The Dee in Flintshire

This is possibly the worst Thai food I’ve ever had. Far from authentic and my dish was so sweet it was like eating a desert. I ate half then asked for either a portion of rice or vegetables to attempt to make it savoury. This seemed to throw the waiter. The customer service was dreadful. They seemed unable to comprehend what I was asking for and one of the waiters attitude was that the customer was wrong. Do not waste your money on this place. Especially if you know and love Thai food. This is westernised version .

I have previously had lovely experiences with Thai Dee, food is always delicious and people are polite. Not today! I was made to feel a fool after requesting a refund because my milkshake had been missed off my order. I had done a round trip from Thai Dee, home and back, therefore wasting petrol to retrieve this milkshake that should have been given to me in the first place! The young blonde girl said ‘let me just call my manager’ she then returned a second later with an arrogant smirk on her face ‘my manager wants to speak to you’ I then had to speak to a very patronising manager on the other end of the phone not understanding why I wanted a refund even though it was blatantly obvious. I also work in hospitality and can understand mistakes can be made but I was polite when enquiring about the refund, I would expect the same back.

My family and i fancied a thaidee as we had not had one for a couple of years remembering how delicious it was. After looking at the prices omg we knocked that on the head just could not believe it no way was i paying that much

We aren’t local but we were staying nearby. We wanted something tasty to eat and was recommended Thai Dee. Well I’m very glad we were told about this place. Ordered takeaway which was ready in no time! When collecting my order, I spoke to the owner and what a lovely guy & proud of his business and all I can say is very much warranted. Food was amazing too! Full of flavour, spicy & very authentic. Look forward to coming back when I’m next here. Five stars are well deserved.

Iv complained before about this place , I think there food is nothing to do with Thai cooking, it's over rated and over priced, 13 pound for drunken noodles, which is a pathetic attempt on Singapore vermicelli, from Chinese, that you can gat for 7 pounds , Thai Dee is so over rated , the food is absolute garbage, there all front shiny nice signs,

Honestly the best thai food I've ever had! Baring in mind I haven't actually eaten in yet, they've always been take aways. Super generous with portions, great meat options for my fiance and veggie options for me. So so tasty!

Well this place was very nice the first time I went. Unfortunately it seems to have gone a little downhill i spent £22 got a mixed starter for 2 the chicken satay was dry. The chicken toast was nice and the spring rolls were bland. I ordered a prawn red curry and garlic rice no veg it tasted nice but the portion size is terribly I got 6 king prawns and sauce for £11 garlic rice £3 its was tasty but come on guys

Passed this restaurant several time, and finally decoded to try it out. The restaurant interior was modern and comfortable, it really was worth having a sit down meal here. The staff were absolutely fantastic, super friendly and on the ball. The food was fresh and fantastic, really tasty. I'd highly recommend to everyone.

We have eaten here many times since they expanded and added a restaurant to the already fabulous take-away experience. The decor is very classy and the staff are friendly and helpful. The food is ALWAYS delicious and it is truly good value for money. Yes, there is another nice restaurant across the road, but that means that Flint now has two top quality eating places. Don't forget to eat at the Thai Dee. You won't regret it!!!

Tonight, whilst venturing through Flint we stumbled upon this rather divine and appealing Thai restaurant on Chester Street. We were indeed extremely fortunate enough to be offered a table for two without any reservation as we were 'simply in the right place at the right time' nevertheless, we understood that preference to reserve a table is often desirable if you want to guarantee a table. As a matter of fact we were so happy prior to leaving here we booked a particular secluded table for a Saturday evening for 7 weeks ahead. The service we received tonight was exceptional, our waiter was attentive, courteous, professional, friendly and cute. The food was freshly prepared, fresh ingredients, oozing flavours and cooked really well. The prices charged are in keeping with other competitors in the area maybe slightly cheaper. Thai proverbs pictures grace the walls which only adds to the authenticity of the place. The restaurant was scrupulously clean, it was bright and airy and had a lovely ambience inside. The place is split into two sections, there is the take-away side as soon as you walk in and around the back there is your tucked away dining experience restaurant. Toilets including fully accessible and adaptable are located on the ground floor. This place is definitely a hidden gem. I am confident to state the restaurant is open everyday except Monday's 4.pm to 10.30 pm but advised to check to be certain. A highly recommended establishment. Well Done!

I cannot praise this place enough! Excellent excellent excellent. The whole visit from food to environment is excellent. Really really really worth a visit. Wonderful restaurant in Flint.

