Absolutely amazing pub! New management is incredible very supportive & will cater to every need. Food is absolutely delicious ranging from breakfast to dinner & even Sunday dinners. Lots of events happening so make sure to keep updated through their Facebook page so you don’t miss out!

The eight bells has been taken over by new management and wow.. the food did not disappoint. All food is locally sourced and you can 100% tell the difference! We ordered the burger and the wings. The burger came with Mac and cheese and fries and the meat was cooked perfectly. The wings were the perfect size and crispyness- we ordered 20 and we would definitely get more. Cannot wait to come back and try more of what’s on this fantastic menu. Staff are kind and the garden is great.

Came here for the first time. Great vibes with other punters and the live band was a fab touch. The food was absolutely banging, 10/10 for sure. We will be back!!

Fantastic new menu, food was 10/10. Good service with a local and friendly atmosphere, a great open fire and outside fire pit too. Certainly recommend the Eight Bells!

The food is amazing, especially the roast dinners! Very friendly vibes, everyone gets on and has a laugh. The service at the bar is fast aswell 👍

New management and now the place is a absolute tip, landlords just ignored me and were very rude

Nice pub, good central location, car parking and friendly staff but improvements could be made on the food side of the business. More of a focus please on quality, menu offering (no childrens menu or even a price reduction for a smaller portion), some allergy friendly options and generally better presentation would make the food served memorable for good reasons and encourage repeat visits.

Had lunch here as we saw the pub was under new management. Great menu and portions, helpful and attentive staff. Definitely worth a visit.

Friendly country pub with a large play area for kids

No wheelchair access and not very helpful so didn't go in.

Straight forward pub grub freshly cooked. Super service. They opened for our walking group. Everyone enjoyed the Eight Bells!

We didn't eat here so can't score the evening food but can the breakfast. We stayed two nights here. Staff were very friendly, the whole venue seamed clean and tidy. I would suggest if booking a room to ask for one that doesn't back onto the courtyard drinking area as all you can hear is the people enjoying themselves while you try and sleep. Also we now know that if you are in the courtyard that you can hear every work people are saying inside the rooms. Room was ok except the bed was very creaky as was the floor. Going for a pee in the night without waking the wife appeared to be a self made scene from mission impossible to get there without making a sound. Shower head needed changing as it was leaking everywhere and sprayed a fine mist rather than shower of water. So- I would go again to eat or drink but not stay. Rooms are a bit overpriced for what they offer. In my opinion.

Great to see this village pub is open again just lets hope it stays that way! Always used to be the heart of this lovely village served good food and beer to the surrounding area. On this occasion was greeted by a somewhat unengaging/ disinterested bar person in a cropped T shirt with bare midriff showing (not very professional) however the food served was excellent.

Popped in for a coffee and food on the way back from Norfolk. Poor young girl serving the bar couldn't operate the coffee machine. Eventually I got a half cup of lukewarm cappuccino and not much more in the latte glass. Cost us £7 for the displeasure ! It took ages to get them because she was also serving a large table their food. After that we didn't bother with food. Not great service or value tbh.

Eaten here twice. Good food, could be hotter but it is good solid food. Service is very friendly but can be slow. We will eat here again and it had the feel of a real village pub. Good, but not outstanding. Reasonably priced.

We really enjoyed lunch here today. It has been recently renovated and has been sympathetically achieved, whilst keeping the traditional quirks of an old country pub. The staff were fantastic, very attentive and accomodating for our three toddlers. The food was very tasty, good portions (we all want to feel full!!) and really reasonably priced. We had several different pies (done properly!) as well as the fish n chips. Also came with plenty of veg. Highly recommend!

Had a lovely experience. Food was amazing had the mediterran pizza, the filling was generous and the taste was excellent. If you want modern chic, then the decor is not for you. I liked it a bit old style, it was clean and food was great, plus staff very friendly.

Fabulous pub visited on a drab December day but inside was warm and welcoming with a roaring log fire. Food menu is varied and the food was well presented and delicious. The draft beers Greene King Abbott, IPA and Doom Bar were excellent.

What a 'hidden gem', and only 'hidden' because with the quality of the meal I've just experienced: Gordon bloody Ramsey (yes, he of the potty mouth!) could be running it! But he's not, it's in little ol' Abbotsley! I had duck breast (any meal with the word 'breast' gets my vote!), and the dauphinoise, and the gravy, was astonishing! Cider's great too! Oh, and the bar staff! (especially 'Lucy in the Sky'!). No cheques were harmed in the posting of this review. What a night!

Fantastic pub, wonderful atmosphere and friendly service. The food was incredible and at a great price too! The singing chef made it a much more relaxed visit! Definitely want to return again.
