Subway in Moray

Would rather watch a snail crossing the road than come back and wait in the que for Subway Elgin. No pillows provided for a nap. Fairly sure the staff are also asleep. Five stars if you are boring and like waiting all day though.

Keep canceling orders on just eat ... if ur so busy take down the option to order. Often orders are very late and often have the wrong things are sent or missing

Our household loves subway. We can live with the long delivery times.. The last 2 orders have missed items (a little inconvenient but whatever). Ordered today and left a note mentioning this and asked if they can remember to add them. Whoever made the order obviously took offence and dumped what seems like the bottle of sauce over my order leaving it drenched and soggy. Called and recieved no offer of remaking the order and was told they cant do refunds and to donit through just eat.

Ordered food it was an hour and a half late and it was delivered by a little girl that couldn't have been older than about 8 years old

Chose a vegetarian 6in sub. Asked for it toasted . It got 30 seconds in the oven and wasn’t toasted at all . Cheese was barely melted and bread was not at all toasted ….. just warmed enough to make it soft and heavy . Yuk ! Ordered a coffee , stood while guy at till served people behind me before preparing my coffee . Not at all impressed . Won’t be back !

When ordering food is always late (like over an hour) and cold never offer a discount or refund

Food is good but no point in being able to order online for a pick up just to arrive on time and made to wait another 20 mins just to get the order and being made to watch yous stand about sorting other people's orders. Whole point of ordering online is to get it quicker

They had no more bread left, and they were unwilling to make more

The cashier nazy She's a Nazi, I waited for the order for 15 minutes, came up and she said no, and only then began to prepare my order, I waited an hour and a half for my order. Even when I said there is no need for pork there, he began to ignore me

Staff were polite, and were going through the queue very fast. Looked clean and food was very good. Not sure what the other reviews are on about

This place needs closed down or a complete change. The staff here are entitled lazy brats and the food is disgusting. Ordering online is a complete joke as well they take over 2 hours to deliver and then hang up when you try to cancel an order. AVOID!!

Horrendous!! Came here monday morning for 2 breakfast subs and 2 coffee! Girls atitude was stinking. Tried to charge an extra £4 odds for some Lettuce on one of the subs , will definitely not recommend this subway to anyone

SUBWAY IS THE BEST! NO ONE CAN CHANGE MY MIND!!!! you should definitely go there, but even if you dont like sandwiches, THERES OTHER STUFF TOO! i 100% recommend going there!

Three stars because I ordered online via the app and food had not started to be prepared at the time it was due for collection and the girls where clearly venting their frustration with one another which is very unprofessional.

I visit Subway regularly but this visit was bad. There was only 3 of us in the que (1 of the 3 was paying so only 2 waiting) yet it took over 15 minutes for me to be served, they were too busy with phone or online orders. I felt like I was wearing Harry Potter’s invisibility cook as no one even acknowledged I was there, they didn’t lift their head once while they slowly made up the collection orders. At times the 2 staff whom were out front both toddled off through the back leaving no staff to be seen and me just standing there being ignored. When I was finally served the lettuce on display was brown so I asked if they had fresh. The girl had a quick look in the fridge behind her then said no. The girl who put my order through the till, a supervisor or manager I believe, told me there would be no fresh lettuce in until Wednesday - this was not even 12pm Tuesday !!

Good food but online orders is terrible.most of the time orders not prepared on collection time and you have to wait 10-15 min to get sandwich on your limited launch time.if you cant handle with online orders simple just dont do it.staff always helpfull it is clear that they have been over ordered.

Quite disappointed barely got any filling in my sandwich and everything was hanging out!! Got 2 slices of ham and my 6inch wasn’t near it more like 3!. Aswell as I really struggled to hear the staff who seemed as they had no patience

Was very disappointed with our subway yesterday, got served at 1.55pm, ordered 2 footlongs and a kids sub. Got mine toasted and it was then sat on the counter side till 2.20pm before it got wrapped up, looked like one lady was running about doing everything as she was recorrecting 2 of the guys. Then got to the till to be told the card machine had just broken down. Now I understand that things happen etc but there was absolutely no apology to us and they asked my daughter what she wanted in her meal deal crisps or cookie she chose crisps and when we got to the car her crisps weren't in her box and my sub was absolutely freezing . I totally understand the situation and feel sorry for the lady that was on as she was running about doing everything but we are very very disappointed in our experience at subway yesterday and will not be going again.

