The Duck Truck in Tower Hamlets

I've enjoyed the Duck Trucks duckfat fried chips many times when visiting Spitalfield Market. Yesterday, for the first time I went to their permanent restaurant in Lamb Road. I enjoyed the big box deal. Amazing value. The halloumi duck wrap was lovely, and the chips were, as ever, super. I'm really looking forward to going again.

I was so looking forward to eating here because of the great reviews. I only had the crispy duck wrap. It was absolutely crammed with duck meat and was a large parcel of a wrap. Unfortunately there was absolutely no crispness at all. As a result it was very fatty and felt slimy in the mouth. As a result I could only eat half of it which, at £10, was expensive waste. I think I was just unlucky one the day, as there are too many great TA reviews for this to be a typical experience. If I was eating there again I would ask them to ensure that the fat is cooked through.

Excellent food van in a very popular area. Surrounded by other food outlets this stands out and the smell is amazing. Understand this was the original site of the pub of the same name

I have been to the Old Spitalfield Market many times and somehow I always miss out on the Duck Truck. Finally the truck was opened after doing some shopping nearby. I ordered the meal deal for the Crispy Duck Wrap with fries and choice of soft drinks. The Crispy duck wrap was delicious and I love the fact that there were plenty of duck meat. The meat remains moist and the Hoisin sauce was a perfect match. I will definitely return again in the future!

Stopped for a bite to eat & couldn’t resist choosing the Duck Salad. Didn’t have to wait long at all. I choose to have an extra sauce added, Sriracha. Tastiest Duck Salad I’ve ever had!!

I went out of my way whilst visiting London to stop and have lunch here, after seeing it on BBC 2's Million Pound Menu! The food was delicious and the duck fat chips were to die for!! This was very close to the Aldgate East tube station, so easy to get to, and a simple walk from the station! The area was lovely too, it reminded me very much of Camden! The staff were very friendly, and were flattered that we visited after seeing them on TV. Great service, food and prices. Would highly recommend this place for lunch or a light dinner!

Was lucky enough to bump into the Duck Truck when I was exploring Spitalfields last year. Had the duck wrap and duck fat chips, OMG I was so glad that I did even though it was a freezing cold February day. The duck meat was so perfectly seasoned and with just right amount of hoisin sauce and salad, the rosemary company the duck fat chips perfectly. I basically have been dreaming of wrap for the entire year. Obviously I couldn't wait to indulge my tastebud this year and I was glad that I did. The wrap was as good as it was from memory and the duck fat chips were so crispy and the rosemary really brings out the amazing aroma & taste in the chips. Highly recommend to enjoy the meal in the garden across from the truck, it was so peaceful and yeah, no one will notice the mess that you're making :) A perfect, simply, mouth watering lunch and I can't wait to stuff more duck again on my next holiday to the UK.

Have a friend who kept raving about this food truck. When we ate there, we found out why. The duck is amazing-chips are fried in duck fat. Duck and chips had very generous portion. Duck wraps and duck Scotch egg were also really good. Plan to return on my next trip!

Had to try to see if it was as good as they were portraying it on tele - yes - enjoyed it - but there is a lot of street food choice at Old Spitalfields so we'll keep trying new things

I've walked past this place on many occasion, but never stopped by to try the food. After seeing the owner on, "My Million Pound Menu" tv show, I decided to give it a go. Not sure if it was the norm or my bad luck, but what I got for my £7 or £7.50 was a small duck sandwich with no fries (they cost extra). I don't expect perfection from a street vendor, but there was too much gristle and if you're going to put duck skin in a sandwich, it should be crispy, not soft and chewy.

Quite honestly the best chips I've eaten any where at any price. The duck pancake was lovely but the chips with rosemary salt were a real treat on a cold January day.

Honestly amazing duck wrap! Such great chips too! Portions are big so don't order too much! It is the best option in spitafields market for lunch!

Old Spitalfields Marketに屋台で出店していて、鴨肉が食べたくなったので買ってみました。ラップサンド は味的には北京ダックを巻いて食べている感じ。ところどころソースが濃く感じる部分もありましたが、総じてとても美味しかったです。辛いのが好きな人は、辛いソースをかけてもらうことも出来るので、その方が飽きずに最後まで食べられると思います。

Spotted this quirky street food vendor at the Old Spitalfields Markets and ordered a crispy hoisin duck wrap. The staff were pleasant and served us quickly making our wraps to order. It smelt amazing and the taste didn’t disappoint 😋

My wife and I recently enjoyed a 4 night stay in the Spitalfields area of London and came across The Duck Truck which competes with a line of other Street Food vendors alongside the famous Spitalfields Market. You can walk up and down taking in all the smells, but The Duck Truck got the edge and we ordered a Duck Salad and a Duck Brioche Bun. Served fresh in under 5 minutes, though admittedly we were there at opening time at 11 so were the first customers of the day, the food was absolutely incredible ! I’ve eaten a fair amount of duck in my time but there’s something special about this place. You can see the team running The Duck Truck are passionate about what they do and that’s important. We thought the super tasty food for quality and size of portion was good value for money for the area - I think £7 each, plus a £1 for a San Pellegrino which was good. We were thoroughly impressed with The Duck Truck so thanks for your hospitality. We hope to come back one day. Stuart & Susan x

Arrived to the duck truck by accident and the smell convince me to give it a try and I'm happy I did. The food is delicious, especially compared to other street food around London and the staff was very nice. Highly recommended!

Food was made quickly and tasted delicious. £10 for a duck wrap with chips, worth it! Card only payments, but that’s the same for most food vans.

A duck food truck at Spitafields Market. Lots of international food to choose from but because we really like duck we gave it a try and were not disappointed.

Had a duck wrap and chips. The chips were delicious however the duck wrap was fatty, not enough lean duck meat and abit unpleasant trying to consume fatty lumps, shame because it is tasty with hoisin sauce.

Their duck salad or duck wrap are FANTASTIC. Try the hot version for a little extra umph. Highly recommended, great value, and always happy team in the truck.

Pretty nice duck wrap with an Asian sauce and condiments. I am not a huge duck fan, but the duck was cooked to perfection, I would highly recommend any duck lovers to try this place!!! Both men in the booth were super friendly also.

We stumbled across The Duck Truck in Spitalfields Market and ordered the traditional duck wraps with duck fat chips. We can honestly say that this was one of the best street food experiences we have had in London. Truly delicious food!

The Duck Truck has the most amazing duck wraps which are sooo filling and delicious . I would recommend the Duck Truck at any event . The staff are so friendly and create a wonderful happy atmosphere.

It was so nice to come across somewhere selling something so different! The duck was delicious, you could tell that the ingredients were fresh and good quality. Cute little space and friendly staff too - will be back when we're next in the area.

The crispy duck wrap was a delicious, drippy, generous thing that certainly revived after browsing of the Spitalfields market, preceded by a late, well-lubricated night out. The chips were very crisp with good rosemary flavour.
