Beautiful and quaint pub with a real fireplace burning. The staff are all so lovely too. We booked a dog friendly table, and it was great to see there was fresh water in a bowl and treats for our dog upon arrival. 4 stars because our order was lost and we waited an 1 hour for our food to arrive. I had the lamb shoulder and it was overcooked and hard, but the vegetables and mash were nice. We were not offered any discount for the long delay in our order.

4 of us booked as a pre race team dinner. A very warm welcome from the team. A good selection of ales behind the bar and a very busy bar and restaurant signified a good evening ahead and we were not disappointed. I personally couldn't get past the first items on the menus as they were so appetising. Lamb Suet pudding to start was amazing. 16oz Tomahawk Pork chop was superb with all the trimmings. Finished off with Steamed Victoria Sponge and custard.... what a meal. Everything had great flavour and served with a lot of laughs amongst our team and with the staff. Will be putting the Dysart Arms on my favourite list. And all of which is set in a beautiful village that warrants a wander around in the daylight. Thank you for a great evening ❤️

Great service, great location. However, the food was a bit disappointing. The Sunday lunch roast beef was quite tough and was difficult to cut. Probably a one off, but nevertheless it spoilt the dining experience.

Mother’s Day 1 year ago was absolutely outstanding. This year the quality hit rock bottom. Fatty chewy beef with Luke warm hard pre cooked roasties. Absolute bloody rip off. A tremendous shame as normally we don’t have bad service or food here. This is the first time I’ve travelled the 60 mile round trip to be met with crap quality food. Won’t ever come here again for a social event such as Mother’s Day as you cannot cope with a busy service. Great when it’s not busy but today you royally let us down.

Great location, great premises, great ambience, a great varied menu, and great service LET DOWN on this occasion by the luke-warm temperature of most of the food served - including the French fries which didn’t taste freshly cooked & tasted like they’d been sat under a warmer for half an hour..

Walked in for the first time and was completely ignored by the staff and proprietor as a family as regulars were behind me. They were seated first and made a fuss of whilst I was left hanging around the entrance. Two other regulars were using foul language in the dining area and no staff members challenged them just kept chatting with them on the way through. Noticeably frosty service form the proprietor all evening.

A special trip from Wilmslow for a lovely afternoon out with my hubby. We love, love, love this place. Every time we come we get such a warm and lovely feeling. The staff are superb, the food is delicious and there are alway several things I find hard to choose between on the menu! We had mushroom and parsnip soup, wild boar pie and cider and cheese pie. All sooooo tasty 👌🏼 , followed by a small pudding and hot chocolate and a coffee. So scrumptious❤️ Thank you to everyone there. You really do run such a special place and work so hard. Shame we couldn't stay all day but we had a fairly long journey home in the dark due to the time of year😒, but we'll be back again (not on a Friday next time so we can use our vouchers 😜) We didn't have to book, but we phoned up just in case. If it had been a weekend I would advise booking, but they are very accommodating I’m sure they'd fit you in somehow even if they were busy. My husband just said "Don't give too good a review or it'll get too busy!"😄😄😄

A relaxed pub or with non pub food but a varied changing menu from fish and chips, posh steak roll, game pie and much more. There is also a kids menu or you can ask for a main meal but for bigger children. It was the first place I've had rabbit, pigeon and dog... Just seeing if you're still reading. Speaking of dogs they are very dog friendly for well behaved dogs in the bar area or outside.id recommend skipping a starter and going for the cheese board to finish. It's wise to book during busy periods, but you always try the bar small plates in the bar area as well as the main menu. An interesting thing of note that you don't see often is the setting left open for a passing stranger to always be welcoming. Then there's the impressively imposing well kept church right there. Vicar is very friendly and down to earth.

Really off their game today, “it” just didn’t happen, bearing in mind we regard The Dysart as the best B&P on the books (we have been to most of them throughout the UK), so hopefully a one off. This, our Wedding anniversary, many of which have been at The Dysart, was an overwhelming feeling that the Chief was on holiday (or on something). No Steak (What!) apparently there was a run at the weekend, amazing considering Britain is broken. Prawn starter still arrives with toasted bread that lacks the capacity to mop up those important juices. Chicken Liver pate was OK, but tired in presentation. Blade of beef came with some overpowering tomato concoction, which was very unpleasant. The B&P signature Crispy beef was overall “Hot Chilli”, again really not what you would expect. The three Stars are totally based on many previous visits, we hope this isn’t the start of the end, bring back Dot, all is forgiven!

Not the biggest of pubs, but a gem none thr less. The good has never been anything other than excellent every time I have been and the roasts are excellent. We went as a large family group of 12 (with 4 younger children) and they were more than happy to accommodate us. The only downside of this pub is the very small car park, so depending on the time of your visit, you may need to park by the church, but this is only a couple of minutes walk. The great thing about Brunning and Price pubs is that they do gastro pubs so well. You know you will get decent food, it's not too pricy and the surroundings are always nice. There is usually always plenty of choice for food and drink and it is very easy to cater for people with restrictive diets.
