This public house is a real cracker!

They have Schneider Weissebeer, so you know their serious. Great atmosphere and service. This yank gives them 5 stars.

Cannot comment on food as we didn't eat there, but this is a proper old time pub where you can go and have a drink and relax we are working in the area and stopped for a couple of pints on are way back to hotel, very friendly pub good safe environment for anyone. Staff very friendly and helpful too.

Good pub for a few beers before football

Good food, good beer, good atmosphere reasonable prices. I do enjoy popping in here after work when I'm in London.

A classic pub atmosphere. Carpet floors, carpet seats, and a very friendly environment. My wife and I loved it here! The food was good, but nothing special. The Scottish bartender was extremely friendly and helpful

Called in before the Newcastle game at Fulham. Lad in charge was very surly and unwelcoming. Ordered drinks and they arrived in glasses, before even taking a sip they were transferred to plastic glasses. Sat down at a table, after 10 minutes told to lift our plastic glasses. The table was then removed without any consultation! When I asked what was happening, I was told that it would be standing room only from then on, sure enough went to the toilet and on return seat was also gone. Will not return

Stopped for beers on our long distance tour along the Thames Path (we had only started an hour previously but one of our group is a Fulham Fan and took all 10 of us into his Footie Day Pub when it was empty to enjoy!! Wow what a treat!! Fabulous Fullers London Pride Real Ale. We have drunk this beer all over even at the Brewery Gate but THIS TAP WAS SENSATIONAL!! Really fabulous. Fresh, sweet, cool and Perfect. The Landlady prides herself keeping a beautiful cellar, clean lines, fresh barrels and served with a wonderful smile. We loved it. £4.90 a pint was our pick of the days outing. The chef cooks in the pub with the kitchen on view and the menu is amazingly continental. We should return Thank you for your hospitality and service

A perfect away day bar had a few drinks and a sing along with many other Newcastle fans certainly enjoyed ourselves free crisps on offer too from the best bar staff ever

Great traditional pub, food looked and smelt lovely. Had some great ales on offer. Really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely be returning.

What a cracking little pub. We stopped here after trying to avoid the usual Thai food and fullers pubs. So glad to have stumbled across it! The food was really good, pub classics. Had the bangers and mash, and also fish and chips. Chips were great! Reasonably priced, a great find.

We have been coming here when visiting London for many years and always go to the 8 bells. Sadly it is not what it was. Normally it used to be heaving , thid time it was empty..I wondered why. The mebu was sparse, boring and overly pricef. £12 for s pub burger s not on. My beer Fosters hsd disappeatef and replaced with a host of unknown beers. Much friendlier when the ausdies and kiwis used to manage it. Not sure whether we will return.

The very friendly barman helped my wife and I in with our pram. It felt like a traditional London pub. It was a quiet but lovely atmosphere and all the locals were very friendly. My son had some chips and they were delicious. Will be back!

Beautiful old pub with friendly staff. Was serving away fans but let us in after it had quietened down. Pints were literally half the price of the bars just north of there.

Good propper London boozer with decent pub grub and very good prices considering being in Putney. Always give the place a visit when in the area.

First visit last night with friends before Chelsea match Guinness was spot on sausage and mash was ok staff friendly and helpful best to book table on match days can't wait to visit again.

A lovely little pub with friendly staff who sent us to a chair near to a plug as we had to chair our phones. It was funny to meet some very local Irish people.

Typical old style pub, obv frequented by locals & passing trade, as close to tube station. Nice atmosphere, has outside seating , satisfying pub food, quick service .. can't comment on toilets etc as did not use.

A decent pub near to Putney Bridge Underground station. It has a traditional interior and some outside space at the front, which is nice in the summer. The beer selection is fairly decent too and prices reasonable. The barman was a bit grumpy though and wasn’t too welcoming, hence the minus one star. Didn’t have the food, but the roasts looked good being a Sunday and they were reasonably priced at between £13-15 ish. Worth a visit if in the area.

Popped in on a Tuesday evening when I was bored of TV in my hotel room. Nice atmosphere and the music playing was right up my street. A place playing the Cure will always rank highly in my book.

What a pub. Small and traditional. Well worth taking 10 minutes of your stay to check out the interiors and memorabilia on display. Situated in a lovely area and next to a very whacky book shop. Great service and a great pint. Will definitely visit again.

Always like going to the 8 Bells before a game at Craven Cottage and on this very rare occasion that West Ham won a game ,I went there after as well. Even though it gets rammed you never seem to have to wait too long. Keep up the good work.

Just been back to the Eight Bells and had a great Sunday roast. Lovely traditional pub with friendly atmosphere. The Sunday roast was lovely and good value.

Slightly tucked away just off the northeast end of Putney Bridge, this lovely, small, traditional English Free House pub has a horseshoe shaped bar. Indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is good, traditional pub snacks and meals deliciously prepared. Great beer.

A really good pub with great customer service

Staying in the area for a rugby match we found The 8 Bells an ideal place to make home for the next few days. We were well looked after by the staff. Had Sunday lunch roast there which was tops and another mid day meal the following day. Highly recommended.

Visited here before the Fulham - Everton game. Very handy for Putney Bridge tube station and a 15 minute walk along the Thames to Craven Cottage. Friendly and efficient service with good value pub food and beers. Was away fans only. Good place to meet up before the match. Proper old pub that looks like it would be a nice place for a pint on non match days too.

Stopped for a quick lunch on our walk round Fulhm today. The pub was cosy and our food was tasty and very good value for money. Service was excellent.

Came to watch the Bournemouth v Fulham match and have to say the bar staff were amazing. Very efficient and friendly. Went back after the match and were made to feel so welcome by the locals. A very friendly and efficient pub, chips were great too!

Lovely home cooked Sunday lunch

The most hospitable and friendly staff I’ve encountered in a long long while. Great atmosphere, friendly locals and simply tremendous staff - added bonus of excellent food and generosity portioned. Considering our family have been staying locally for somber reasons, the environment created as well as excellent selection of drinks on draft have allowed us to come together and relax and laugh. Cannot thank your staff enough for the way we were welcomed and treated.

Proper Pub in my opinion. Fairly small pub beside Putney Bridge tube station which still manages to maintain a traditional old fashioned pub charm both in terms of look and atmosphere. Great range of lager and ales served by very proficient and extremely pleasant bar staff. Appears to have the support of many regulars which is good to see. Would give this great pub 10 stars if I could.

One of the best burgers I've ever had which was completely unexpected, great pub.

We had a delicious dinner there the other night and had their pie of the day and bangers and mash. Both were very good and definitely would go back. They have a small menu but I like that as it usually means that the meals are really good, and it was! You might want to make reservations as it is very small and popular with the locals. Well worth going to.

Don't get down this way much but always make a point of having one (or two in this case) here when I do. Just got a lovely warm friendly feeling about the place.

Went there last Friday, nice beer and a lovely sandwich.went on Saturday and was screamed at by a doorman to use the other door, when I went to the other door he screamed "other pub". From what I can work out the pub was full of Football fans and not open to the general public. Went back on Sunday ordered two sandwiches and we were told no sandwiches on Sunday. At that point we left.Gave them 2 stars as the Friday experience was good, Saturday was shocking.Sunday was laughable....