Well done Martin & Da, what a lovely dining experience enjoying the Tastes of Thailand including “Street Food”. All aspects of Thaidee are spot-on. 100 percent wheelchair accessibility in terms of space and dining table design that provide both knee room and obstacle free leg/feet room. A fully Accessible Loo for those living with disabilities allows easy wheelchair access to the loo wash-basin + dryer. The Ambience of the restaurant and purposely designed separation from take-away custom provide a tranquil atmosphere to dine with family friends. Thai culture and proverbs adorn the walls giving a real feel of Thailand. Several booths make this eating-house really special – Check it out you won’t be disappointed. Top marks to the staff, we’ll be back again & again now we have discovered this Gem in the Crown of Flintshire’s Eatery’s.

This evening we ordered a take away to eat back at a hotel we are staying at locally & wow it was so well presented, tasted beautiful, well cooked & was piping hot ! We both thoroughly enjoyed every part of it & as my partner often says, I can be extremely fussy with food & a huge critique after working in restaurants myself! This has got to be the best take away we have ever eaten … I so wish there was one closer to home !

Ka paw if you like spicy food is to die for think im addicted to it. Starters are delish. Really tasty food.

This is a nice thai place to eat or take away, friendly staff right in the town center opposite the train station.

When this place first opened it was great value for money and we never had a bad meal here, the in-laws saying the same thing too. Then they upped their prices (which perhaps makes them standard pricing but still...) and at the same time we started getting wrong meals, not consistent ingredients etc. However, they seem to have pulled their socks up and I have had some very nice meals from there the last year which is really what counts. They offer options to customise your meal including portion sizes, added extras, different carbs etc which is a nice touch. For us, a take away is a considered purchase as they are not cheap and this place is a rarity now for us due to pricing/value but this is perhaps a reflection on our situation rather than this places standing, I just wanted to mention it as I know cost is a factor for people. The option to order on line is great, especially for someone like myself who has lived in a city all her life until I moved here.

Been here a few times now and tastes absolutely delicious! Takeaway or eat in. Friendly service. And if you want vegan dish just ask. They will do this on request

Being from South East Asia, I can honestly say that the food here is the most authentic and best tasting that I have had in my 20 years living here- after discovering this place, I had to sample every dish on their menu over a 3-4 week period, until my wife finally lost it.. I can thoroughly recommend their curries, especially the Panang curry- and their coconut rice to go along with it is out of this world!!

Was told to try here while working away Very helpful and polite staff, the food was great, good sized portions and very reasonable prices as well. Im looking forward to trying more when Im back in the area

A birthday treat had a takeaway in work food was collected and we are at work. Food was hot and packed full we had a variety from noodles, starters, chips, prawn crackers. All food tasted very nice and was enjoyed by all.

Recommended by a friend and so glad I took his advice. Very friendly welcome ,starters were delicious and quickly provided and nicely presented. Drinks were reasonably priced table service was excellent. Main course was again very tasty and good portion size.A lovely environment to eat with such a happy team working there.Brilliant value extremely tasty, and positive another visit will soon be in order.

We a couple whom love Thai cuisine and have traveled there on numerous occasions and read the reviews and thought we we drop by for a visit and review looked like more of a takeaway however they have tables for approx 20 plus people to eat inThe wine list is quite limited but agreed we could drink our own wine if we wishes and brought a Chablis from the local Tesco’sThe food mixed starter, chicken green Thai curry and king prawn red Thai curry was absolutely amazing The locals must love it too as a continuous demand for takeawaysWhen back in the area we will defiantly go back great food and serviceCan not fault in any way well done to you all

Our first visit, not having been in Flint for some time, and what a real gem of a place this is! Clean, bright, light with excellent customer service and easy to understand menu which you ‘build’ as you go along, and all at a set price. My wife raved about the Pad See Ew dish she ordered and I thoroughly enjoyed my mixed meat Classic Thai Fried Rice ... I could have opted for chicken, beef, pork, king prawn or even tofu.The menu is not huge but there is plenty of variety to make you return again and again!I think I can honestly say that theirs were the best banana fritters I have ever tasted!

I went here for the first time, it was nice and clean and very friendly, the food was nice so was the chang ha ha will visit there again in the near future, Brian Flint.

