We walked through initially as a quick way to get to the other side, as we entered there’s lots of seating and an assortment of street food restaurants and a bar, all reasonably priced. The toilets were all clean, fresh and well stocked.

Came for quiz and love to support this local venue but it is very cold despite heating on. Heating is very noisy and so it was turned off during quiz. One door in and out would help as too many doors make it very cold indeed as it is on the sea front. It will be fine in the summer months.

Only attend these winter events to keep the place from closing otherwise not the best atmosphere for a night out. Warmer weather coming!!!’ Went to The Quiz last night and Toby made it fun.Need to verify questions as Beethoven is not Austrian but German! Need only one door in and out as every time somebody goes out the door it lets the very very cold air in from the sea front. Heating had to be turned off while quiz on as could not hear quizmaster otherwise so the place got very cold quickly. Well done to all trying their best to keep the tills full.

This is a lovely building that provides a warm spot for a cold beer in the winter. Coffee is also good and there are a range of street food options to explore as well.

Went to the Big Quiz tonight, and although it was warmer inside than last time I visited, at night, the quiz was a disappointment as the answers were not given at half time so as to stop cheating. There were several people using their phones whilst the quiz was on. No mention by the quizmaster, Harry, for people to turn their phones off at the start of the quiz. Note for future! The food, purchased from Taaz, was delicious and well worth the £5,99 for a chicken korma with a samosa, onion bhaji and pilar rice. The coffee martinis smelled wonderful and looked very inviting!!!!!

Stopped by here with friends last week while parked up by the seafront & it was lovely - we had a drink from the bar, purchased some tasty local grub from pop up food huts, got some fab pics & had a good chat with the manager who seemed a really nice & genuine guy. All the staff in this place were very friendly & welcoming for that matter too. Impressed with the bathroom facilities as well as they were really clean & hygienic which isn't always the case. Being in the winter now it was quite quiet when we arrived but upon leaving a good hour or so later it was busier. This place is probably packed in the summer months with more going on such as live music & more food options along with more tourists. We were really glad we found the pavilion and decided to check it out. Thanks to all the staff.

We had a chicken tikka masala and a chicken tikka box, the young man in the food kiosk couldn't read the menu and also charged us too much. When the food came, it was not the best looking, died bright red rice in an over sweet sauce, and the cucumber salad having gone translucent as it had sat for so long, wasn't able to finish. Atmosphere was poor considering how much was charged for the food, lino floor, scrapy metal chairs. Poor Old Lowestoft, I try to support new ventures but I won't be going back. As we left we walked past Iconics, it was full, the food was cheaper and looked much better. Grim

Fantastic chicken tikka masala. Authentic & wonderful. Thank you. It’s a shame about the walk to the pier. It’s not the greatest experience.

Came across this lovely place on a very windy and grey day. A sea of tranquility and brightness! We had a flavored hot chocolate and a cappuccino. My husband and I agreed that they were amongst the best drinks we’d ever had! Very impressed by how clean everywhere was, including the toilets.

East Point Pavilion has been a bit of a mess in the last few years, but it has now been transformed into an area serving alcohol and street food (both work for me), we both had Mexican food Tres Hermanas and it was delicious, the table area is constantly being monitored by a cleaner sweeping up after messy eaters so it is very clean place to eat, the toilets are also spotless. Well done to all concerned, and we will certainly be back to try a different stall next time.............and of course Oktoberfest.

We had a late lunch here, it was delicious. To be honest I could have eaten from any of the stalls and been happy, lots of good choice. The bar sold interesting beer and the staff were friendly. I will come back again as it was a nice experience. Please use this venue it is good for Lowestoft, we are lucky to have it.