Only two types of bread available and seemed and tasted as if it was old. Not at all impressed

I was disgusted to over hear two co workers whilst I was waiting in line to order food discussing the fact that one of them has covid and was made come into work!! I instantly removed me and my two young kids from the line, don’t think I’ll ever be back to this place if they can’t even keep it safe for costumers!!! Very disappointed.

Have limited choices no Italian bread, chicken tikka and other food items, they dropped a bottle on my mother's foot and slow being served

We visited subway in Elgin for lunch on Tuesday. We had to wait for 20-25 mins in the queue as they were apparently 2 staff members down. We waited because my children really wanted a subway. The two lads that were on shift were working their absolute socks off, constantly changing gloves between the different stations, managing the online orders and the growing queues and still managing to smile - and my kids were happy with their subway lunch too 😁

Supposed to be open until 1600 on a Sunday, arrived around 1540, waited in queue until my turn at 1545 when manager stated those were the last he was serving. I asked why it says open until 1600 online, he said online hours aren't always right. Blamed covid. Poor attitude and bad service.

Arrived at 3.40 on Sunday as online says open until 4pm. Waited until those in front of me had been served to be told those were the last he was serving. This was at 3.45, would have taken 2 minutes to serve me as I was last one. Asked why it says open till 4 online, manager says online hours aren't always right. Blamed Covid. Poor attitude.

The service is good. There's a good selection sandwich filings. Seating in Elgin branch is still very limited however.

Awful everytime I go there you get the smallest of portions, I had to ask again today for lettuce, as there was only 3, not a piss take, 3 small 1inch peices of lettuce, they have put prices up and are giving smaller portions, being be back again now

Not happy with the hygiene visited yesterday none of the tables were clean or cleaned between diners there was enough staff at the time with the coronavirus there should have been more attention to detail

Came today. Was very impressed with how the member of staff handled herself after being falsely accused of sneezing into gloves, I witnessed this it did not happen, she stayed professional the whole time. Great food, nice fast service

Just visited and walked away. Member of staff sneezed on the top of her glove so I asked her to change her gloves, Instead of just changing them she went off on a rant walking away saying she didn't and said she wasn't dirty. Staff apologised saying she had a bad day. Why argue when all she needed to do was change them. Will be reporting to head office. Discusting customer service.

Stood waiting and was completely ignored until another person walked up and was served. Very poor service. Gave up in disgust.

Got a sub today that I can't eat halfway through making mine the girl turned to a customer and asked if he wanted sauce which he did she then packed is roll covered in sauce wrapped up give it to him continued with mine and covered it in source off her hands no care was taken absolutely disgusting

Was just in and they robbed me. I was charged £7.80 for only a 6 inch sub

did not get the offer on the advertising board and when I questioned the chap at the till, he looked at as if I had 2 heads!!!!

Love Subway,I am Vegetarian and I really am impressed when they ask me if I would like them to change gloves before serving,there vegetarian options are delicious I also have a membership card for points which I have used for free coffee cake or whatever is on offer for my point value,very friendly assistants and clean.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung, leckere Sandwiches und zentral gelegen. Wir haben diverse Sandwiches gekauft (Chicken mit Käse und Mais; Chicken mit Tomate, Salat, Gurke; Meat Ball Marina) und wurden sehr freundlich bedient. Die Sandwiches waren lecker, der Subway ist im St. Gilles Einkaufscenter und somit zentral in Elgin gelegen. Wir können diesen Subway empfehlen.

Quick and effective service but can be a little overused at meal times so there can be queues. This having been said, the wait is usually worth it! Good selection of fillings and bread types to suit everyone's needs and desires. Good value for money sandwiches with very tasty fillings. Very usable location in the shopping mall in the centre of town. A great place for 'people watching' and meeting friends for a snack and a chat. Surprising the folk who pass by who say hello! Must be one of the cheapest places for coffee or tea in Elgin and the disposable cups they use have a safe quality feel to them. Seats and tables are provided in the main downstairs area of the Mall, they can be a bit untidy but overall well kept and functional. The Mall is showing it's age now but is the main thoroughfare leading to the bus station. Very handy and well priced eatery.

