Dropped in by chance on our way through to west Wales from Yorkshire. Super friendly and welcoming staff, for whom it was no bother bringing a bowl of water for our dog and there were doggy biscuits at the bar too. We were served at the table and food delivered quickly - lovely big portion of cod and chips and a rump steak, perfectly cooked and totally delicious. The salad it was served with had a truffle dressing - amazing 😋. A really nice atmosphere on a Friday night - groups of families, friends and couples. A top find!

Had lunch yesterday with a friend, food was very nice,staff very helpful and friendly. The pub is beautiful inside lovely seating area. Will be back next time for a Sunday dinner.

Lovely pub. Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff, unfortunately food didn't live up to expectation. We had to send plates back as our food was only luke warm. Roast potatoes were hard as bullets on our roast. My son thought his roast at the beeches last week was better value and tastier... that's speaks volumes.

Not fantastic. The food was OK but expensive for what you get. I would not book again and would look for somewhere else next time

Lovely lunch today. We arrived on a cold day to a warm pub & a warm welcome. We all ordered off the main menu but the set menu looked lovely & excellent value. The food was high quality & very tasty. We will return soon

Had a mushroom soup and katsu curry, started to eat my mushroom soup and thought it tasted so good I just had to get a photo and leave a review. Staff are so polite and lovely. Service was great. And the food just devine! Cant wait to go back, couldn’t fault it

5th time I have eaten here, and 5th time I have had a lovely meal. Lovely roaring fire, and lovely atmosphere. It’s honestly a real credit to the landlord and his team, how he has turned this into a really lovely venue. Had one of the best Sunday lunches for along time, will definitely be back.

Came to the Dog and pickle for a family meal, it was delicious, service was great and a lovely atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed the evening. Thank you to all the staff and highly recommend visiting.

Had tea here tonight, steak pie was amazing!!! Best I’ve ever had eating out, and given a good steak pie would be my last meal on earth, that’s the highest praise I can give!!! We’re lucky enough to have The Dog & Pickle as our local, food is first class and Steve, Carissa and the team have done an amazing job - highly recommend, you’ll receive a very warm welcome 😊

Nice enough family pub that allows dogs and has a nice fire going. Choice of beer is good and has a plaque on the wall being the pub where the first CAMRA members were signed up in May 1971, (when it was the Nag's Head)....

Second time I’ve been now, come for a early Christmas dinner with my family and wow amazing service, lovely atmosphere and the food was absolutely fantastic, will definitely be returning

The food here is amazing, the chefs do such a good job as do all of the front staff, wonderful service. And to top it off, it’s a beautiful pub, has such a homely feel, lovely decorated. Looking forward to returning!
