Nice atmosphere and really friendly, helpful staff. Great value having 2x Sunday roast plus alcoholic drinks for £10 each. Let down a bit because table wasn't clean, menu was sticky, fork had "bits" in it (hadn't been through the washer properly) plus a blob of ketchup on the furniture (pictured). But then, what do you expect for a tenner?

Myself and Mel came into woollen mill and had two chicken and bacon baguettes with fries and it was spot on fries and baguettes were hot and tasty! The service was impeccable and was the service. I do come down quite a bit with the kids also and we’ve never had issues. Thanks team we will be back.

It's cheap but not cheerful. Tired furniture and sticky tables. The food came out very quick but I doubt that has much say on its quality either way. A big place with little atmosphere but you can't ask much from a place like this. Weatherspoons is better value I would say and just ever so slightly better quality. It's the furniture that really got me. Black worn out arm rests and sticky tables. Come on.

I went in today and the environment was amazing, great service and the staff are polite and very nice to be around, the food is so good and my whole family enjoyed it, the atmosphere to be around is also child family with high chairs already provided for you, they are also some good family arcade games in as well to keep a child entertained along and if you sit in the booths there is a mini tv in which you can change the channel and turn the volume up overall it’s a great environment to be around and I would totally recommend to go and enjoy it like I did.

The food was incredible as always and the customer service was amazing. The lady with the dark hair working on the morning who served us was so lovely and honestly so kind and sweet ! Will definitely be coming again 🩷

Family dinner time called here in the rain and got a comfy booth seat ,great menu and good deals carvery was good and kids meal and snacks spot on ,was just before 12 on a Sunday and was getting busier,only 2 staff on floor one serving food and the other behind bar they were kept busy but fine helpful and pleasant and proffesional.i would have give 5 stars but almost 6 quid for a Perroni pint come on.would come again if in area and get tap water ha.

Staff were all so lovely. Came in with all my family and having 2 wheelchairs with us, the staff were very welcoming & helped us to move spots to where both wheelchairs would fit. Ordering at the bar, the service we received was amazing. Food came quick & was very delicious. 10/10 from all my family

Me and husband took our 2 small children for lunch our 2 year old naturally doesn’t like to sit still and wanted to explore witch staff were good about our server even went for a walk around the restaurant with us chatting away with her and took her to get some crayons and activity sheet.manager was really helpful in making sure that our sons meal was dairy free and suitable for a little person learning to eat. All our meals were hot fresh and absolutely delicious! definitely will be going back next time we are in the area

Nice, smoking jack burger was good, and they served vimto.

Katsu sauce was served cold other than that 8 meals served and no complaints. Would certainly use again and also recommend to friends.

As always friendly service from the staff, they've always got a smile and are attentive if you need them. Been coming here for a few years now partly for that reason! Came for Sunday dinner and roasts are fairly standard fare but the amount of food for the price can't be beaten and the potatoes specifically were excellent.

Food is delicious especially the breakfast wrap. The waffles your way are a huge hit with my kids too. No request is too much for the staff or kitchen. Staff are so friendly and the atmosphere is great x

I visited this morning with my daughter for breakfast with the Easter bunny. What a lovely morning. The lady behind the bar was fantastic nothing was to much trouble she was so friendly and made so much effort with my daughter. I asked for things separately on the food she was so helpful and kind made me feel at ease. The food was lovely and arrived very quick. My daughter loved seeing the Easter bunny and loved her pancakes. She is so happy with her egg. Her words were I can't believe I've met the Easter bunny. Thankyou so much for a lovely morning.

I went here for the first time for Mothers Day with my son and sister, the food was well worth the money, we really enjoyed it and the staff were wonderful, especially Meghan, who made us feel very welcome and could not do enough for us, the other lady working with her was also lovely, and made our visit special. We have been to several places in the past, where the staff's attitude has spoilt our trip, but the staff here are brilliant and it is just generally a lovely place for a meal. We will definately be back soon. Thank you.

Standard pub food and drinks which is not badly priced. Service was good and food did not take long to arrive. Next time will go when the football is not on as it does get very busy and loud.

It was great, my sever Meghan checked that the fish and chips where halal and cooked separately. A really good place to get halal fish and chips in darlington for a reasonable price and no extra for tatar sauce

Booked a meal for my daughters birthday and everything was amazing from start to finish. The manager couldn’t do enough for us and all the staff were very friendly. Very accommodating for allergies. Food came quickly and was piping hot and all fresh. Prices were really good for quality. Thank you for a great night, we can’t wait to come back!

I decided to take My granddaughter here for her tea after watching migration at the VUE which is very convenient. Vienna decided to have a healthy side option of Veg sticks and sweet corn. It was hot but her"Pink Sauce" cooled the nuggets enough to eat. The Guy who took the order at the till was most convivial. Quick delivery of food and pleasant attention to customers requirements.

When my son and I visited yesterday there was no heating. The staff said it wasn't the first day of the situation and they were waiting for "a part to be delivered ". The only form of heating was a small hot air fan. This was placed on the top of the bar - as heat rises this made no difference to seating areas! We had planned to have a meal together but I object to having to pay to be so cold I had to leave my coat on. In an establishment like this I couldn't understand why management had not purchased electric heaters to be strategically placed for customers comfort. I would like to hear the management's comments on this situation. Mrs Maureen Kernan

I liked the pub, good selection of drinks on taps and also spirits behind the bar. Coffee latés were very good - it's better than a spoons but you can't beat spoons for price. The deccor could do with some updating but comfortable enough.

Even though the heating wasn't working the atmosphere was warm. Staff couldn't do enough for us, offering tea and coffee to warm us up. Service was impeccable

Just had lunch and still here just thought I’d let use know that the tunes coming from the kitchen are absolutely banging 10/10 from us. Having the time of our lives

Food was piping hot and quickly prepared. Staff were friendly and polite even though really busy due to a big football match being on. Had sign requesting those in for drinks and the match went to a separate area from those dining.

Fish and chips were delicious. White juicy fish and crispy batter. Scampi and chips also very tasty. Great selection of affordable meals and drinks. Family friendly and lovely server. Would recommend as food was tasty, well cooked and presented and very reasonably priced.

Had Xmas Day Dinner, pleasant relaxed atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff, tasty food, and lots of it !!! 😋 Would go back again.

I went to this place other day for lunch but as walked in was told I was barred as my 2 year old son had put salt on table previous time! Barred because of a 2 year old and they call themselves kid friendly... I've been a loyal customer for ages aswell which in all fairness don't know whu as food not even nice
