We had a break at the Dinner after plowing through the ground floor of the museum. Their flat white coffee was a life saver. It was tasteful, brewed with love and served with kindness. Just what we needed❤️.

Great coffee (flat white) - actually very surprised, and I realised I had to make a review only after a few sips, so picture is less prof 🤪 Also had a delicious foccacia bread, and was so tempted for the cakes, they all looked amazing. Service was so nice and the atmosphere here is very relaxed. Just what you need after exploring first part of this incredible museum! Thank you to The Diner for this energy boost 💚

The manager Nicolee was amazing. Due to weather forecast I had to organise a last minute birthday party for my 9yo son and all the kids were super happy to have lunch at the diner. The food was lovely. The staff was super kind and very professional. The 15 pizzas were waiting our arrival. As soon as Nicolee saw me in the restaurant she rushed to the kitchen to send the pizzas to the oven. She grated us with a beautiful smile, the reserved area was really nice with the table set with juices and paper and crayons. The staff was really helpful. Everything went really smoothly. Thank you so much to all the staff and cooks.

I was not impressed with this business. Years ago there was a restaurant called Blue. They were much better than the diner. The queue was long. Only one staff serving and she did not appear to know what she was doing. There was no hot food just baguettes in the fridge with drinks. The eating area was dirty with plates and food left on the tables.

Unlike other museums in London, the food is bad and the portions are ridiculously tiny...8 pounds for a handful of fries and 2 mini vegetarian sausages, a real ripoff! Too bad for a museum aimed at children. To avoid!

Just had to tell you about this cool spot I found at the Science Museum – The Diner Cafe. It’s like finding an oasis in the desert, especially with all the kiddos running wild in the museum. But the real MVP here is Stefany, the manager. She’s all kinds of awesome, making sure everyone’s having a good time and dishing out fun facts about the exhibits. You can tell she loves her job, and it totally shows. Now, the eats! I dove into the vegan menu and, oh boy, was I blown away. The vegan pizza and the margerita were to die for. Despite the place being swamped, the crew was on their A-game, keeping tables clean and the wait short. Well done to the whole team and the pizza chef too!

Horrendous service! Inexperienced or just non bothered staff (they all look like demoralised sad people!) … tiny portion of fries and I mean the little cup wasn’t even full! We waited 30 minutes for one portion of fries and one Margherita pizza … they managed to mess up the pizza when we explicitly said NO herbs it came with herbs! So we had to wait even longer! Avoid this place - overpriced less than average food and horrible staff

The location was great it was easy to get to and had a kind of relaxed vibe. Low lighting coupled with crazy unreadable menus that needed to be back lit on the table as a kind of USP was overkill and made it unnecessarily hard for my friend to read. I would suggest including a standard menu as an option. The menu is surprising as it was very expensive and the meals were akin to what you would expect in a McDonald’s. I enjoyed my salad but the burgers were just awful, so bad that the children refused to eat it and that’s saying a lot considering my kids will eat anything “burger” if hungry enough! We did inform staff that there was a problem but they seem to not really care. She did offer the children an ice cream. Frankly we shouldn’t have been charged for the meals. Cardboard burgers & silly unreadable menus, flavour was awful. Overpriced. Would not go back.

I agree with the comments about the food. A disappointment compared to the T-rex grill at NHM. But the worst things was the innacuracies in the kids menu saying things like "space is three times colder than the coldest place on earth", and that "lightning is a form of static electricity". Service was good.

Splendid service and quickly served food, we ordered fish n chips and nachos with coke totaling about 30£. The downside, which also explains the quick serving, is that it was all canned food. Except for the fish. Edible all, but too expensive for this kind of quality.

**we're American tourists, just hungry for lunch** The burgers are dull, flavorless, and over priced. We got the BBQ pulled pork (10.50) and Cajun Chicken burger (11.95) with sweet potato fries. (3.50) The sourdough bun wasn't good on either burger. I also asked for no coleslaw on mine and it still was put in. The pulled pork itself isn't bad with the BBQ sauce. The Cajun Chicken however holds no flavor. The guacamole is the only thing you can really taste. The chicken doesn't taste seasoned at all. Absolutely boring. The sweet potatoes fries feel like they came from a frozen bag and heated up in the oven and left out to serve to customers. Wouldn't recommend.

