Lovely friendly staff. Even at busy times the staff remained really focused & served people with a smile. Drinks are very reasonably priced & I will become a regular.

small local pub with a great range of drinks , but what makes the eagle special is the atmosphere that starts with the new landlady and extends to staff and customers alike. with fantasic live music events all through the year reccomended

Great pub, brilliant staff with regular music and events, inside and in garden. A fantastic atmosphere everyone is like family and welcoming including the staff.

Nice friendly and clean local. Much better than the Bell pub braintree. Worth that little walk. No kids running around with drunk parents.

The Eagle has been long overdue a refurbishment - with the past few weeks seeing a general bush up, painting and cleaning (it's clean now) it's once again worthy of a visit for a few beers. Even the signage outside has been repaired and replaced - god that old missing E really stuck out and showed a lack of care in the past. Hope the standards are maintained. The beer and service is great.

Hemos estado aquí varias veces como miembros de nuestra familia. La cena asado es siempre delicioso. Es el tipo de cena que no importa cómo llenos que te quieren terminar cada poco. Todos los productos frescos. La persona que prepara esta comida debe ser mostrando otros lugares cómo está hecho. Si estás buscando un pragmático buena cena antiguo pub de moda, este es el lugar. El personal es amable educado y muy bien organizado. Van un poco más para asegurarse de que están contentos. Puede tomar cualquiera aquí para la cena. Tiene un ambiente relajado.

El eagle tiene ahora reanudaron su menú de comida, mi marido y yo fuimos el domingo por un asado, nos dejó en el viernes antes de hacerles saber sobre mi dieta maridos como él tiene una condición llamada chylothorax. Después de explicar que él podría no grasa en su comida, se desvivieron para servirnos un delicioso almuerzo de domingo sin grasa junto con el postre. Fue increíble. Tanto así que ya he reservado para ir cada domingo. Además, a un precio muy razonable. Seguid así!

Deliciosa sopa de cebolla con pan tostado francés cursi y tostadas, seguido por un café con leche. Comimos en el bar aunque el restaurante parecía bueno, pero que lo único que queríamos era un aperitivo.

Nice old fashioned pub with friendly customers , friendly staff with lovely landlady who knows how to cook the best Sunday roast at a bargain price , also available tues/wed . Recommend .

Braintree's best kept secret! Beautiful sunday lunch and weekday lunch/dinner. Great value. Great portion size. Must book and order before hand as its really busy and this is how they keep the prices so low. Well worth a visit!
