The Curry Leaf in South Ayrshire

My Husband and I live around 40 mins from here but this popped up on Ayr eats and thought give it a try and it did NOT disappoint. We ordered(for a couple days!)...king prawn tandoori starter which was amazing value,prawns were plump,large and so tasty. My Husband has the mixed tandoori grill and to say we were amazed at the size would be an understatement! it was a large tray...done him two meals. Mozerall sticks and pizza all of which were gorgeous....as I say,this was over two whole days. Absolutely AMAZING value with fresh,tasty food.....100% recommend and will be back asap.

I ordered four curries plus accompaniments via just eat. Our order was missing one curry. I tried, but could not get through, on the phone curry leaf to report this. I therefore raised a complaint on just eat which has been rejected. Obviously curry leaf made a mess of the order but the system seems loaded against the customer. The food we received was all good.

Waited over 90 minutes for a delivery, which is normal but the food arrived cold. Very disappointed

Delivery time good. Food not. No cheese, sauce or salad on burger as ordered. Undercooked chips on both orders and inedible. No answer when repeatedly called.

the product, in this case a pizza, was delicious but just a bit disappointed with the late delivery but I'm willing to overlook that this time 👍

Fast fast delivery food came still piping hot, tikka masala burrito was great and is actually huge !!

I love Indian food, this is restaurant quality food at carry out prices. You won't be disappointed 👌 Female owner couldn't have been nicer, would definitely recommend!!

Not had food from here in a long time but nothing has changed curry leaf is still the no 1 takeaway,I asked for it to be extra tasty and it was infact extra extra extra tasty 11/10

Awful front of house staff, phoned up to complain about the tiny portion I received, two tiny bits of lamb a bit of chicken and the rest was all donner meat just to be told I should have ordered more lamb and chicken in another order if I wanted more! Apparently they couldn't give me more because the price of lamb and chicken has gone up. I ordered the tandoori mixed grill + a chicken curry. Never again £30 down the drain! Lesson learnt, won't be back.

Will be the last time ordering from here. Ordered a baked potato for the kids dinner only to find it never arrived. When phoned up, was told "did driver not explain we have none/give a voucher?" No, they didn't. They also didn't ask for delivery code

Fantastic food and at reasonable prices. Always impressed food is top notch and owners are nice friendly people. All you can ask for in a takeaway. Can't ask for a better place.

Good food but it was a bit cold and had to be reheated 1hr 45 mins for delivery is a bit excessive for any fast food although it was delivered just inside the stated time

Came in on Tuesday as working in area, guy behind the counter was really friendly and chatty. Even made me my favourite, Chicken Tikka Saag and it was excellent, really flavoursome and fresh tasting. Visited again on Thursday after driving to the cash machine to get cash (they only take cash), woman behind the counter asked if I was ordering a curry and told me it would be at least an hour's wait. I was the only person in the shop! Said it's ok thanks and left and gave my cash to someone else who made me a lovely meal. Won't be returning and feel quite offended that I made the effort to get you cash and come visit and you don't want my business. Surely a business want repeat walk-ins who bring cash with them?

Still waiting on delivery. Not like curry leaf. Usually always on time.

We have ordered from this carry out for a few years. Tonight I phoned after many attempts to get through, woman/owner answered and put me on hold..... 20 minutes later I gave up. Recalled again after many attempts, permanently engaged... the same woman answered abruptly, i explained I had been put on hold for 20 minutes all the time hearing the conversations in the premises. The woman was extremely rude by all accounts to once loyal customers. We have spent hundreds of pounds in these premises. Never again will we use this rude owners carry out. Now lost us as customers,and will return to Taj who actually know how to speak to customers when ordering from them. Disgusting behavior from Curry Leaf. They can win all the awards going for their food, but have absolutely no customer service or respect for once loyal customers.

The Curry Leaf make the best curries I have tried, I have had a few from there now and they are always consistent, the staff are always great/ friendly aswell, I can't fault them at all. The awards are well deserved. Thanks.

Food was very average. The curry was bland the sauce had split. The grill mix meats were also under seasoned and the meats were over cooked and tough as old boots. Expected a more from an 'award winning' business.

Used to be the best place in town, but food was inedible. Disappointing.

Food arrived in around 90 minutes so faster than estimated time when I ordered. Food was good but missing the drink so rather disappointed given it was a specific item I ordered.

I haven’t tried your food yet??? Waiting in anticipation?????? My King Prawn Byriani arrived???? Curry Sauce???? And extra Curry sauce?????? I ordered??? It was going to be a huge treat to myself as I don’t usually do takeouts. And now I know why???? I’ve been lucky to have eaten some great Indian food on my travels, eating in & out. This sadly wasn’t one of them. I’m not going to go into the details. As it fell on deaf ears. Lovely chap who came to pick it up to return. Thankyou. I suspect I’ll get a punishing response. But Hey Ho!!!! I’m shocked they actually call it a curry sauce. I bet it’s not on the menu at there house. I was a potential customer!!!!! Now!!! Just a very disappointed One.

