My wife had a colleague who lived across the road from the Engineer's Arms, and I've always envied him. I visit infrequently, usually when walking round the local footpaths, for refreshments. The welcome is always warm and there's always a good selection of beers & ciders on tap. It is not a restaurant but you can get rolls & snacks - it's more for conversation over a drink or two. I like it.

Great place for a refreshing drink. Good atmosphere, a proper authentic pup with a large skeleton of real ales and good lagers.

Rudest owner ever! Me and my girlfriend came in to watch the football and joined a couple of friends. We sat down for around 10 minutes to watch the football and the owner came over and shouted at us very aggressively for not buying a drink (we were going to buy one at half time as we didn’t want to miss the match). Even after telling him this he came over a second time and swore at us both! Stay away from there, terrible atmosphere and made us feel very uncomfortable.

1st timer as visiting village, found this gem of a tradtional pub, great atmosphere, super selection of ales and beers, tasty snacks, music and sport on screen if that floats your boat, seating in or out, a must visit, see u again

An absolutely lovely pub, went in not expecting much, but what a friendly pub. Wouldn't hesitate to anyone to give it a visit.

7 to 8 pm, cockles and muscles delivering. Only snacks food. Real ale pub apmospher very busy. Excellent service worth going to for real ales, and do takeaways beer to go, very friendly and welcoming

This is by far the best pub here Some geezer even shook my hand on his way in." And he is right this is the best pub In the area The amazing selection of beers and ciders can even pick up a roll from the bar to tide you by. They Even beer, cider and gin festivals I'm sure they do more but only Been in the area a short amount of time..

Bedfordshire CAMRA cider pub of the year. 12 to choose from on my visit, cellar kept so temperature is right.

My partner and I love coming here to try whichever ales they have on that week. Great variety covering lights, ambers through to bitters and stouts. We always get a friendly welcome. There is a lovely cosy spot at the front of the pub and more open part at the back with tv screens for sports etc.

We went to a Spa nearby and quickly found that they served no beer. Thank you the engineers for saving me with your excellent staff, beer, armosphere and most of all, the tunes

An amazing village pub offering up to 10 interesting cask ales and 6 ciders all in good condition. The pub offers pizza and filled rolls to soak up the beers. The 74 bus stops opposite.

Great little pub, especially if you like your real ales. I have to say they're very covid secure, with masks worn at all times (unless you're sat at a table) and everyone adhered to it. Table service by very lovely staff. If you're anxious about covid safety and like real ale, here's the place you should go.

Whenever we visit my brother in Henlow we spend a couple of hours in this great pub .Fantastic selection of perfectly kept beers, Friendly ,efficient bar staff too, What's not to like?

Totally my favourite drinking place in the whole of Bedfordshire!. Good quality drinks, I've had several different types of bevvys here and they all taste delicious. There's a really good selection of drinks here, the usual brands and some more artisan ones. I love this place, and it's the only 1 I visit for a few sneaky drinks these days lol

If you’re looking for a decent selection of real guest ales and ciders then this is the best in the area by far. Owner and bar staff are all really friendly. Not really a food pub, but they serve pizzas and sausage rolls if you’re peckish.

The best pub in Bedfordshire?! Let's see what we've got.. Pleasant and welcoming landlord Kevin. Great to talk with customers Spotless, whether is bar or table area, toilets also clean and perfumed with a timed air freshener, to notice a range of free to use aftershave, great idea. Walls are full of signs and pictures an old school pub should be, not to mention the certificates of pub of the year winner, also the current one. Chess outside is just so cool and the garden wonderfully kept too, ah there's the bike also. One of the biggest range of ales seen so far, complimented by guests. Freshly made sausage rolls and pizzas available at the bar . Ticks all the marks Come in is worthed !
