McDonald's in West Dorset

Parking mayhem. Nothing wrong with the staff or premises. Just crazy customers parking everywhere and even blocking others in

Very clean, good friendly staff, food was good and came out fast. Order perfectly correct including sauces which was a pleasant surprise as usually miss out the sauces that are ordered in many mcdonalds. Only issue going for them is carpark could do with being a bit bigger, apart from that this is a great mcdonalds

Tried to take advantage of a special Christmas offer on the app. Ordered hours before I got there. Logged in when I was there and it said there was a problem with my payment and to go inside. I was stood behind another lady who had tried to use the app too. Her parting comment was 'Why does the app never work here?'. The assistant manager shrugged and then walked off leaving me stood there like a spare part! Eventually another person came to help. I gave them the app reference and it didn't show up on their system. I showed the girl my phone and the assistant manager came out again to see what the trouble was - and then it became a total farce... Essentially, I walked out, without any food, after a 15min argument, with my phone saying one thing and them saying they had nothing to do with problems with the app. They wouldn't honour the special offer either. Total lack of customer service. I was made to feel like a total idiot so I chose to take my money elsewhere. I don't know what it is about this McDonald's but I've always felt like I'm doing them a favour every time I go in there. I usually avoid it and go to other McDonald's in the area. I should have done that this time too!

Very busy and popular stop for people travelling. The car park is awkward as it's so small. Food was served quickly though despite how busy it was.

Parking is terrible! Edit 30/10/24 Arrived just before 5pm, absolutely amazed to see a member of staff parking in the car park! With the lack of spaces, I'm very, very surprised this is allowed to happen!

Kept very clean staff were really on the ball ,fast and efficient. Only thing wasn't so good the side Exit door kept staying open not good on a windy wet day seating in that area was cold .

Cold chips, burger squashed with almost no onion, coffee cold. Car park too small for such a busy site.

Dont bother ordering from this restaurant everytime we order from here there's always something missing. Clearly they have no quality checks before being thrown out for delivery

Have visited Bridport Road on a few occasions set just off the roundabout towards Msrtinstown passing by. An interesting building for a McDonalds based on an older construction more like a former Happy Eater or Little Chef back in the day or perhaps it was a pub before. The sign outside indicates this. Always a busy McDonalds with good service and friendly atmosphere.

Is this the worst Macdonald's in the UK? Terrible limited parking, no drive through. Dirty, very very busy with 30 mins food wait times. Toilets grim. Most areas are unclean. Staff doing Their best in a busy , cramped over used environment that's not fit for purpose. This place needs rebuilding McDonald's! MC rib was so good after a nine year hiatus.

Parking is a big issue at busier times

It says 24hrs on a Saturday on the website. but it's a 6am every day

This is a very small MacDonalds. No drive through, and not a lot of seating. But as a quick stop and take away its OK. Sometimes the parking can be full too. The rest is good.

Current review: After avoiding this McDonald’s for some time I recently went in for a large takeaway order. I checked the order before leaving and it was all present and correct. The lady that served me was so cheerful and helpful, and even offered to help me to carry it to the car. I said there was a good vibe behind the counter, and she said it was a good team and they try to have fun, or something to that effect. A much better experience. I’ve updated to 5* based on that experience but left old review below for now, as the previous issues were consistent over several years. With consistent better service and getting orders right, will remove as will no longer be helpful. Parking is still a nightmare, but that won’t be changing! Previous 1* review: Sorry I’ll update when it improves but there is some work to do here. After many meals there is more often than not something missing, incorrect or poor quality in orders. We started visiting the Weymouth one but since we have moved it would have to be this one for takeaway. We’ve had missing dips, hot chocolate that’s like water, cold chips, cheeseburger with no cheese. Once we even had an entire different order. Today I even checked the whole order before I left and everything was there but when we got home I had a cup of murky water rather than hot chocolate and no dips (that were on the order). There needs to be some serious quality control training going on here. Parking also a nightmare and no drive thru.

Good food but packed as always very busy and hard to park.

Love a McDonlads, staff are very hard working here. Only downside is how busy the car park is, it's always a struggle to get a spot, this MD's is only accessable by car as there is no footpath to it. I bet they loose buisness for this reason... perhaps they could expand and have a drive through as they are in the perfect spot for those traveling to major connections ie Exeter and Bristol

Had delivery, meant to have 4 sauces had none! Food all cold... burger just chucked together. Very poor

Parking is awful, have forgotten my mozzy sticks many times, probably wouldnt go here if there was a closer maccies. service is usually quick though.

We pop in to this McDonald's a few times each year on our way to and on our way back from the West Country. I have to say, it's the cleanest Maccy d's I've ever been to with great customer service from Ian and the rest of the staff. We always know we are going to get great service and a great coffee when we visit. Only negative is it could do with a few more parking spaces.

Wasn't an option, but the prices here are just absolutely incredbile! I've always been tight on money being a college student, and yet I can come here and spend less than a fiver on a filling lunch! Only thing I would say is accessibility, being on a roundabout made it quite difficult to get to as a non driver, but I managed it! Would say get a bus route to stop outside for people who don't want to cross multiple dual carriageways though!

Stopped here for the first time. They ran out of Big Macs! It was chaos, car park full and cars parked everywhere, we got blocked in. Ladies toilet smelt strongly of urine. It was not clean. Not sure we would come back.

