Dawn runs a marvellous, traditional Welsh pub. In 1643 Oliver Cromwell set his cannons up on the site of what would become the future pub's namesake bowling greens, then he shelled the Parish church before burning a lot of the town. One thing that's never burnt however are the dinners that fly out of Bowling Greens kitchen. Superb, hearty, honest scran. Fine selection of beers, wines & spirits, great dart board + teams, too. All welcome in this midweek drinkers experience.

Popped into this pub for the first time in a very long time with a small group for a quiet evening drink (or two) after a meeting. The atmosphere was very friendly, the beer choice was good, and the price was excellent.

Wandered in with some hungry friends, made to feel welcome and on the biggest day for Wrexham FC. Had few beers stayed to watch the game. A great friendly local with great prices.

Friendly pub with a lounge, bar and enclosed outside area with tables. A variety of drinks including one real ale. Crisps and nuts. Reasonably priced pub food Monday to Saturday 4pm to 8pm; Sunday dinner 12pm to 4pm. Televisions, jukebox and dart board. Quiz on Sunday evening and host to domino league games.

Thought I'd try this pub because it was near my digs while I'm here from Glasgow. Staff were friendly. Had a good laugh with some regulars but the food was to die for . Home cooked grub . Big plentiful helpings The burger is great too . Definitely be going back

Walked in got spoke to like I was garbage ordered a pint of fosters got served what tasted like water..

After visiting again lately I must admit the standards of this place are awful toilets smell of piss sick still in sink (from what looked like weeks old) beer tastes awful like they've mixed it with turps!! Avoid here like the plaque. Picture is the toilet when they opened from the night before clearly hasn't been cleaned in month's

Surprisingly good won some vouchers from a charity venue for a meal for 2 and bottle of wine excellent food , first time in there always thought it was a working man's pub so didn't really appeal to me , but it turned out to be very friendly ,and welcoming would recommend a visit there

The staff here are really friendly and the venue clean. Good spot to have a few drinks while playing pool and darts.

Great food great price top pub the hidden gem in Wrexham

Booked a table for seven more in hope than expectation given that it was Mother's Day and they were screening Wrexham Vs Chester. Delighted to be offered a private dining room. The food, service and the ambience was second to none and the complementary glasses of Prosecco were most welcome. Thanks to everyone involved, in particular Dawn and Sian for a memorable Mother's Day. Diolch yn fawr!

Attending the annual celebratory lunch for the first time for several years I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of the food. Whilst typically "pub grub " it was hot & plentifull and promptly served.

Great local with excellent home cooked food.Steaks for under £7, Sunday lunch at under £6. Great venue for special occasions and a weekly fun quiz.

No he estado en el bowling green para una comida durante años. Una vez más, no nos decepcionó. No es demasiado larga la espera para nuestras comidas. Todos llegamos juntos. Comidas donde caliente no que me encuentro que en la mayoría de los lugares. El tamaño de las porciones eran fantásticos. Y buenos precios. Pub no estaba muy concurrida y está siempre limpio.

El ambiente es agradable y te hacen sentir como en casa.Hemos tenido para llevar también que tienen una excelente relación calidad-precio.La tierra virgen es una señora encantadora

The beer tastes absouluty disgusting the place stank of urine, I even had trouble trying to pick my feet up of the floor cause it was that covered in beer an urine! Definetly is the grottiest pub in wrexham, I'll be ringing the brewery to take action and shut this place down
