Some of the best japanese food around. Just came back from Japan and this place matches. Halal as well.

The atmosphere and staff were great. However, this is really Chinese food. Unless you order Sushi, everything is fried and heavy drenched in rich sauces. Not at all what I would expect from the Japanese label.

Went for first time Thurs. Really loved it. Wish I lived nearer. A shame they don't do tuna sashimi. But pretty good value. I would have spend more for the same dishes elsewhere

This is only my second time ordering from them, but definitely not the last. I absolutely love the spicy seafood ramen; soul food. The duck Bao Buns are also delicious. Customer service is great. Highly recommend

I've eaten in and I've tried to have it delivered. I really enjoyed eating there and I must say that most of what they serve is authentic Japanese.

We have enjoyed Nagomi for quite a while, but since my 10 year old vegetarian child was diagnosed coeliac they have become our go-to takeaway. It's so hard to find anywhere to cater for both veggie and gluten free diets and we are so grateful to have this amazing restaurant in our town. There is so many options for him and they have all been delicious, food always arrives hot and delivery is speedy. WE LOVE YOU NAGOMI!

Alright Japanese food (good for dunstable standard), friendly waitresses. Pumpkin croquette is delicious! Melting in mouths, with a mellow sweet taste. Salmon sashimi don is better and more beautiful than expected. Fish tastes rather fresh. The vegetable tempura is the kakiage type rather than normal fluffy tempura butter and really too oily as in almost all Japanese restaurants here. Veggie and broccoli stir fry comes in large portion for a side, but the sauce is a bit too thick and a little too sweet toward the end. A touch of salt would be just fine. My friend’s rock shrimp tempura is huge! Looks nice :3 Yaki udon comes in huge bowls. Curry smells very nice. The two people sets are also huge.

The food is always nice however what is the point in allowing customers to order for a specific time if you're going to deliver 40 minutes later anyway (and on a Thursday)? You charge a few quid for a local delivery so I think it should be a bit more reliable. The delivery lady is lovely though.

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying the Seafood Set for 2 from Nagomi restaurant, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The delivery arrived exactly on time, even two minutes early, which was a fantastic start to our meal.The Seafood Set was an absolute delight. I tried avocado rolls here which is sushi for vegetarian and it tasted amazing!! Must try for vegetarians. Also tried gyozas and it was good too.

On deliveroo. Don't actually deliver to my address. Then don't be on deliveroo. I called after 20min late, to be told they don't deliver to me. Called back and ordered for collection. My husband turned up after 25min (as advised) still waited another 20min after that. Salmon was dry as a bone, inedible. Sad as we really wanted to support a small business. Spent £50, no discount offered, no extras. Disappointed. I get you guys are busy and I'm happy for that but would have liked better food for £50.

Very highly recommended. My family and I recently dined here and we were absolutely blown away by the experience. We ordered a variety of dishes, including small plates, sushi, yakisoba, ramen, and desserts. Not only did the food taste incredible, but the presentation was also stunning. The flavours were perfectly balanced and ingredients were of top quality. It was clear that the chef is extremely skilled and puts great care into every detail. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting. The service was excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive. Overall, we were thoroughly satisfied with our experience. Had lunch here with my wife on Sunday (oddly they only open for lunch on Sunday) and we enjoyed very much the maki rolls (dragon roll and spider roll highly recommended !) and yakitori ! Will sure come back for dinner !

The food was great except for the spicy beef in the Ramen dish which was not nice. Our first visit and we will be returning. Staff great and atmosphere with a few other tables occupied on a Thursday was good

Honestly the best restaurant in Dunstable! A real hidden gem. Food is really tasty and it’s very reasonably priced. I’ve told a lot of people about here and they have not been disappointed 😁

As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a pleasent greeting, the staff are considerate and kind, the food is amazing, and the atmosphere is traditional and warm. 10/10 all around

Very average food, not at all Japanese.

A very Chinese style Japanese, which I guess suits some dishes but not the ones me and my partner ordered. The service is very good and the interior is pleasant. Wouldn't recommend having beef here, it's exactly like Chinese takeaway do it - poor cuts and using beef tenderiser powder to make it edible which results in bad goopy texture to the meat and impossible to sear it. The yaki soba sauce is not really yaki soba sauce. Karage are more like chicken nuggets (but we got a lot more chicken than the advertised 7 pieces). The sushi was decent with well seasoned rice and I bet a shio ramen would be good here too. Egg is not a ramen egg, it's over cooked. Given the high ratings, I expected better but my one other experience eating out in Dunstable was also a let down so maybe it's the area. If you like authentic Japanese, look elsewhere - you'll probably pay a lot more though.

