The Earn Coffee Shop in Perth & Kinross

Lovely place but……..! Shown to our booked table- just as we sat down at 1030 waitress said your table is booked again for half 12 and breakfast finishes at 11. Ordered and enjoyed food but perhaps not the first thing you should say to customers!

My wife and I drove out to the Earn cafe for lunch, having had very good meals there before with a high standard of service from the staff. It was only after we parked and walked up to the front door that we saw a sign saying they were closed on Dec 11th so that their hard working staff could have a wee dance. Now I can understand that Christmas staff celebrations are a good thing, but there was no indication on the website or on the roadside sign that the place was closed. Others turned up while we were there only to make the same discovery. Are we expected to phone every time we decide to pop in for lunch to check whether an unadvertised closure is in effect? Why couldn’t the staff event have taken place on one of the week days when they are closed? We are still angry about this. This has soured our impression of the place. This incident did lead to us visiting the Jamesfield cafe instead, where we are more likely to go in future.

Popped in after a wee mountain bike session on a feeezing cold Sunday afternoon. Warm, welcoming and great coffee with a raspberry ripple brownie that was fantastic - best I’ve ever tasted 😋

Popped in for lunch today. Welcoming, friendly, efficient staff in spacious premises just outside Bridge of Earn. We had a pork special and a steak special. Both were tasty and nicely presented. Portions were extremely generous. Good to have a blether and catch up with Glen👍👍

Our family went for lunch, food and service were very good. We all had sandwiches and all chose to add a cup of soup. This is where we felt let down, £2.85 for quarter of a cup of soup bordered in daylight robbery. Definitely would not do that again.

I’m a regular at the Earn Coffee Shop and use it for work, socialising and family meetings. The setting and parking are excellent as is the welcome and service by staff. It’s dog friendly too and as long as your dog isn’t too barky there is never an issue. The quality of food is superb, prices are just right with attentive staff close at hand. It really is as good as it sounds and why I frequent regularly 😃

I stopped in for a very random coffee pit stop. Lovely coffee shop and great coffee but most importantly, the staff were fantastic. I had a couple of issues with my card payment but the staff were so great. I didn’t catch the servers name but she had cool tattoos. A lovely local lady even offered to buy my coffee if the card wouldn’t work (it eventually did). Very glad I came in and will definitely stop in again.

Very attentive service with lots of options. Our daughter has dairy allergy and they were really helpful with suggestions for her. Lunch was lovely, we had ciabatta, loads of steak in the steak and onion and the coronation chicken was lovely. Decided to go for cake, also yummy + Bean Shop coffee (well-known in Perth). Will definitely return!

Read the reviews online and decided to give it a try. So glad we did as this place is amazing. The food was perfectly presented and tasted wonderful. The Thai chicken salad which was recommended by Janet was devoured slowly by my wife who did not want the dish to finish. All the food that came out to the outdoor section looked fantastic and the views were worth a visit. Cannot speak highly enough about the friendliest service I have experienced in years. Janet requires a special mention as she was so friendly and full of smiles throughout our visit. Cannot wait to return. PS. Ginger beer is not to be missed🥂

The coffee shop is beautiful with breathtaking views in every direction. The breakfast was delicious especially the fruit so fresh and flavorful. The staff is delightful!! Very friendly and fun to chat with! Wonder food, atmosphere and people!!

We stopped here for a quick coffee, having done a Google search as we were travelling along the M90. So glad we did!! At 12 noon, the place was almost full, and it's easy to see why. Excellent coffee and scones, the lunches being brought out to other people looked delicious, and the menu looked so good. Most of all though, the staff were without exception, hard-working, on the ball, smiling, and proficient. This coffee shop had a real buzz, it looked like the place locals bring their friends for lunch. There's also a lounge section with lower comfy chairs next to a community library - leave a book, take a book. It's a mile detour off the M90 travelling North to South, and we will be making this detour again, hopefully timing it for lunch next time.

I have seen so many different owners try to make a success of this little gem of a local coffee shop over the years - all with varying levels of success so when new owners took it over just before the pandemic hit us, I really despaired for them. The transformation they have brought about is nothing short of miraculous and if ever there was an example of how to get it right then here it is! The restaurant is light and airy and beautifully fitted out with furnishings that complement the idyllic rural setting in which it finds itself. The staff are utter perfection in everything they do to make the mostly local (and mostly elderly) lunch guests feel valued and have a very positive experience. But the food! Absolutely perfect for this clientele and beautifully prepared and presented from a lovely menu with a such wide choice and a 'Specials' board offering the best of seasonal enhancements to it. Nothing pleases me more - in a most peculiar way - to find out that I cannot get a table for lunch as the restaurant is fully booked. Most days when I am lucky enough to have lunch here the room is busy and bustling and lively like I have never seen here before. The quality of the food is quite exceptional too. The chef has a total understanding of what his local clientele wants and he delivers it to the highest of levels with a pride and a passion that makes this place the huge success it has turned out to be. Home baking also features significantly in what they do here and I can only describe it as 'totally wonderful'. We read regularly about how much trouble the hospitality sector is in due to the double whammy of coming out of the pandemic and now facing recession. If we could just bottle the formula which the owners of The Earn Coffee Shop have used to turn this restaurant into the huge success which it is, and which it rightly deserves to be, we would all be incredibly wealthy. This is a local success story which is to be hugely applauded and respected. PS - Oh and I just remembered - it is dog friendly too which is absolutely wonderful.

The Earn Cafe, Bridge of Earn is an excellent place to go for pleasant surroundings, good coffee, food and service. The staff are friendly and efficient, the baking is delicious and the prices reasonable. Highly recommended.