Don't ask me about subway, I've never been, never will. If I want a sandwich I'll make one myself

Service can be bit slow but nice food and lovely cup of coffee there

Chose seeded bread for a ham sub , added cheese ( only got a very small amount - 2 triangle slices) then some onion . Asked for it heated and by the time I got my purse out it was”ready”. Needless to say the bread was only slightly warm and cheese not melted and onion still completely raw . Choice of dressings , but they do not have salad cream. Not impressed - especially for the price!

Good fresh food made quickly to your choice. Pick you choice of bread, choose which of the numerous salad choices you wish and then dressing if required. lots of meal deals, good coffee or juice. Friendly fast service.

Ordered two meal deals. Guy was very helpful but order was wrong and ordered meal deals but everything charged individually . Food was good even though dressings not what we asked. Expensive for what it was. Tables were filthy.

Like the choice of fillings for the sandwich although bread could be improved. Service is fast and efficient.

You cant go wrong with a subway, choose your own. This was clean tables & cleared very quickly never short of a seat.

Im going to sound poor but ive only tried the cookies at this subway and ill be honest their oat and raisin cookies are the best ive ever tasted.

Have been to countless subways around the country and this one is now my local and come here several times a week for a quick lunch and I'm never left disappointed. no matter what you have be it a salad or just a 6 inch sandwich the food is always fresh. well seams that way at least, being able to choose whatever salad you want is very appealing, and £5.00 for a foot long sub and a drink is pretty cheap in my books, obviously that doesn't cover the whole menu but it has plenty of variety still. Great food every time I go.

Good enough food, but some of the staff particularly the two guys at the till need to brush up on their customer skills. We felt that they were having a laugh at us.

I regularly go to Subway for sandwiches and always find the staff friendly and helpful. The food is superb and healthy. I hope the staff get the pay and recognition they deserve.

Good food and well filled sandwiches, it's an extremely well placed shop with a generously sized seating area, will return.

Dinner times at weekends are a nightmare, yes expect queues because Subways is Subways but by the time you get your meal if you want it toasted then it is cold by the time you get to checkout. The staff are not really fast enough and seem not bothered but then again they probably can't wait for their shift to finish. It is a busy franchise but not big enough for its popularity, it really could do with moving to a bigger stand. Also the staff cannot keep up with table clearing, again it comes down to previous comments about staffing, plenty of talk behind the counter but not much movement!!. Perhaps it is down to management being satisfied with current profit levels.

Subway is brilliant and the food is always fresh and the food is great and the service is friendly with plenty of banter between the customer and the server.

I don't eat in Subway very often, despite working in view of it. I refuse to queue for a sandwich, it's nonsense..maybe 3 times in a year I will eat there, if I time it just right. Even when there is no queue, the staff are through the back, and don't come out until they are good and ready. This morning, I could see the last person getting served, and picking 'the right moment' took my place in the 'queue' as there was 3 people serving...I am poised... ready to strike, pounce on the staff member, like a lion stalking the antelope, and got ignored... even though the tall blond lad had nobody to serve... he stood staring straight ahead at nobody and nothing... no hello... no movement to help... just stood... said nothing... did nothing. In his defence, this situation only lasted about 6 seconds before I lost patience and went to Ashers bakers... but I don't understand why you HAVE to wait..even when you don't need to wait... you still wait...

I must say I'm a bit boring with my choice of food here, but you cannot beat the spicy Italian from these places, just can't get enough yummy!!!

i used to come here regularly but they stopped doing the prawns/seafood, and as im not much of a meat eater the other option is cheese, which i love but its a lot of money for a few cheese slices n some salad.

We always try to have a Subway when we are on mainland Scotland! Always a good variety to choose from. Staff are very helpful.

Excellent,speedy service and polite staff. Good fresh food and plenty of seats in the middle of the shopping centre. The coffee they served was also very nice.