Had a staff member called olliver sort me out the till with a dietary restriction good service and polite dude is good at his job

Big mac was disgusting🤢 dry no sauce and pickles dried up ordered chocolate shake got vanilla disgusting been trying to order the grimace shake always unavailable if your promoting something for a limited time have plenty in stock 😡

Only down fall was the wasps that were flying around inside the store. When you have young children it's not an enjoyable situation. The staff didn't seem bothered about the wasps.

Best Maccies I’ve ever visited. Chips and food always hot and fresh probably because it is so busy! Despite being the busiest Maccies in all of Christendom, the staff are always happy, helpful, and quick to serve.

We ordered 2 Double quarter pounders and we’re so big so juicy. Amazing experience in there. Only one thing I would change is car park- Not enough space but apart of this everything we’re so fresh and yummy

Not many Mcs have a view (If you can get a stool by the window). Nice staff and you are all familiar with the menu. There is some seating outside.

A man called Clayton was ready to take my order and even took the time to French kiss every part of my burger to make sure I had a personal experience, if you’re reading this clay, I love you please come back home the children miss you.

Worst McDonald's in the country. Can never get in, always packed with kids parties, inadequate parking. Not even going to bother stopping here any more.

Probably one of the better McDonald's around. Parking can be slightly painful at busy times, but manageable.

Food was the usual breakfast fayre but unfortunately no hot drinks were available owing to machine breakdowns from the previous day. Imagine McMuffin with no coffee 😳😉 . First world problems eh.

Bog standard Maccys, I got what i paid for. What was supposed to be hot was hot. The cold was cold. It could've been quicker as there weren't many people there. But fast food is just food nowadays. So, as you'd expect.

It's got to be the top contender for the worlds smallest mcdonalds! It reminded me of christmas round my nans house, where you have some stranger on your lap that you could be related to and you're not sure if your uncle accidentally has his hand so high up your thigh. I enjoyed myself though.

Worked here a few years ago, it's unsafe to eat here. There are better places in town that cost about the same and aren't liable to give you food poisoning. People that work here should be ashamed.

Car park is tiny! Had to wait for a space and short stay at 45 minutes as well. All very cramped and small.

Unfortunately we arrived when very busy. The whole place was rammed. Queuing outside the door for ordering and no tables available to sit at. It was literally standing room only! It was very blustery so we decided to find somewhere else for breakfast. A very unique McDonalds. Interestingly google was saying it was quieter than usual!

Its a place to stop in and have a hot drink. Its busy all the time but, parking is a real issue. I wouldn't say that the food was great and, the staff were not that nice.

Absolutely disgusting service. every single tike I order something is missing or it's just sloppy and vile. I've let it slide more times than I can remember, however when I brought up the topic with a member of staff today I got laughed at and told there's nothing they can do. Abhorrent staff needs training in both their job and manners.

For a very busy prime location McDonald’s the car park is small and difficult to get into a peak periods. The food and service was as expected but they were no milkshakes available.

There is nothing wrong with the restaurant itself, but the car park is shocking. Terrible setup and nowhere near enough room. My son almost got knocked over by someone trying to find a space and loads of people parking all over the place due to the poor layout. If you're going, just pray it's not busy.

Very strange house. Not your typical McDonald's.

Service was quick and pleasant. Unfortunately why have McDonald's messed up so much with the queues you order food on stupid machines that are located in the middle of the shop then stand in each others way when waiting for your food. The other gripe I have with all McDonald's just keep the menu simple rather than having a million different items. McDonald's was fast food because you only had a choice of a few items so kept everything quick and simple

We ordered a happy meal with a fruit shoot and didn't get the fruit shoot we thought it was packed in the bag. We also had a tea and were not offerred milk!! All vegetarian options were out of stock. Very poor experience reinforced everything we thought about Mc Donalds.

Glad to visit the premier Scottish burger joint in the area. Not only known for their striking tartan and their betrayal in the 1715 jacobite uprising the family seem to have moved on to create the big mac and the mcspicy. I could be wrong but who cares when everything I see with a "mc" added to it tastes so good. (Note... who would have thought that chicken could have fingers)

Food not great service bit slow

A conveniently located restaurant for travellers. Car park is not particularly large with an awkward layout that makes parking larger vehicles, especially vans,etc. not so easy when maneuvering. Interior of restaurant is compact but clean and bright. Food is standard McDonald's fare.

It is what it is. A great place to stop for a bit to eat and drink on a route with no service stations. Good value well prepared McDonald's burgers.

It's okay if your starving and need a your food fast, personally I'd rather wait. The burgers never look like the pictures, the chips are often like cardboard and geez their coffee is like mud water. The wrap of the day is a bargain, the breakfast deal would be ok if they could make a cup of coffee that tasted ok. If I want a decent burger I'm off to Burger King.

Short stop off on way home from Chisrl Beach

Our family thought we'd grab a quick bite to eat on the way home from our trip to Dorset. This was the nicest tasting McDonald's we've had in a long time! Great service.

Bought for the kids as not into fast food and they were extremely hungry and fussy ,good service though

Busy Sunday late afternoon. Car park extremely busy and probably too small for the site but you can park outside the carpark too. Reliable McDonald's food, but milkshake not available again!! It seems to be common with the whole chain. Otherwise, hassle free but very busy. Would recommend.
