The Deli Next Door has a good location on Elgin High Street beside its sister business, Scribbles. There is a wide range of pies, sausage rolls, pastries, cakes, etc. Prices are not cheap, but the quality is first class. There is a small seated area with a few tables. The menu has bacon/sausage rolls, toasties, filled rolls, and soup, plus a range of specialist tees and coffees. Service was friendly but a bit slow. However, it is well worth a visit to this Deli/Cafe

The Deli Next Door has always been a go-to spot for great food and coffee, and I’ve been here a few times. While the quality of the food remains excellent, the service has become inconsistent. The staff used to be so lovely, but recently, interactions have been hit or miss, with some rudeness and snappiness. It’s a shame, as it takes away from what could otherwise be a perfect experience.

Always pay a visit when visiting family. Nice pastries and the sweet chilli sausages rolls are a particular favourite. Good hot drinks. Friendly and polite staff.

We had visited before and enjoyed it and this visit was no different. Small cafe with a nice atmosphere. First come first served kinda deal. The coffee is decent and so are the different types of homemade sausage rolls. There was also pasties and pork pies! It also has some lovely cheeses and is clearly a well stocked deli. Reasonable prices and we liked it.

Been a few times when we come up, usually 2 or 3 times in the week, food and coffee both good. Went in today, blonde woman serving “ only 4 tables and we are full !” and turned her back on me, came back 20 mins later a darker haired woman very polite “ sorry we are full maybe try in 20 mins” . We did and the blonde one again snapped “ we’re full and everyone's got food” turned away again. I know there are only 4 tables, was willing to wait, even outside but no need to snap at people just because your having a busy day, wont be back 😡

A very happy group of well fed GP’s attending a conference. We ordered food for lunch and had a fabulous spread of mimi pies, filled rolls, and salads. Excellent service from ordering to collection and even had leftovers. Highly recommend

Stopped for a quick coffee - very good. Also stocked up on pork pies with chorizo. The food at the deli part was lovely; lots of variety and unusual food combinations. Not the cheapest - but worth it for the quality.

We visited the Deli next Door - the new venture for Scribbles. We asked for gluten free cake option to go with our coffee. Our server didn't know what was gluten free so she asked a colleague who was serving someone else. She replied she thought the carrot cake was but couldn't be sure. They then both asked if we wanted them to check to which we replied yes please. Our server left to check but returned and said she couldn't find the packaging, but it should be OK - she was 99% certain it was gluten free. We said this was not really good enough and asked her to check again. She then went to the back of the shop and shouted through a door, apologizing to another colleague for disturbing her and asked again about gluten free cakes. This colleague didn't know either! We were asked if a 99% guess would be good enough! We decided not to risk it and had to settle for coffee with NO cake! I am sure it is a legal responsibility to provide allergen information to customers if they ask for it - this was not provided! Very poor service given that this could have resulted in a serious incident due to poor allergen awareness.

The Cosy Neuk is becoming of its name. Warm, cozy, inviting and the food was incredible! The staff are welcoming and happy to help with any requirements. Highly recommended! Great food for an extremely good price.
