Awful experience. Asked if they could knock me up a vegan breakfast (they weren’t busy - even beans on toast would have sufficed) but was told I could have a vegan sausage roll. No thanks! In this day and age how arrogant to accommodate for gluten free etc but no option to even have hash browns, beans, tomatoes and mushrooms with toast. Easily done. But no! They have oat milk for tea though? - unbelievable. Cancelled my husbands full English as he didn’t want to eat in front of me. Ending up spending £9 on some toast for him and a tea and coffee. Now at the harvester about to polish off a vegan breakfast - much better service and way more accommodating. Avoid at all costs. Really quite upset about it but hey ho. Won’t be back but at least I can warn others.

I have been here several times in the past and loved it but since September it seems to have gone downhill. Hard baked potatoes, dirty tables and a smell of drains near the counter. I’m hoping things will improve as the Walled Gardens are a favourite place to go, usually rounded off by coffee or lunch.

Whilst waiting for a couple of D of E silver teams to complete their 3 day expedition in Purbeck at Moreton, we leaders needed some urgent sustenance close to the finish and found it at the Dovecote Cafe. Having missed breakfast, all 5 of us opted for the standard/small all day breakfast and had one of the best breakfasts we have had in many years of running our centre, possibly even "The best". Well done and thanks to the Dovecote team for the welcome and excellent food. Will try the cream teas next time;-)

We dropped in for lunch and very much enjoyed our fish and chips. Very good food, had the two mains for £20, and great coffee. Staff were friendly and helpful, and there was a great playlist coming from the kitchen. Great to hear employees laughing and obviously happy in their work.

31 Broad StreetExcellent Sunday roast, especially the roast beef. Have visited in the past and have enjoyed their roasts, but they have definitely up their game, with extra seasoning/tenderness of the meat. A proper thriving pub, bar one side, restaurant the other - a real treat to visit. Lovely staff too- very friendly. (Booking advised for food).

42 Great Western RoadWe ate here as a very large group with family and friends. The staff were really attentive and went above and beyond. The food was delicious, my mum ordered scampi but unfortunately there was an issue with the fryer, she was offered something else, she chose a steak and wasn't expected the pay the difference. Will definitely return. Thank you for a memorable evening.

14 The SquareCan't recommend this pub enough. Great garden dog friendly good value 👌 and excellent steak chips mushrooms tomatoes .goid value for money .and a. beautiful art gallery .where you can purchase local art .wooden sculptures of fossils schools of fish .very pleasedwith our art purchases .meal would definetly visit again .
