The Buf in South Ayrshire

Really nice here, had a sharing Platter which was excellent, real value for money and very tasty

Good place to visit especially with the outdoor seating area on a day when the weather is good and even if it's not then there's enough decent covering to keep the rain off if u just prefer to be outside.

From the second we walked in it was obvious this is a high end bar. Beautiful decor and great music. Steph(v)en behind the bar gave us his time, making us feel valued. He had high professional standards, not seen in most bars. Cocktail selection was excellent. The beer garden is massive and really nice. If you come here for nothing else, check out the massive umbrellas and the artwork. Great venue.

There was a grifter woman who stole our drinks and was locked in with the staff when we were kicked out. Not a big crowd for a Saturday night. Poor dancin' like.

Food was Amazing, friendly and attentive staff. Lovely pub will defo come back when they have live music, as the outside space is decent as well.

Wasn't as busy as we were in early . But the young barman couldn't be any more helpful as well as the young girl behind the bar . Served with a smile and having a bit of a laugh with one another . .

Great place to eat.Right in the heart of Prestwick.Spotless Staff are really attentive and Happy to help you .Garden area at the back . I would imagine this to be absolutely great place to go at night . Food wise we enjoyed our hot meal on a warm plate.Portain size was perfect . This is my second visit to the buff and won't be our last .I would definitely recommend this for lunch,dinner or a fab place to go out drinking at night.

Never been in here before but not a bad pub with a big beer garden service was ok inside was like a disco did not have food but I would go to this bar again if back in Prestwick.

Quiet and only stayed for a couple of drinks mainly for the beer garden.

Excellent food and great ambience. My husband and I had an evening meal yesterday. My husband had the Steak Pie which he said was delicious, the pastry was light and flaky and the steak melted in the mouth. I had Cajun Chicken Pasta which was equally as delicious. As was the Chocolate Fudge Cake and the Caramel Ice Cream Sundae. Excellent service. Highly recommend.

Had a lovely lunch on Saturday afternoon, staff was very nice. We had the tempura chicken which was delicious. We were back in on Tuesday and order the same dish which was ok but served in a bowl rather than a flat plate !! Surely this should be set as the look for the meal to be served the same for every meal. It did have an effect on the meal as expected to be served the same way. One in our company had the fish which was very small could have done with 2 slices . This is the reason for 4 stars .

Son lost his phone in one of the booths and wasnt aloud to try find it. After explaining to the bouncer he just received abuse needs sorted out

Went in for one drink, old fashioned was made very well (although bar was quiet). Price was quite high but probably in keeping with elsewhere in the area. Nice aesthetic and plenty of seats.

Spent a few hours in the beer garden with work colleagues/friends. Good atmosphere.

Day: Monday 15.00hrs Pint of Estrella: £4.60 A bar and restaurant on the main street in Prestwick. A long dining area leads to the bar and an amazing outdoor area. Although it was quiet when visited, the weekends are very busy. Well worth a visit.

Great place, great name!! Really friendly staff, great service, amazing beer garden. And this is the first pub in ages that the staff know how to properly make a long vodka!! Was thrilled at that. Very accommodating in term of sport on big screens. Will defo be back and would recommend.

Both my sister and I had a great wee afternoon here Sat 26th March 2022.Great food ,lovely drinks ,and a lovely atmosphere.Staff were lovely too ,so we will definitely be back.

We phoned and ordered a takeaway, and it was amazing The girls who I dealt with in placing the order were so lovely and helpful. Then there was the food, it was delicious. We got vegetable tempura, chicken tempura, mac and cheese and salt and chilli chips, they were all so tasty. I would definitely recommend this place.

Went to Wednesday quiz night which used app on phone to keep it fresh fast and fun. Was really good despite being last. Drinks were reasonable prices.

What an amazing experience. Murray and staff excelled to accommodate our needs and resolved a horrible situation from a very arrogant customer who was very rude to us and the staff. We were in The Buff for Prestfest, and it was fabulous! There was a fantastic atmosphere and the bands were fantastic. Staff were friendly and efficient. Ladies toilets were kept clean, and they were checked on frequently by Manager and staff.

Excellent attentive staff, Cocktails and mocktails in the sunny beergarden for my friends birthday. Couldn't ask for more. Highly recommended

Great Beer Garden, staff very attentive and food' Tempura in the Buf' fabulous. Well worth another visit.

Took the rare chance to dine out with the family. My 18 month old is not use to this because of covid restrictions and he's pretty unsocial but staff and particularly the manager were kind, thoughtful and interested in his difficulties and helped where possible. Food was excellent, really loving the new easy menu. 😀 clean and tidy premises and food very tasty and fresh. Lovely presentation too. Huge thumbs up from us, we will definitely be back!

Last night we decided to try the Buf new menu. I'm delighted we did. We sampled the wraps and they were delicious. The service was excellent and friendly. We will definitely be back, and soon.

Large bar garden mainly covered which is good. Great service and if you are going to eat I recommend the Tempura sharing plater!

Decent for drinks. But the food was awful. Tempura chicken deep fried and all stuck together so having to pull apart before it could be shared. The fries way overdone with spice coating. A decent place for drinks but stay away from the set price sharing platters as they are very poor.

Was good. Folk were pretty well behaved and staff were very pleasant. Was nice to see the BUF had made an effort to make folk comfortable outside, considering the difficult circumstances. Not somewhere I would usually go but would now return. Thanks guys👍

If the staff know you then your OK for no mask when moving about inside but not first time customer, also standing talking to the staff is OK without a mask if a regular, covid rules when it suits the staff

Great prices, staff and loads of tellys to watch the rugby, then a free halftime pie, haud me back. Well worth a visit. Next time I'm in Prestwick I'll be popping in.

Only thing i would say is that never stand at the left hand side of the bar there is a step up to bar we stood there for ages to get a drink and the young girl behind the bar just ignored us for sometime then eventually came over with an attitude and told us we shouldnt be standing there to get served as that need to stay clear for collecting glasses.keeping in mind i havent been there before and there is no sign to keep clear.it was also very busy thats why we had to stand there to get served as couldnt get in anywhere else at the bar.not the best experience.other staff seemed friendly.

When in Prestwick go in the Buf. Don't do food now on Monday and Tuesday. Was empty when we were in so hard to judge overall. Staff always friendly and efficient similar to previous experiences.
