It's a very small bar, had DJ, but music very loud for such a small place, you couldn't have a conversation. But lovely place and staff great x

Was passing through on a bike race and found this place by pure chance. Extremely happy I did, very friendly, feel as though I was welcomed with open arms. If I lived closer I would be a regular. Big thank you to the team. Also the best pint of Guinness I’ve had for a long time.

Fantastic Friendly Pub with a very lovely atmosphere. The proprietor Les is a total delight along with her well chosen friendly and helpful staff. Music plays a large part in this delightful pub with life music some nights, DJ on at weekends and a great mix the rest of the week. Pets very welcome too. Looking forward to returning to Dumfries again to visit the much loved The Douglas Arms as is my cat Bear. Thank you for making my 18 night stay in Dumfries so enjoyable and for making me feel so very welcome.

Nice little bar, friendly atmosphere, great staff and fair prices. Always avoided this place as I had assumed it was an old dive, but on a Saturday night it was the very opposite! Lovely and very busy. All good fun.

Great wee pub, always has some interesting ales on as well as the usual. Live music some nights. Couple if seats outside if the sun is shining. Staff always make you feel welcome.

Best pub in Dumfries. Sound staff and the new Tennent’s glassware is phenomenal. DJs on the weekend and always a great time

Small pub but welcoming manager, beautiful open fires. 2 Scottish ales on board, no food served. There was a party ongoing. Pub had a little DJ area and glitter ball.

The Dougie is the best wee pub in Dumfries. The service,and the atmosphere is second to none. The music is first class,always a great DJ playing top tunes. Les and all her staff work tirelessly to create a warm and friendly atmosphere. I would always recommend the Douglas Arms to all👌👌

Really good pub it looks like an old man's pub but it isn't (and i am an old man). Good mix of young and old punters, usually a couple of real ales on tap , usually music of some sort being played. I always visit this pub when i come to Dumfries. Recommend a visit

A bit of a gem. Inclusive, friendly pub, both staff and locals welcoming. Has 2 changing Real Ales and offers CAMRA discount for vouchers. Good selection of other drinks. CAMRA award winner and well worth a visit.

Fairly small pub with friendly clientele and staff. 2 real ales from independent breweries both of which were first class. Wide range of other drinks which I didn't partake of.

I personally loved the place and atmosphere. Was visiting Dumfries for the day and had a drink in here. The place is very small but there plenty of locals in. The girl behind the bar was at times pretty busy but she was friendly, she had to visit the cellar though about 4 times while we were there. There was a young guy on keyboards who was playing uptempo jazz music, he wasn't bad. The toilets are very small but clean enough. My husband doesn't like jazz and because it was very small the music did seem a little loud.

Enjoyed a great evening. The venue was recommended by someone & we were not disappointed

The Dougie Arms is a liveliest places you can ever get in the area, with good drinks and good vibes you'll have the time of your life this place is full of friendly faces. This pub is also dog friendly as well as long as there well behaved pooches of course, I do recommend a Pickle shot of course there so delectable

Nice little pub with good beer and friendly staff, I popped in after a friend recommended it for good beer and they weren’t wrong. Perhaps a little too noisy for me, but that’s because I’m old and the pub is popular, will defo be back in tho…

Cosy pub but something good is always on, either in beer or entertainment and often both.

This is a friendly pub with helpful staff and serving possibly the best draught beer in Dumfries i.e. ABK helles which comes from a 700 year-old brewery in Bavaria. None of your guff, brewed in the UK under licence; this is the real deal. Pro Tip: you have to have two before you really "get it" but the hops "hit" is up there with the best. Enjoy!

Nice little pub. Been well refurbished. Love the mural outside. Nice touch having a basket of necessities in the ladies bathroom for people caught of guard. Well played owners.

Nice place, only went in there for one pint but the atmosphere was good. Very small, but it has a fireplace so it'll be a great place to go in the winter.

The beststists little pub in Funfries. A great place to meet the most interesting peeps in safety?...Nutters and lost causes get redirected to other care in the community establishment's, so those with the ability to behave in a polite and friendly way are made most welcome 🙏
