Ocean Palace in South Ayrshire

Phoned in order, told 30 mins it would take. 45 mins later still waiting. (When it did eventually arrive it was incorrect). All those who just popped in were served first. 2 others has been waiting over an hour! Another had his order ‘forgotten’ so they quickly cooked it again. Felt sorry for the servers who were efficient and polite and doing their best to cover for the poor kitchen service.

Order was to take 1 hour after 2 hours husband phoned, they told us a driver had been in an accident ( total lie ) husband went in finally got our meal 2 and a half hours later ......and was told not to come back because he complained....unbelievable.....

Just ordered a meal from here and they sent us the wrong stuff and made us pay again for the replacement at the door which they never mentioned on the phone when they said they would send the replacement which is crazy as they are the ones who made the mistake?

I would give this place a miss Took 30 mins to get through and was told 1hourdel8very 2hours 30 mins later before we got our order ,and it was dry and not even warm

It can take over an hour to get through and then a half hour wait to get your food. Very busy because the food is great

Ordered tonight for the first time. The special fried rice was very bland with no sauce. Really poor. Definitely won’t use again.

Terrible ordered a munchy box and was dry and tasteless really really went downhill used to come here always but never again.

It took constantly calling for 90 minutes to get through in the first place then a further 2 hours for the food to arrive. Food was average at best but what’s more annoying was the constant hanging up of the phone. Food definitely isn’t worth the ridiculously lengthy time it takes to order and the length of time it takes to arrive. Avoid.

Great food and always busy tells you something

Food is top quality and always piping hot. Only draw back is, that it's always busy, but that's a good thing I suppose. They are quick at getting orders through, only had problems (waiting) once, and have been loads.

Tried their home delivery on Saturday night. We were well pleased. Really good food, sensible portion sizes and quick delivery. Paid cash as this is their model so we know better for the next time. Thanks and good luck.

Food was delicious as it always is . Top respect for the delivery driver. When I paid for my delivery I didn't notice that two of the £20.00 note stuck together. When he went back to shop he told them & I got my £20.00 back.

Ordered munchy box. Food fresh but not a lot of it for £15. More chips would have made it a little better. Forgot sauce aswell.

Couldn't get through on the phone as constantly engaged so just drove up and ordered.Cant fault the food.besr Chinese we've had in ages.we had a wide variety of dishes(chicken bread curry, sweet and sour mixed veg, chicken fried rice)and they were all superb.thr mini spring rolls were a great value starter thay served everyone.girls behind the counter were pleasant and helpful.Given how busy it was on a Sat nite at 7pm with walk-ins & phone orders plus deliveries this was a really efficient and well-ran outfit.highly recommended 👌 🥘🥘🍲🍲🍤🍤🍜🍜

We had chicken chow mein, chips and curry sauce tonight and it was the tastiest meal we've ever had from Ocean Palace (or from any other chinese takeaway)! Very friendly staff and very generous portions. Definitely highly recommended. 10/10 👍

Fast service. Food good. Cash sales only which is a nuisance in today's society. However there is a cash machine handy.

I got a takeaway from this Chinese on the Saturday 15 jan i had special fried rice witch was as dry as a stick no egg no gravy i had beef and mushrooms witch tasteless and chips so hard you could not eat them i Chinese food was ment to b tasey i would not recamend it

Extremely disappointed in the tasteless and rubbery quality of the beef in the beef curry I had on Saturday 09/10/21. This meal I shared with my wife and neither of us could eat the beef and I can usually eat most food regardless of quality (then put it down to experience). I have to say though the sauce was great. Had a kick in it. Just how I like it. Not what I paid for though.

I phone orders in and it can take 20mins for phonecall to be answered but food is delicious, worth the wait.

I’ve been eating Chinese takes always all my life, as I’ve got older I like to try different places., but Ocean Palace is amazing I had a chicken curry with fried rice. The curry sauce is the best I’ve ever tasted amazing it was

very warm and yummy food and well worth the price just ordering now!

Best Chinese takeaway around, food is of fantastic quality, staff are always friendly. Love it, massive thumbs up. My mum always talks about here and she lives in North Lanarkshire, so obviously made an impression 👍🏻

We ordered two meals tonight and the only word we can use is “disgusting “. The chicken was chewy and tasted bad. The fried rice was greasy yet stuck together. We will NEVER order from here again...YUK...

Been coming here for years but very disappointed by tonight’s service. Waited almost 2 hours outside in the freezing cold, went in to enquire and they kept saying 5 minutes. Got home and they had forgotten parts of our order we paid for. Never returning, very disappointed.

Have been using this place for last few months and everything was great. Tonight we ordered a delivery at 5.55 pm and it eventually arrived at 9pm only opening it we found we had thr wrong Oder. Now having to wait fur yet another delivery

Checked web site 27 July 2019 which stated opened until 10.30. Everyone picked something from the menu. Went down to make my purchase but it was closed. Not updating website is bad for business and a waste of customers time.
