Located in Dean Village this is a great place to stop for a morning coffee and breakfast bun (with choice of fillings including haggis). Limited seating but I would recommend takeaway, sit and eat on the many low walls in Dean Village.

Great spot for a coffee, breakfast or light lunch. The food was great, latte perfect and the sweets are made by, I was told, a French baker. Excellent all around. Friendly, attentive staff. Can’t ask for much more, and worth seeking out when visiting Dean Village.

Stopped by while exploring Dean Village. Great croissant and tasty coffee. Sat outside in the sun. Friendly service too

Best coffee we have had after a month in Scotland. Good, large sandwiches too. Convenient to path along Leith Water, which is a great break from the mobs of the Royal Mile

This is a special little cafe in the heart of The Dean Village. I love that they source locally and thoughtfully, coffee from Dear Green and milk from Mossgiel Farm, for example. I’ve been a few times now for coffee and cake and also brunch - the quality of everything is top notch. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. I love that they take the time to get to know the regulars (& their dogs!) by name. Feels rare in the city. I took my elderly mum in recently and the owner really took time to chat with her. She loved it!

I had a lovely toastie and coffee for my lunch today. Definitely coming back to try other things! Nice to find a little place like that so close to the city centre. 😊

The tiny cafe at the back of the chocolate shop makes a lovely range of hot chocolates!

Great music, great cider, the food is as good as vegan food gets if you are into it and still very good if you're not. Nice people

Pretty good. Very friendly staff and a nice shop connected to it where you can get fresh fruit and veg. Plenty of options including vegan. Nice options for small children too.

A traditional friendly bar. Good choice of beers, spirits and wine. The bar staff are lovely people and make you feel welcome, the locals are friendly too. Enjoyed spending time in there.