Whilst in Wales on business, we decided to take a detour from the A55 back to Wirral, and found this delightful Thai place. Martin a fantastic host, and the value was superb, defiantly worthy of a detour if in north Wales.Carl and Lily (from wirral)

We went for lunch and found the modest sized cafe to be very clean as well as smartly furnished. The staff were all very welcoming and the food was of a high standard with good portion sizes and reasonable prices (£6.95 for Pad Thai for example). We liked the way the chef came out to ask what we thought of the food. And the owner gave some good advice on visiting Thailand too!

Staying locally to visit sister and felt that this was worth trying. It turned out to be a friendly, clean and quite busy spot catering for both take out and indoor diners. We dined in from a comprehensive and really flexible menu. The food was delicious and cooked by a Thai chef working in clear view of diners. Washed down with Singha beers it was just what we needed. It really hit the spot, even for a senior, though well travelled married couple.

Fabulous little thai noodle bar, friendly staff, superb, freshly cooked food. Authentic flavours, a must try!

We came across Thai Dee after a trip to Chester. We are so pleased we found this great little Thai place as the food was delicious, real authentic Thai with lots of choice including a vegetarian option for each dish and very reasonably priced. We only wish we lived closer to get a takeaway! We will definitely be back to try more dishes off the menu. Thanks again. Khawp Khun kha!

We decided to go and have a meal at this venue, initially as we loved the irony of the name. We were served by a lovely guy who was friendly, attentive and went out of his way to accommodate our extra requests. Service was prompt and drinks came quickly. We had a starter of sate chicken, sesame toast and spring roll. Tasty indeed! This was followed by our main meals, mine was chicken sate with thick rick noodles. The portion size was generous and I can truly say, I was not disappointed. It was the best sate stir fry I've had in a long time. My friends were also blown over by theirs (sorry, can't remember the names of their dishes). We loved the simplicity, friendliness and street food feel to this place. If you like Thai food, go and try this one out, you won't be disappointed! Staff are adorable too and more then happy to help.

I am a chef with 30+ years under my belt, I LOVE none pretentious food, and this place delivers just that, cooked in plain view of the customer using traditional Thai ingredients, based on the traditions of authentic Thai street food it's simple and tastey, I went with a friend for the first time last week we were on our way home from a days fishing and he had been saying how good it was and so we stopped in, and it was well worth the stop,price wise we had two starters two mains a soft dring and a bottled beer and it came in at £26,00 which I think was reasonable, o and have to say the staff are friendly and curtious too. They open till 9.30pm 7 days a week.

Went on a Tuesday night at 19-35 hrs. My wife ordered the Satay and I had the Pad Ka Pow. Both meals were very good. My wife thought that the Satay was the best she had ever eaten. Service was good, the food was good and the ambiance was reasonable. We will definitely be back.

What a fab place, friendly staff and wonderful food.. just don't overdo the sides as the portions are quite filling! Will be back!

The range of meals looks relatively limited at first, although they are more than happy to swap your noodles, protein and alter the heat levels which gives you plenty to choose from. The venue is spotlessly clean. Service is really friendly and helpful.Portions were extremely generous and the food was piping. It was utterly delicious - authentic flavours and loads of different vegetables. Really really lovely.They are hopping to open a few more branches soon and we sure hope they choose Prestatyn for their next store.Well worth a visit.

We eat a mainly plant based diet, but do eat some fish from time to time, so it was reassuring when I ordered the vegetable Pad Thai the server let me know this meal contained fish sauce. So even though I hadn't specified I was a vegetarian, they were double checking for me that the meal was suitable. My partner had the pineapple fried rice. The food comes in environmentally friendly card boxes, in a paper bag, with bamboo forks or chopsticks and the venue is spotlessly clean. Service is really friendly and helpful.Anyway, we found a picturesque spot to eat our meals. Portions were extremely generous and the food had remained piping hot even though we had driven a fair way. It was utterly delicious - authentic flavours and loads of different vegetables. Really really lovely. Thai Dee do a loyalty card - buy 10 boxes and get a box for free. I wish I'd got one stamped now - I have a feeling we'll be engineering our journey times to coincide with arriving in Flint at just about lunchtime!

Popped in twice in the last couple of weeks and thoroughly enjoyed it both times-we sampled four different mains and a couple of starters,all very enjoyable-will certainly be dining there again.

We used Just Eat the first time we tried these guys, and the food was superb, and the delivery time was well ahead of estimated time. I had the Pad Thai & my husband had the Tom Yum fried rice and we had chicken satay, all of which was so tasty and very good quality. We then went back the next time, but had takeout. Just as good second time round. Well worth a visit or try on Just Eat etc.