I’m my opinion way better than Wagamama. Food is more flavourful, the portion sizes definitely won’t disappoint and the staff are super friendly and wholesome. Me and my partner used to order from there every week, now we make sure to go in, sit down and enjoy the whole experience

Not a bad word to say. The food, drinks, and service were all fantastic.

I would avoid this Japanese in Dunstable.... We have been. charged 44.50 at the door paying cash...Yet the original order online was for £41.40...And we asked for a receipt and the receipt was for only £34.75...I do not mind £3 for delivery...You do the maths...Not only that we ordered 2 hours ago, and called to ask where our order was...AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! I also made a complaint to the restaurant, after we discovered they had ripped us off... and they did not care!!! We WERE a repeat customer - they did not care when I made the call to complain!! AVOID... I cannot even eat their food now...Its in the bin! Nagomi Izakaya poor show!!

Stunning traditional Japanese food! Friendly staff and a lovely ambience. The variety is also really brilliant. Even if you don't like sushi, there's lots more to choose from.

Friendly, welcoming staff offered me delicious tea on the house whilst I waited for my order of sushi which was absolutely amazing. I've eaten at nobu and sushi samba and the quality was right up there with them. I usually order from zero sushi but this place is a new favourite and since I live so close it will be dangerous to my wallet!!

First time. As they advertise, they are casusl dining , so no fancy set up decs or table but nice place. Good service. Good value and food cooked nicely. Good choice of food. We had the £49 taster menu for 2 and plenty to eat. Will be back for certain. Only one comment that the lettuce carrot and sweetcorn salad did not work as a suitable salad for an orential type meal.

It was absolutely very good restaurant, the sashimi were good portions but I was disappointed with the sashimi salad, too much lotus salad but just a little salmon and avocado

Tried my local Japanese restaurant, a first for me. Very cafe/bistro vibe. Warm welcome after walking in of the street with no reservation. Seated quickly & given a menu when ordering drinks. The aroma from the food around was pleasant. Kept it simple & was not disappointed...lovely tasty tapas/thali style sharer dishes. Mains features rice & noodles. Can recommend 👌 👍🏻

Arrived on a busy Saturday with no booking but were accommodated with a good table. We had the ramen and dumplings which were absolutely delicious.

The fact that in 2023 a restaurant in England does not provide high chairs for babbies/toddlers makes me really sad. Travelled about 30mins with a toddler hoping we could dine in as a family only to be let down. We also had to wait more than 20mins for 2 ramens take away(food was o.k.-miso soup was too salty) when the place was not busy at all. Next time I will choose a restaurant where a whole family can feel welcome.

We visit this place for first time. We had order for collection. We come early and we had given nice and warming welcoming. We could sit and wait inside while we wait for our food. We order for around £45. We had taroyaki octopus balls (3 for £4.50) and pork belly kushiyaki(3 for£5.95).Both small plates where very nice. But little bit overpriced. Also we order 3 Pan fried sobas. One was king prawn yakisoba (£10.96) and two shredded duck yakisobas (£9.95) . Sobas where nice just kinda small on porsions. Overall we where happy with customer service and our food. This place is definitelly on the pricier food places. We will revisit this place for sure try some of there ramens.

Great place to try Japanese food. Also sake, warm and cold. Potions are of good size, food quality great, I've had chicken with the pasta, kill me can't even pronounce the name and it was amazing. Really recommended place to visit. Hidden gem in Dunstable;)

Amazing little Japanese restaurant

We have been dining here for a while now, and the food is great. I have mentioned before that the service could do with improving, and I am glad to say it certainly is improving. Five of us went to eat on Friday, and the service was great. It will be interesting to see if this trend continues when the boss is not 'front of house'!

Best meal I've had out in a long time

Planned a Surprise birthday party for my mum a month early. Table was a rush to be ready but service was very quick and efficient with everything. Great atmosphere, good service (specially dealing with a table of 13) , lovely and very tasteful food. Would highly recommend here!

Absolutely fantastic little restaurant, as good as any Japanese place I've eaten before. Good selection of food, traditional dishes, sushi, and ramen, and incredibly reasonably priced. Cannot recommend enough!!! Very nice alternative if you don't fancy pizza, chinese or a curry.

We had sit in and it was great. Superb taste, big portions. We just had take away and paid £50. Half of the food went in the bin. Chicken skewers were barely cooked, food was tasteless and portions half of the size we got when inside. £3 fee for delivery literally around a corner is a joke as well.

Surprisingly this is a very good place to order top quality takeaway. As we are fans of Waggamama it's great that we have something that is better in Dunstable. We had two takeaways from this so far. It's a tad pricey but the food is good.
