visited here from Newton Aycliffe for Sunday Lunch we were offered small, medium or large you've got to go large, big mistake it was huge, the quality of the food is on point and very well presented we asked for a gravy boat, one was supplied at no extra cost we will definitely visit here again very good value for money too

Handy for locals on the outskirts of Darlington with plenty going on during the week. New management putting on bar food and have already made their mark with their Sunday lunches which are very good

Sammy gave us (my daughter and myself) fabulous service. Never felt rushed. Brought hot drinks and then food and then came and asked how we were . Very attentive . Thank you, A1 service 😁

Very nice traditional bar, near the centre of Darlington. Great selection of craft and guest beers, and you can have a chat with no loud music to talk over. Its quite popular!

Don't know what's happened at this pub. Have been six times in the last few months. Up until we took my grown up son and daughter 2 weeks ago we had had some stunning food. Two weeks ago the food was to say the least average, soggy chips and both my wife's gammon and mine were seriously undercooked and all in all the meal was poor. However anyone can have a bad night so undeterred my wife and myself gave it another go tonight, Wednesday 16th April. We were surprised at how quiet the pub was but we had gone for tea so we both ordered gammon off the main menu. Once again we were very disappointed. The chips seemed to be skin on but were soggy and soaked in fat. Obviously the fat was not hot enough and the gammon needed another ten minutes. The food came out far too quickly and as a lover of onion rings it is sad to bit into the batter to find the onion still hard and virtually raw. It's sad as we really liked this pub but will not be wasting any more of our money!
