The Dog Inn in Oldham

Always a friendly welcome by staff and a friendly atmosphere. Close to Freehold metro station. Good entertainment at weekends. 2nd October '24 Pub is now under new management. They now have a Jam session on a Wednesday night 6.30 until 10.00 which is doing well.

Great pub. As it should be. People talking, drinking, being friendly. Can't go wrong in here. No real ale though but I didn't care. It's a nice pub.

Funny music night with Ryan Ireland, everyone got in to the spirit of it and joined in.

Spent most of the afternoon in here a couple of days ago. A nice clean and tidy pub with good variety of beers and spirits etc. On day we were there, karaoke and quiz night was in full swing. There are acts on during the weekend I believe too.

Another good evening in there as always. We only ever call in and have 2 pints at teatime. The music they have on is old stuff and we like that. Bar staff always lovely and cheerful 😊 great pub. Not alot of them left

Not a pub I frequent a lot because it's a the other side of town for, however, when I do go in I'm treated like a local. I just wish I lived closer to it. Top marks plus V.A.T.

Good traditional pub, stayed the same forever but that adds to the charm. Has a pool table.

Went for a friend's wedding anniversary. The landlord and staff where so friendly and welcoming I would recommend anytime.

Went for a couple off pints b4 heading bk to Scotland, the lass behind bar was lovley, pints were a 10, good old fashioned pub, could have stayed all day

Nice cosy pub with weekend entertainment. Pool table and dart board in tap room. Just shame about the lime green ladies toilets, not very flattering.

Booked me last minute to perform guitar and vocals due to a cancellation just hours before. My style is modern folk British/Irish/Celtic clearly stated on my facebook page along with videos. I started playing, crowd were loving it from the start but 30mins in he said aint you going to play anything different to that, I said what you mean everybody is having a great time, he said well im not, I dont think that style of music that your play, which was Irish Folk. I said didnt you look at my page before booking me, he said no, he said finish a few more songs and pack up, im only paying half. 60mile round trip I did for him and did it last minute pulling away from family on a sunday! Would have understood if the crowd didnt enjoy it, thankfully the crowd expressed there favor to me rather than him which kept my confidence. Nobody could believe it. Miserable landlord he it. Entertainment sector, I warn you all before booking a gig here.

Came in there the other day asking about the National Pub Fortnight in which this place is supposedly participating. Staff was clueless and the landlord obnoxious. Won't be coming back ever again!

Great Karaoke with Stevie on Mondays and live acts on the weekends. Staff are very friendly and the pub has a nice atmosphere.