Egyptian 🇪🇬 kebab is the best thing I’ve ever tasted…

Not the usual standard of food wrap was disgusting

ordered a cheese pizza and fully loaded pizza chips..but got what I think was a small spicy chicken pizza?? dished it out thinking it was the cheese pizza (because it looked like it) to the kids to then notice it wasn't so to late to call and say and they were cold!

Showing as delivered but still hasnt arrived. Ordered for a specific time but still no sign an hour later. Called only to be told 'we are very busy but is out for dleivery'. Not holding out much hope it will be edible when it arrives or if it even arrives.

don't normally have issues with this place but order at 6.48pm ..estimated time of delivery was 8pm-8.20pm(do understand can be busy). arrived 9.11pm . by then two of us wasn't that hungry anymore and was to late at night for us to eat! one item was supposed to have plain mayo on hoggie but had garlic mayo on it so had to be binned as they didn't like garlic mayo . can of juice was wrong to . and some of the food had only slight heat in it .so waste of food and money

We had plenty to eat and quality was exceptional, couldn't have managed the missing chicken dopiaza, would definitely go again

Over a 2 hour delivery. They boast about awards but don’t listen to customer feedback. Blocked on social media. Food isn’t fresh. Pre made and frozen microwaved rubbish.

I requested crispy pakora. it arrived late and soggy. And the pizza I recieved was barely warm. I've had to put the pizza into my own oven to heat it up. I've used the curry leaf 🍃 many times but tonight was a big let down

Every time we place an order they say we're sorry but there is no delivery driver able to meet your time absolute joke if you don't want to deliver to drongan take it of your delivery options

chaat from here used to be unbelievable but it's nowhere near as good as the "wings" are smaller, there was no lemon and the chicken was dry. My donner & cheese kebab tasted nice but arrived cold

this is the longest I've ever had to wait for food ordered just before 5pm and it didn't arrive till just before 8pm tonight I ended up ordering from somewhere else will not be ordering from here again I'm so disappointed with the service

2and 1/2 hrs for a kebab, and they give you a can of urn bru to compensate

Excellent as usual, a couple of things that wasn’t right- Asked for Onion Bahji’s got Vegetable Pakora instead. Also, way too much Oil was used. The Oil had spilled out everywhere in the bag, and all over the other containers. Unusual this happens. Put me off a bit as there was too much oil in the the curries

Don’t eat Indian but husband and son had meal tonight they said it was excellent.

the Donner meat was very thin cut which made it quite dry, portion size may have been a factor, hope this is a one off.

I was recommended this place by a friend when I called and asked him about the best kebab in Ayr. And to be fair, it didnt disappoint I ordered large Donner Kebab and I have to say the meat was cooked to perfection and not greasy at all salad was fresh and the donner sauce was lovely too not to spicy just right. The chips and cheese were lovely as well. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Shop was very clean also. Will definitely be back.

Ordered several times before and loved the food, this time, however the pizza was very hard and dry and the stuffed crust was rock solid. Not as good as have had in the past :/

We used The Curry Leaf a lot during lockdown and loved it, but this time the food was a bit oily - though it tasted good :)

Kids pizza was cold & like rubber chips were cold & burrito too not good from an award winning takeaway?

Food wasn’t very warm, pakora was over done and main courses were not very warm wouldn’t consider ordering again. I was very disappointed with quality of food and time it took to deliver.

Always get the garlic cheese. Chicken tikka jalepeno nan. Delicious. But you forgot to put jalepenos on it tonight. Was a bit dissapointed. But was still lovely

Rarely would I describe food as exceptional but on this occasion I will . If I could give more than 5stars I would. Please don’t increase your prices. 👌

The Nan bread was missing from the order,disappointing.

Was on time, but the chips looked like they had been back cooked about 14 times, and the calzone base was so thick it was like eating a full loaf of bread dry. The only good bit was the filling.

Went here last night for the first time due to a recommendation, the food was excellent but they should put somebody with better people skills out front as the lady owner has none whatsoever

Ordered twice from here in the last few months and it was good, hence reordering. This time however, the chicken tasted old, other meat was similar and just looked past its best. Kebab needed to be heated up when it arrived as it was cold, and to top it off, the food we did eat made myself and my partner pretty unwell. Won't be back.

Used to the the best In Ayr, now not so good. Pizza is terrible - stodgy, flat dough. Chicken pakora was nice but all in all I was pretty disappointed.
