The Dolphin Fish & Chips in Pembrokeshire

Called today for large cod and chips x two takeaway. Cost £23.80. The chips looked like oven chips and were tasteless and dry. The large fish was in fact two small fillets joined together side by side and battered. On first glance it looked like a large fish but the flesh was only quarter of an inch deep so there were no lovely flakes of cod which you expect when you pay for a large portion, what little cod flesh there was was dry and crumbly.

Fantastic fish and chips top class service and taste of the fish was the best I’ve had in years will definitely be going back also the service was first class and chips were like the chips tasted like years ago, well done all at the dolphin

Food was freshly cooked piping hot and delicious not one complaint cod was white juicey with fabulous batter chicken pie lovely the chips were the best we have had in years great choice of drinks cappuccino and hot chocolate spot on were hooked😁

Visited here on a stopover from seeing family. We decided to eat in as there was ample seating inside and a few tables outside. I ordered Cod and chips x 2. Sat at a clean table with condiments available. Our food was brought over about 20 mins later. It was a fairly large plate and looked delicious! The plate had the cod, chips and mushy peas, also side salad (with dressing)tartar sauce and a lemon wedge. It was freshly cooked, hot and DELICIOUS . I thought that it was very good value, a decent portion, I am used to paying extra elsewhere for salad and tartar sauce etc The service was quick and with a smile. Before leaving I asked for the manager and told him how now the food was and that we had really enjoyed our visit. His name is Ocal? All of the staff were lovely to us and I thought they deserved some praise for a great service!!! Will Definitely be visiting again next time we are in the area. Best fish and chips I e had in a long long time. Thank you for a great meal. !!!

Did not enjoy the food at all chips looked like frozen chunky chips , very greasy , curry sauce was awful, kids wouldn’t eat it and they love fish and chips , I will try again in future as maybe it was just a bad night , il find out and re review accordingly

I live locally and think this is the best fish and chip shop for miles,fish is beautiful and white and chips are delicious,friendly staff,we order online and the meal is always ready on time.brilliant service and value for money which is rare in Pembrokeshire.

Really enjoyable fishcake and chips. Chips were particularly nice! Had a pot of mushy peas and curry sauce also. Would have been nice to have the option of different sizes for these as it was a little too much for just myself. Staff were friendly and food was prepared fresh and timely. If you are in the area I would recommend!

This is one of the best fish and chip restaurants we have ever been to. They have a lovely range of options of food available catering for all sorts. The food was quickly prepared. It was absolutely stunning. The fish was just right. Not great. They food is served in boxes. A favourite of mine. Ordering here is like a well-oiled machine. Although we took the food away the seated area looks very accommodating. A superb restaurant. We can see why it is so popular. We are going again tonight.

Popped in on the way to the ferry. Amazing service from friendly staff. Premises clean, neat, and tidy, with seating inside and out. Generous size portions. Cod bites and chips were freshly cooked and of good standard. Will be calling back on our next trip!

Fantastic, fresh fish and chips. Everything cooked to order and quick service. They have a small restauraunt but we took ours to go and sat on the wall across the road overlooking the bay. Fantastic end to the day!
