Freshly prepared to order sandwiches. Perhaps a little pricey but all food bought was very tasty. The service was particularly friendly and helpful.

For a special mid morning occasion I required some very special scones pluss cream and jam. Following a wide search I found :The Deli' and was not disappoint, baked to order on the morning of my event and I could not have been more pleased. The scones were so light and their taste were superb. If you know baking you'll agree. The service, price and quality are top draw. THANK YOU.

Nice traditional Delhi but we couldn’t bare sitting in the cold for very long. I don’t know whether the heating was faulty but it was freezing in there...such a shame because the food was actually nice, homemade fresh produce..and because of this I would try it again but please please make sure there is some heating on

Been here a few times recently and it’s lovely. Not too many seats so best time it well to get a spot but the cakes are delish as are the lunch options especially the wide range of scotch eggs! Might try the supper club soon though think it is slightly overpriced.

Lovely location Albeit not very easy to find, popped in here for a breakfast before popping on train, took ages to the point I had to ask where it was and nearly missed my train, food could have been warmer, the place was very cold, nice friendly staff though

Great little place in the heart of the village serving breakfasts, teas, light lunches and selling a range of local foods. Always busy with locals but the team are very welcoming and will find room for anyone who's dropped in. Sandwiches are massive, breakfasts are great value. favourite spot for me is outside on the front patio when the sun is out, watching the (small part of the) world go by.

I’ve lived in the Pontyclun area for years and never been in the Deli but I will be going regularly from now on! I was asked to go to the theme night that they hold every month. This time being nearly St David’s day the theme was Wales. The food was Welsh rarebit, lamb and lemon tart. All of it was absolutely delicious and good helpings too. The lamb was cooked to perfection and came with creamed leeks and potatoes. A vegetarian option was available. You can bring your own alcohol and water is provided. The setting is small but very cosy, you don’t feel squashed in. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. From looking at the menus on the wall they normally offer a good variety of breakfasts and lunches and freezer meals such as lamb tagine. Prices are reasonable and the cakes on the counter looked delicious. Booked to go back next month, looking forward to finding out what the theme will be.

Just came across this place for lunch whilst stopping off in Pontyclun for the first time. Lovely choice of meat pies, hams, quiches and scotch eggs, we were spoiled for choice. All served with fresh, appetising salads. Finished with tea and cake and bought extra cake to take home. Service was good and very friendly.

This small, friendly deli provides a delicious range of home made dishes to eat in and take away. I am addicted to the coffee and cinnamon swirls! A selection of cold meats, cheeses and dried goods also available. A first class venue.

They say the best things come in small packages and that is certainly true of The delicatessen in Pontclun. The food is fresh and incredibly tasty. The bread is dangerous for the waistline because you can't stop eating it!Wish it were a tad bigger as often no seats left but that's testimony to how good it is. Staff have readily made up hampers for footy lover gifts - great. Highly recommend a visit.

I have known this delightful establishment under it's prior management, and thought it was great then, But the current owner has breathed life and love into this much beloved local deli! The effort being put into making customers experiences ones to remember is un-bound! The food is always astounding, and customer suggestions and requests are warmly welcome and often integrated! With ever expanding and improving choices, variety and even some experiments, it's more than worth a visit! It's worth being your weekly destination!!!

Went into The Delicatessen as I was passing with a friend, the window display drew me in with its wonderful colours and quirkiness. The shop itself is rather shabby chic and very homely. I had a latte and chose a vanilla syrup to go in it, it was to die for!! The cakes all looked amazing, really mouthwatering! I settled on a slice of the carrot cake and it was heavenly. Each slice looks a little different so it shows that they're all handmade with love and attention. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and have a wonderful rapport with the regular customers! Would recommend to anyone and will definitely be visiting again soon!!

The Deli has totally transformed Pontyclun's food offering for the better. There's a fantastic range of homemade quiches, cakes and salads to eat in or out. Morning bacon rolls are stunning, with bread delivered fresh each morning by a guy from Church Village. Greggs it ain't, either in cost or quality, and there's no shame in that because this is beautiful food cooked up by people passionate about food, and they deserve every penny in my opinion. Thoroughly recommended.

So tiny but so lovely. Crammed to the rafters with fabulous fresh produce - meats, cheeses, quiche, salads, pate, cakes, bread, chocolate brownies, welshcakes.................etc, etc, etc and backed up by a good selection of speciality ambient products too.One of the best moves by the owner was to add a sprinkling of tables and chairs so that you can mingle with the locals and enjoy a hearty breakfast, a healthy salad or a huge slab of cake and a cuppa. It can get full, jostly, noisy and the windows get steamed up, but when it's like this there's a great buzz and on one occasion a group of people having breakfast broke into an impromptu singalong of Christmas songs!!!You can't beat personal service and on a previous occasion I ordered a selection of their gorgeous quiches which were hand delivered to the venue on the way home by the owner.Places like this are hard to find and should be treasured. We have to keep them on our high streets away from the greedy jaws of the big guns.

A group of four visited The Delicatessen. They sell lovely deli food, and the shop is in a good location in Pontyclun village.Prices are average for the area.I would recommend some heating, as all four of us sat with our coats and carves on, as it was exceptionally cold in there, and we also had to wait a bit longer than expected for our drinks.