East Point Pier - Lowestoft To get to East Point Pier, the walk along the seafront prom is wonderful, in our opinion, THE BEST PART OF LOWESTOFT! I walk with the aid of a walker so it’s imperative that pavements are level and undamaged, and the whole stretch of Lowestoft promenade is brilliant. We walked down to East Point Pier from our hotel at the top of the hill which took us a good while, but it was a fab walk in the sunshine with a number of benches to rest looking out to sea. There are a few bars to stop off for a drink and a few kiosks to enjoy an ice lolly or a donut (or two 😂). East Point Pier is a large undercover area, which was easy to get around with my walker. Too many attractions nowadays are so crammed with lots of tables and chairs making it difficult for me and those with wheelchairs/buggys to get around, but there’s plenty of space inside here. They have music playing inside and there are a number of kiosks for different foods and a bar too - which was much TOO expensive for us to have a drink! Unfortunately for us the place just didn’t have a relaxed atmosphere, it felt very much like a school canteen inside - PTSD!!!!! So we didn’t stay!! I needed to use the disabled toilet which you’re only supposed to access with a radar key, but it was open for all to use and there was NO toilet paper in either side of the double dispenser!!!!!! Others have said how nice the non disabled toilets are, so I guess the disabled ones aren’t really at the top of their list to keep clean and topped up with toilet paper! The whole Pier/Pavillion area absolutely stank of sewage on both days we were there with a septic tank truck making an almighty racket for what seemed like forever! The acrid stench filled the air, perhaps this should be done at night when it’s not so busy during the holidays. Unfortunately Lowestoft Town Centre let’s the whole area down! It is disgusting! It’s really run down, most of the shops are shut and the council have allowed the seagulls to completely take over, roosting above most of the shops, so there’s masses AND I MEAN MASSES of poop EVERYWHERE. Why hadn’t anything been done about it for the start of the 6 weeks holidays?! Shop Doorways literally look like they’ve had huge cans of white paint poured all over the place and IT ABSOLUTELY STINKS TO HIGH HEAVEN!!! You would think perhaps the food/take-away shops would clean up outside their doorways to entice people in if the council aren’t going to bother, but NO, It truly is DISGUSTING!!! As I mentioned at the top of this review, Lowestoft’s Saving Grace is it’s Promenade and Beach. It’s worth going to visit just for that!

Just was needed! A friendly & relaxed place to eat great food and drink, all in a light, airy environment complete with sea views & potted plants. The music is great at weekends too. Whether going alone, in a small group or, as did this week in a group of 20 aged 2-75, I’ve found it just works for all ages & abilities. The accessible toilet deserves a special mention it’s so well thought out! Bravo!!

Lowestoft's answer to street food. It's not large but there are good choices of quality food and some decent ales on sale. Food cost is about average, drinks are a bit expensive. We've been a few times and intend to return.

Good choice of delicious food, friendly staff and clean pleasant facilities. Looks across the North Sea with a beautiful stretch of sandy beach wonderful for families to enjoy. Lowestoft now needs to address their town centre which although has some beautiful architecture, plenty of restaurants and great shops, has a dreadful problem with nesting seagulls. Unfortunately this detracts from the whole experience of visiting this area as many buildings are defaced with 'guano' and smell strongly of rotting fish!

To waste some time before checking in to our hotel we decided to park up & have a little walk along the beach & along to the lifeboat station. We then decided to have a afternoon drink where we decided to try here. We had a warm welcome & ordered our drinks which were then delivered to our table shortly afterwards. The drinks were good & there seemed to be plenty of seating as I expect it gets very busy in the summer & is close to the beach.

From the outside the East Point Pavilion, situated opposite the South Pier, doesn't look very inviting. However inside is a nicely decked out coffee and ice cream shop. The service is great with a friendly smile. cold drinks and scoups of posh had a cream in interesting flavours are available as well as down excellent lattes cappuccinos etc and very nice cake. And they even serve soya milk, which I found hard to find in Lowestoft. You can really enjoy your got or cold drink overlooking the pier and beach, either sitting in the pleasant surroundings inside out of the wind or outside in the sunshine. Hubby loves his coffee but doesn't normally have latte, well he's now converted! Can highly recommend this coffee and ice cream shop.

I was really shocked by the rudeness of the person who served me today. I needed an itemised receipt because I can claim back through the company I work for.Unfortunately an itemised receipt is not available so I asked the lady to write the 2 milkshakes and 2 cakes and the price on the back of the receipt. She snatched the card receipt out of my hand, clearly annoyed at my request and scribbled my order on the back with no price details.
