisy but service was friendly and attentive and our food was served at the same time. Good value high quality pub food.

Visited on a Friday evening, which is playtime for London locals. Great atmosphere, good beer and outside seating. Exterior is reflective of classic London pubs, with beautiful green tiles.

Quiet for a Saturday drink at lunchtime but very pleasant staff.

4 of us ate and drank here on Sat lunch. Bloody Mary's were spot on and the food was very high quality for pub food. Vegan burger gets top marks.

Los gerentes somos tan groseros. En mi opinión, no es así como tratas a los clientes. Después de que me dijeran que me lo habían comunicado, había ido dos veces a hablarles en dos ocasiones diferentes. Terrible servicio y actitud de la dirección. Afortunado, otro pub local pudo darnos una habitación privada, ya que se avergonzaban de lo tarde que estaba y de mal manejo el pub del mercado de Exmouth. Totalmente decepcionante

Only popped in for a quick drink whilst walking through to our lunch reservation, staff behind the bar were so friendly and entertaining we ended up changing our reservation so we could have a few more!

Pedimos JD, obviamente ser un pub especial no sirve bebidas comunes que estén bien. Luego saca la botella de casa que rechazamos. . . . Silencio incómodo ahora mientras esperamos su ayuda, ¡pero él no está dando ese buen servicio al cliente!

Classic pub that's open late on Friday and Sarurday. On Thursday and Friday evenings it tends to be rediculous packed with people coming right after work so would avoid at these times unless you don't mind the scrum to get a beer. Great selection of beers too.

Try Camden South if you like this type of beer will be more than happy. A nice typical pub with a great atmosphere. Great service, we are served by a barmaid who came from Warmia.

Popped in for some lunch on a Sunday. Absolutely fabulous meal. Great value at £15 for good portion. We actually commented about how attentive all the staff were. Highly recommend.

I often go here for beers. Lovely pub with a great atmosphere for both summer and winter. Definitely go for beers. For Food, I wouldn't recommend it as much. We had a team lunch and the food, in my opinion, is a bit on the overpriced side for what you get. A burger should have it's pattie occupy the entire surface area of the bun. You shouldn't bite into it and then have nothing but bread and lettuce for several bites. Food quality is ok not the cutting corners on size of burgers. There is an Honest Burger and Dirty Burger on the same strip, eat there if you are hungry.

Called here with my son on our way to the Spurs match at Wembley. My son had researched it and I'm so glad he had, it's excellent! Both from the outside and inside, it had character, and is situated in the brilliant Exmouth Market. The staff were all good and the service impressive. The real ale and craft beer selection is extensive and all three pints I had were perfect. We decided to have our lunch and again this was very good, better than some restaurants. For pub food the flavour and presentation of my vegan green curry was brilliant, I could have eaten it all over again! My son had the vegan cheese burger and fries and that also looked very good. It is a very popular pub, we were the first in there, but by the time we left, it was packed! We noticed that people had reserved tables, which I would recommend, so as not to be disappointed!

Just on the corner of Exmouth Market, The Exmouth Arms is an atmospheric pub. It has that old historic vibe to it. It has a great selection of craft beers and ales to try. Upstairs there is a hidden vintage-style cocktail bar called 5cc which is very reasonably priced for London. Definitely, one of my favourite pubs in the Clerkenwell area and I would definitely come back here again

Great place for sitting outside and viewing Exmouth market. I'm sure it's a good neighbourhood pub and welcoming for locals , but I found the service offhand and the wine by the glass expensive.

Gutes Essen, gutes Bier, Bedienung war beim ersten Besuch auf Zack, beim zweiten Mal leicht überfordert. Einige haben von schmutzigen Gläsern geschrieben - das war bei und nicht der Fall. Allerdings waren wir das erste Mal um ca 16:00 dort, dann um 19:00 und da war die Bude total voll. Wem das zu viel ist, es gibt in der Umgebung genug andere Lokale zum ausweichen, also don't give up.

There's generally nothing wrong with this pleasant pub—apart from being too full during busy term times when students from the nearby learning institutions gravitate towards its more reasonable prices or its horrible, horrible booth-style seating intended for elves. Though it tries to have an interesting win offer, it seems to often run out of the wines that are interesting. In the other hand, the more crowd-pleasing kitchen of hip versions of old international, reliable favourites seems to be more trustworthy. Pleasant staff and a nice vibe when not crammed to hellish levels—something that does actually occur on a regular basis on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday night when local seats of learning are back on campus...

How nice to be able to have an excellent vegan burger in a classic pub. Good selection of pints. The girls and guys behind the bar were relaxed and service minded. A must if you love old pubs, but want a new take on classic pub grub.

Found this pub after walking around the market and area. Staff were friendly and the pub relaxed. Toilets are downstairs and well kept. Drinks prices are normal for London. Nice pub and would return when next in the area.