Called The Diner now. Ordinary food, burgers and the like. Got a shock finding out fries aren't included with a burger and a ( smallish) side of fries is 3.50 GBP. That's a joke. We wanted to buy inside the museum to support it but it was expensive for mediocre fare.

Had the unpleasant experience of eating the overpriced and very poor food here. For £13.50 + 10% service charge I had a rubbery piece of chicken that was nothing like its southern fried name, a pile of fries and a tiny corn on the cob. Not only was it poorly presented but tasteless. They state that by eating there you're helping the science museum, but this is an outsourced catering company. In reality you're better off buying a sandwich from Pret for a few quid and putting £5 in the donation pot. You'll not only have a better lunch and save money but the museum will be better off too. Alternatively try the Energy Cafe at the entrance, it's cheaper and the food much higher quality.

Went there last month with my friend . We were shown the place to seat (no chance to choose it for ourselves). There were plenty of empty tables on the back, but it seemed like the staff wanted to keep everybody at the front. We were sat at the table next to family of 5, with 3 laud kids, and back to a couple with a toodler who cried for the whole time we were eating. Surely not a great combination. I think staff should use their common sense and not put adults without kids to seat at the table with and next to families with kids, when there is plenty empty tables on the other side. To be fair - waiter who served us was very nice and the food was not too bad, But it was all ruined at the end - when a waiteress came to clean up one of the tables and she used ONE CLOTH to wipe the table and the BENCH people were sitting on and kids were putting their shoes on. Doesnt look like the staff had a good food hygiene and infection control training in there. Won't be visiting that place again.

Really disappointing some of the staff are incredibly rude and hostile Having spent over 2 weeks working nights in london using this hotel during a work stay it was very annoying to encounter 2 rude members of staff one at the front desk and one at the concierge after long night shifts The company booked this hotel so we could park the work van here during the day while or teams worked over night and so we could sleep in the day. We specifically requested the stay for sleeping in the day and safe parking the second booking we made was cancelled for what the hotel called a no show but this was due to the fact we where working nights we needed to sleep during the day and our check in was supposed to be that night not that morning This was specifically requested at the booking stage like the first booking we made with no problem so goodness knows why this happened. The front desk were extremely rude regarding this matter and eventually we got it sorted after quite a heated argument and accusations our card had been declined when they had taken money for a no show over 20 mins to resolve front desk person was damn right rude. Then after this the manager called the room while we where sleeping to apologise waking us up you have to be stupid to not realise we where trying to sleep after all the hassle lit felt like this was done out of spite as they know we where trying to sleep. Then on a second occasion while trying to park the van the concierge where again very rude when we arrived at 5 am when the was clearly space to park the van saying the wasn’t a space eventually the person apologised but this was too late again another argument when tired after working all night. And it was easy to park the van with plenty of space. This person tried to blame other staff saying they hadn’t done things properly. Previously on other nights a woman called Nina was really helpful and made space to park the van and went out of her way to assist us so very frustrating on the next night it was a problem all of a sudden. very disappointing experience all round and on top of this The room was hot and stuffy AC didn’t work the was a horrid stain on the carpet and room service chose to ignore the please do not disturb sigh banging the door with the hoover and knocking the door saying they had to check the room again waking us up. No plug by the bed for a phone Shower was an antique the toilet need about 10 flushes to work. The corridors smelt of mould The breakfast was a mixed bag a lot of over cooked food and the plates whipped away before you finished your last mouthful making the whole experience very rushed and not relaxing. Staff just need learn to treat all paying customers with respect even if we are working and don’t fit the normal tourist guest box and perhaps don’t look as clean cut and the average punter. We spent a considerable amount of money to be treated like second class citizens Hilton Honours you can do much h better than this.

Some of the most wonderful mouthfuls of food I’ve ever had, BUT the service really let it down. Not all food ordered received. Female server looked greasy and really struggled with basic English. Asked for a desert menu to be told they don’t have one yet because it hasn’t been printed? Brought the card machine over while I still had half my champagne left to drink. A real joke at the end of what was an enjoyable meal. Poor form.
