The Curry World in Lewisham

Absolutely thrilled to find this place! The food is great; generous portions, hot and tasty. Very pleasant staff and prompt delivery. Lovely Masala paneer and outstanding nan! Will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely meal.

We ordered a home delivery on Saturday night. We were told it would be coming after 45 minutes, it arrived 1.30h later. When we asked the delivery man how much we had been charged, the answer was £53.70, which was an overcharge of £7.25. My husband phoned the restaurant to ask for an itemised bill, and they promised they would send it straight away, but nothing was sent The day after he phoned again to ask for the same thing, or even a phone call from the manager, nothing happened He had to go to the restaurant himself to be refunded, incredible. Awful service, oily food, will never use it again!

We have always used curryworld and found it to be our favourite place to order and enjoy a curry....up until now! We ordered our usual butter chicken and tikka masala. To be fair the tikka masala was good but my butter chicken was full of bones. This has never happened before so I called to inform curryworld. The response I got was pure attitude! 'oh it is cooked off the bone! Thanks mate' end of conversation. We returned the call and was told a manager would call back but as of yet no call. We will be weary of using again.

Just one thing - the website is confusing - they list lamb as beef and I had a Butter Chicken that came up with Beef as an extra for just 45p. I didn't want it but couldn't proceed without taking it. When the food arrived, there was no extra beef. It's a shame as some people might be put off so it would be good if they got someone with a better command of the English language to amend it, then they'd be perfect!

Delivery driver Hussain was a nice bloke, went out of his way to find us as we're set back from our road. The food was lovely, just the right spice and the portions were a good size.

Delicious food. Timely delivery. Our go to take out every time. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

The food was nothing special considering it was a long waiting time. The food was running 10 minutes late so I phoned the restaurant and was told the driver was just leaving even though on the app I was told my food was with a driver for 20 minutes already. The man was very rude on the phone and hung up quickly when I said I wasn’t happy. The food then took a further 10 minutes to arrive even though the restaurant was 5 minutes away. It was hot when arrived but didn’t have much flavour. Will not be ordering from here again very disappointed.

The food was delicious. We ordered for my sons birthday and it came quickly and was hot. The portions were very generous! And lovely big bits of chicken! We will definitely order again.

This restaurant is just around the corner from our fire station. The food here has always been great. I try to have a different dish every time I order so don’t have a favourite. The delivery is always prompt and the person delivering is always polite. Can fully recommend this place.

I can’t recommend this takeaway enough. The menu isn’t extensive but the food is great. Another great delivery.

This restaurant is one of my favourite two Indian cuisine restaurants to eat at in the area where I work. I could throw a stone to this restaurant it’s that close. But from the outside you’d not even take notice of it. On the recommendation of my friend we ordered a delivery from here and I have to say it is fantastic. The menu (on Just Eat) is brilliant. I can’t recommend this takeaway enough.

I only ordered a Take Away,using Just Eat, but this was easy, the food was good and the driver Haran was outstanding!! Would happily order from them again.

if you order vegetarian Sushi- you will get Yucky fried Tofu! If you order tandoori Chicken Tikka you will get horrible chicken curry!! Absolutely not edible. This is not an authentic Tandoori or Japanese food- far from it. Do not be coned by the advert- 20% discount or 10% discount or free delivery- you probably will not get any and risk being charged more than agreed if you order over the phone and pay by card.

Reception deserves thanks as the guy on front was well mannered and was also able to advice on our requirements, especially for my son. King prawn balti was relished. Delivery was on time on last Saturday as it’s very unusual from the Indian takeaway. My wife and me are happy to order again.

Worst we have ever had. Chewy lamb chicken and lamb taste the same really don't taste nice at all just YUCK!

A pleasant surprise! Excellent food and service. Very attentive staff. The chicken vindaloo was very tender and savoury. Butter chicken was also tender and flavourful. Reasonable prices as well. I will definitely go back there and I will tell my friends to go. so why not try something different?

