Moved to the area before Christmas and can’t believe I’ve waited this long to try one of the most individual and authentic curries of my life. Cooked right in front of me by a man that clearly knows dish. I’ll be back again.

When we read the name "Curry Port" in the village of Burry Port we knew we had to try it :-). And we where really surprised positively. The meal we ordered was really good, was brought to us within 30 minutes and really wasn't expensive. Unfortunately we tried it the last day whe stayed in Burry Port, otherwise we would have eaten more often and tried more dishes.

We (family of 3) visited on 4 July (see facebook) and could not believe our eyes when we walked into The Clock Tower on Market Way in Carmarthen. This place was a paradise for hungry vegans serving pizza, pasties, cakes, cupcakes, biscuits, chocolates etc. The variety and choice was quite overwhelming. You have to visit Absolute Treats to get an idea of how much different types of food there are here. There are a wide range of flavours to suit all palates, so get on down there. Well worth a visit and check out their website. :)

Only came across this hidden cafe with a community spirited hostess on our way back to South Wales & were smitten by how friendly and accommodating they were. If anyone in your group has a hidden need, for example avoiding cafes with a cabinet full of coca cola cans, Croes y Ceiliog at Llanwrda has the solution, making you feel like a family member. Their tasty home made food too = return visit a definite!

I do not cook at all when The Penny Black is open ! I feel really sorry for cafes and restaurants like this ! It's not their fault that they are unable to open up at the moment still ! The Post office is an integral part of the Burry Port community and as such will have struggled to retain their loyal clientele! Not everyone is,driven by price but as I intend to eat there 3 or 4 times a week , still, I'm very grateful that the prices are priced really realistically , as I'm single and only on my works pension, still ! Lol x Thanks for all the care the staff gave given me since moving to Burry Port/ Pembrey. South Wales. Th

Visited here for lunch, drinks came quickly but unfortunately the Saturday girl had put our food order in the wrong place...she also forgot we asked for no ice, input the wrong prices at the till and when I asked where the food was she had to come back and ask me what my question was.... The manager (possibly?!) was very apologetic, our food came quickly once we had asked, with a few freebies. The bread that was served was amazing, the wedges weren't the correct ones on the menu but I was very hungry by the time the food arrived! It has been decorated brilliantly and there is a good food and drink selection to choose from. Unfortunately the staff member let it down but if they got that right this could be a really great place!
