Very friendly. Great solo singer when we were there. Didn't eat, so I can't comment on the food.

I saw a sign on the main road and decided to take a look, nice little pub it was early in the day so just me in there serve by what looked like the family member who'd been left while everyone else was out nice enough guy and enjoyed my drinks, people came and went got the impression it's a fine friendly family boozer regards the food will have to return to try some and see which is what I intended to do soon after walking through the door

Happened to pop in in passing. Cask ales which were nice. At the time I visited they had a selection from triple f brewery. As a Cask Marque pub these were spot on. They also happened to have had a BBQ on as well for the August Bank Holiday weekend. You could buy in for a set price. The pub itself is a bit hidden out they way. I'm surprised the local authority hasn't put up a sign from the main road! The pub itself is bright and airy and also supports the Veterans Foundation. A wonderful combination.

We attended a BBQ at The Eagle Pub on Father's Day and had an exceptional experience. The music was fantastic, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. The staff, including the owner, were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the day even more special. I had a non-alcoholic drink served with a glass of ice, and the bottle was perfectly chilled. The attention to detail was evident, and it was clear that the staff cared about providing top-notch service. The pub itself was clean, tidy, and had a very inviting feel. Overall, The Eagle Pub delivered an outstanding experience with excellent service, a welcoming environment, and great vibes. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning!

Really friendly local pub...the pizzas are amazing, beer great the landlady has a Cask Marque accreditation, so beer very good. Come and pay a visit!

Didn't have food, I'm sure I will soon Another pub that has been forgotten but very great atmosphere and friendly pub. Went there the first time on a night out and made I clear I will be back. Dog friendly, large breed, and adorable 😍! Other dogs are around all friendly as well. Karaoke machine and everyone involved. Again, it is a friendly atmosphere and will be there again

The pub has recently been taken over and has had some decorating work done inside. It's cosy, welcoming, and has friendly, attentive staff, I look forward to visiting again

I'm not a regular, but they always have a nice selection of ales, such as theakstons old peculiar. And the food is great value. Well worth a visit.

We have just discovered The Eagle and it is however local to where we live, it's very friendly and welcoming and the food is amazing, fantastic for what we now class as our local 😀 Extremely happy 😊

Had a brilliant night here, spent with family playing pool and darts. Very clean and bar staff very helpful and friendly.

Just received my roastie at short notice, which was lovely but sadly the cauliflower cheese I ordered wasn't there sadly as I love that from here. Ordered lemon meringue was squashed. I didn't phone as it was a very windy day so I didn't want to bother anyone. The food we did have was very nice thank you. I highly recommend and would go there again. xx

Wouldn't change a thing here! We opted to come here for lunch on a saturday and weren't dissapointed. Extremely friendly staff opened the back gate so we could wheel the little ones into their lovely, atmospheric beer garden. High quality food served with a smile. Can't wait to come back for a lovely summer evening.

We visited The Eagle for the first time yesterday and soon felt welcomed into the relaxed friendly atmosphere chatting with both staff and local customers. The premises are immaculately clean with a well kept garden to the rear. Well behaved dogs are also welcomed and catered for with fresh water and treats. We had only Intended to have a drink but reading the menu, and seeing other customer's meals brought out, tempted us to order for ourselves. The food (chilli with nachos and cheese and mushroom and pepper stroganoff in a creamy garlic and paprika sauce with rice and garlic bread) was amazing, really tasty and freshly cooked to order. We'd highly recommend The Eagle and look forward to visiting again.

Visited this lovely pub yesterday. The three of us all had a lovely meal each. Really friendly pub tucked away just off Stoke Road. What can I say, this is how pubs should be. We had a great time, and we will return again soon. Highly recommended

If I could give 6 stars I would.What was a basic back street boozer 10 years ago....is now transformed into a fantastic friendly pub and more in 2022. I only popped in for a quick pint remembering they served Courage Best Bitter in 2012. Now four ales are on offer, and a decent make over inside and out clearly with good money spent on the pub to bring this lovely establishment up to date definitely worth checking out. A friendly welcome was had, Old Speckled Hen poured but the choice was from 4 ales, and free juke box on offer today secured our stay. Then we realised food was served too so after smelling the delicious dishes going to another table, we ordered chilli and tortillas and mushroom stroganoff with rice and both dishes were beyond good, home cooked tasty and plentiful and only £16. Another round of drinks to wash the food down, plenty of customers came in and we could have stayed for a few more but home was calling back in Southsea. Great staff, the locals were friendly, good beer and excellent food. I wish I lived nearer. Ps the garden was amazing to and dog friendly with free dog snacks and water.

A second visit to the Eagle on Sunday, friendly and welcoming. We didn't eat there but the food smelled amazing and they had a lot of returning customers which speaks for itself

Doombar was off and did not taste right si had Boon Doggle instead. Had a steak with chips coleslaw and onion rings which was very nice and hot.

Had a lovely family lunch here today, food was lovely, hot and large portions, excellent value for money. Emma and Paul make everyone feel welcome, highly recommend stopping in for either a drink or a bite to eat.

OK, used to be my favourite pub but lost its way recently

I had a wonderful roast dinner after rememberance Sunday parade. There were 7 of us, all our meals came out hot and there was plenty of it. All of us too full for dessert. Lovely atmosphere and great service by all. Thank you so much for ending our day with such a nice meal.