Ordered paneer makhini, in the description they didnt mention sweet taste. But when i receive its more than sweet taste, not this tomato sauce. When i requested to exchange, they refused to do. I make order when i was so hungry, and this made me so much disappoint. Stupid customer service. Never order in this restaurant again

Naan was very burnt, korma Sauce was ok but literally had 8 pieces of chicken which was either undercooked or stale. Didn’t enjoy meal was a waste of money

The chickpeas and vege samosas were lovely! however the egg fried rice had tonnes of vegetables in, when I asked for none! so that was abit annoying! also the saag aloo had a very strange acidic vinegar taste so I sadly couldn’t eat it!

I said I needed a restaurant to offer a fork and a spoon, but they ignore my needs.

Very disappointing. This was the first time ordering from The Curry World, so we were looking forward to it. However, there was so much oil in the curry. Both curries had a thick layer of oil and we had to pick the meat out rather than pour the curry on to the rice. Not value for money.

No can of drink also couldn't find house cold was warm

My husband is allergic to garlic and we have great difficulty finding restaurants that cater for this. When we phoned to order, garlic free food was no issue at all! The food was delicious, very tasty and every dish was flavourful and garlic free. Very friendly and accommodating service. We will be back for more!

Couple of our friends been to Sainsbury's Burnt Ash Road and we found them just by the Supermarket. We thought let's give a try and we amazed!!! We ordered for about £38 and they gave us a 10% discount for collecting the order. All the dishes were super tasty, specially the Lamb Biryani. We will order with theme again for sure :)

Lamb tikka masala was very greasy and lamb extremely tough. Food arrived luke warm and not hot. Everything was greasy and not cooked well. Will not be ordering again!!!

Onion Bhaji's were quite dry and didn't taste as good as Bhajis I have purchased from other restaurants.

Food was only luke warm and the mango chutney tasted more like carrot juice.

At 17:30, I ordered a delivery for 18:30 and the restaurant changed it to 18:40 which I didn't mind and understood they were probably busy so my order was delayed. The food did not arrive until 19:00 and the delivery driver said to me apparently I didn't want the order until 18:40, that still doesn't explain why it was another 20 minutes late. The popadoms were burnt and the curry was like warm by the time it arrived... I had a small order under £15 so I don't understand why I thought took longer than promised anyway... I've ordered from this restaurant many times months ago, it's a shame how the service and food quality has changed so much...disappointed

I love the food here. It's the best food on curry world . Aromatic, complex and spicy! It is a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for imho.

Customer Service was very polite - however had to wait 1hr and 40 minutes for my food and when it got here it was slightly warm - not what I expected from a restaurant that is a 15 minute drive away

That's what I call curry, all the dishes were large and smoking hot. Simply the best, will order with them again for sure.

Food was nice and hot when collected. Prepared super quickly. Majority of dishes tasted great. The paneer korma was so good, as was the chicken madras. Spicy but not too painful. The vegetable dupiaza was okay. A bit overseasoned and have definitely had better but still edible, just not mind-blowing. Sag aloo potatoes were nice and soft, well seasoned. Bhindi bhaji cooked well and nice hints of spices but not much flavour going on there. Chana masala: sweet, creamy and yummy. Overall definitely would order again. Futhermore, the staff were particularly nice and fair. There was a very minor misunderstanding in the order but were offered extra condiments and poppadom as compensation. Good times.

perfect value, diverse range with the choices of even how the curries are cooked. caring for needs and requirements and met mine perfectly. arrived on the dot at the time they said they would. I've eaten from most of the indian's in the area and not one can give me a vindaloo with a real kick to it, finally i have found a place that does. A keen advocate has been attained, my friends and family will be hearing about them. I give you my word, if you want a decent curry for your money, theres no where better than this establishment.

Si eres un/a del sur de la india, norte de la India, se obtiene exactamente la misma fiesta sabor para su paladar (porque tienen uno de los chefs de América del Sur y otro). Este es un increíble restaurante indio he disfrutado mucho comida india en Londres.
