The Doury Frier in Ballymena

Ordered fish and chips with onion rings. The fish had thick batter which was raw on the inside and the onions were the same. Certainly won't be back

Had been looking forward to trying new chippy but I was disappointed. The chips were hard and chewy on the outside and whatever was left were tiny crispy ends. The fish itself was nice enough but I'll stick to my usual local chippys.

Overcooked chips as hard on outside and chewy. Fish was nice enough but if chips aren't good it's a no from me. Don't think I'll be back anytime soon

Asked for delivery... Was told 40mins, 1hr 20mins we received our food... When I asked delivery driver was it still warm, she said oh yes, just left the shop 5mins ago... Time warp later... Food freezing and inedible.... £24.50 in the bin.... If you cannot deliver in a proper timeframe DO NOT take an order.... Very very cross....

We ordered dinner friday evening 14th April it at 4 50 at 5 55 it still didn't arrive it was a pasta supper and two sausage suppers it was cold when it arrived phone and spoke to someone who then passed me onto the manager he wasn't very nice person said it was impossible that it cold it went in the bin would not recommend this chip shop

Food is good but they are the slowest chippy in the Ballymena area. If your not in a hurry for your food it is a good chip shop but we have ordered 2 hours again and the food is still not here. Really don't think it is worth ordering from them again.

Ordered food from doury frier and it took near 2 hours for it to arrive and the driver had given my bottles of coke to the previous delievery order so I was left without drinks because of their incompetence. Very disappointed in my order this evening 😒

They use Polystyrene trays for the chips and steam made the chips soggy.Some hard weren't cooked and anemic looking. Oil needed changed. Used to be good but not the same. And the cod was mostly batter no fish. Very disappointed with our meal it was tastless and bland. Don't think we'll be back,unless it improves.

First time visit but good food, fast service and reasonable prices.

Absolutely terrible service over an hour and a half for delivery not bringing all the order either but thought wouldn't be ringing to get the other part sent as it would be an hour again not recommended

I ordered for delivery. The staff member on the phone was really friendly. I ordered a sausage supper, 8 chicken nuggets and a bottle of coke zero. The total came to around £11. Not bad in my eyes. The food tasted amazing. The only downside I had was the delivery time. It was around 50 mins. Overall I would definitely recomed The Doury Frier.

This doesn’t even deserve 1 star! Absolutely disgusting had to put it straight in the bin it was making me sick looking at it! I wouldn’t even of fed it to my worst enemy! Chicken was like rubber and the batter was burnt to a crisp! Fish was disgusting and as for the chips I wouldn’t of fed them to a dog!

20 mins late only ordered some chicken sizzlers tasted like reheated chicken from the Chinese, no spice to the supposedly sizzling type and as chewy as a piece of rubber.

Rarely I leave a review - however this didn't even deserve 1 star. Chips were shocking, pastie completely burnt. Batter on the sausages tasted like it had been lying all day. Also ordered salad on the pastie bap (lettuce, tomato, onion) - it came with literally a slice of tomato. Fish was okay - didn't warrant paying 25 quid for though. 1 star from me.

I'm sorry but this has to be the worst meal I have ever had in a chippy I got the box A all three types of chicken were disgusting and over cooked and the burger my girlfriend got( I tasted it ) was over cooked too the chips were fine.

Lovely food and proper garlic mayo not like the ones u get most places that tastes like salad cream, quick delivery n foods always warm chicken fillet burgers are to die for and so filling burgers are massive

Long standing fish and chip shop who know their stuff. Great selection on the menu with fish, burgers, chicken, and plenty more. Have a great fast delivery service. Full marks.

One of the best chippies about. Would always recommend and girls are a good laugh even when under pressure.

The service is the best I have had & very friendly. They always make time for me as I am disabled and bring my order out to me on my mobility scooter.

we ordered food and paid for it, they said 45 minute. it never came.

In my opinion, the chips served in this chippy are not nice whatsoever but yet their sausages I had in the sausage supper were beautiful. It was sad that the meal I had was let down by the chips. Staff very friendly and helpful and good value, just let down by the chips.

Good chip shop lots of choice and specials. Ring ahead and your order will be ready but Saturday night tea time can be very busy. Friendly staff

I used to love eating from here and to be honest it started to disappoint. However I ate out of here last week and I was amazed!! I haven't tasted a chicken fillet burger so good in my life before.

This chippy is well priced and offers a wide range of food. Does kid menus. They do good deals at lunchtime. Staff are friendly and helpful.
