Great wee chippy, never fails to satisfy the family

So disappointed, after reading positive reviews thought I'd give it a try. Maybe I'm just unlucky, I know fish may contain bones even when de-boned, but it was just inedible multiple bones gave up after third bite. Only discovered when I got home order was missing chips after asking for a sausage supper.Sorry to say very disappointed. On a plus the staff were very friendly and reasonable priced food.

This is the only chipper I will go to in Elgin. It's a really small place where you always get asked how you are. Portions are a good size and the prices really reasonable. With our latest tea, the chips were fantastic. Crispy and tasty. The fish tonight was tasty, batter was still crispy by the time I got home which is always a bonus.

Probably the best in Elgin, if not Moray!!!! Food is great quality, decent size portion and reasonable price. keep up the good work.

Always phone in order and turn up at given time. They are NEVER ready! I always have to wait at least 15 mins after I'm told my order would be ready. Last fish was thin had more batter than fish (and there wasn't a lot of batter which was nice) and the portions were small. Not worth the money. Sorry guys.

Love this chippy. Don't feel like I have eaten a pint of fat when finished. Prices are good and the staff are so pleasant. Would highly recommend

Down here on a wee 4 day break and got a few fish suppers for me and the wife , absolutely lovely - perhaps even the best I have tried.

Me and the wife down her for 4 days and thought we would try this chippy. Two fish suppers that were absolutely class, not minging with grease and very reasonable price.. Very happy

Awful place, although staff are friendly, the food was dry and hard. The place looks like it could do with a good clean. Won't be returning

Missed the train to Inverness so I had an hour wait in the cold, dark and rain. Discovered this place was open. They were really quick. The fish was great and they gave my dog half a battered sausage for free. He was very happy too.

After being recommended we were very disappointed with our food. Small portions, and by the time we got home... 5 mins in the car, the chips were cold and hard. Our teenage daughter ate about a quarter of her sausage supper and threw the rest away. Mushy peas were dry, coleslaw was warm. Disappointed to see young girls serving not washing their hands after handling cash, although they were very polite and friendly. Sorry, we won't be returning.

The title of the review says it all. They are consistent with the service, friendliness and quality of food.

Have lived in Elgin for years but have never had a chippy from here before, mores the pity. Excellent quality and although not big portions it’s very reasonably priced as a result. Staff looked like they all knew their roles and were flying through the orders, despite being a busy Saturday night. On a side note, there garlic mayo is superb and full of flavour! A world away from the flavourless slop you’d find in many big chains. Hopefully be back again soon!

Use this chip shop on a friday night and find the food excellent and the staff a pleasure to talk to. Best chipper in moray and I am fussy and very particular!!!!!

There are so many chippys around the UK and its very difficult to say which is the best because we all have our own views on what is good, I personally liked the fish and chips from here very fresh and lovely batter, but every town or city has got there own favourite.

Excellent customer service an the food is excellent.

Service was very poor, food swimming in cooking oil/fat. Portion was very small. This chipper has gone down hill.

Tucked away down a side street, this chippy is certainly popular with the locals. When I visited I thought that the fish was a bit over cooked and the portion of chips a bit small.

Fantastic fish and chips. Perfectly cooked to order. Fish and chips,as you're probably well aware can be an amazing experience or an okay or even terrible experience. The fish and chips at this little shop are in the FANTASTIC category for sure. Give this place a try, you'll be so happy that you did. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. They're happy to exchange humorous banter too..... Mmmmmmm yummy! Just finished my fish supper.....

We stopped in for supper our way through the area. Best not so hidden find of the trip. We tried black pudding and white pudding for the first time. Great food, great staff, great value. The staff was very friendly a fun to talk to.

Spicy haggis supper is quality! As the title says no other chippy has a decent haggis supper. Good service friendly staff, a bit tight with the vinegar but just added extra when I got home.

we have been there a good few time , homemade chicken fillets , mushy peas taste the way they should not stale like the ashvale , fruity curry sauce my personal favorite.fresh cooked fish to order

I have tried this a few times but every time i'm disappointed. I go hoping it will be better but never again! Rather make my own. Been served just a greasy mess each time. The batter is awful it's gooey and disgusting. Not that good a service either.

Usually get our fish and chips from here, great banter and great food, they do a great spicy haggis supper, other options are available.

Este hotel familiar chipper (22 años en la misma familia) sigue la tradición escocesa de comida sabrosa, bien cocinados a la orden, buena relación calidad-precio y un servicio amable. Un montón de gastar bromas del dueño y varios clientes habituales hizo la breve alegre volar el tiempo de espera. Nunca había estado antes, pero sin duda volveremos! Ten en cuenta que es sólo para llevar. El aparcamiento es una pesadilla, así que aquí si puedes.

I was quite disappointed at my last visit. The batter was not great quality. Usually this is a highly esteemed tea option but will think twice now after my last visit. On plus side they are environmental friendly with wrappers. X

Pop in on Friday evening after doing supermarket shopping. Few people waiting to order and some customers waiting to collect orders. Had to wait about 10 minutes for my order the chips were just warm the fish wasokay
