Ordered a home delivery. Ordered the tandoori chicken that comes with sauce and rice. Arrived with no rice. Called the restaurant before 11 on a Saturday and rang out then call cancelled at their end. Sent message via mobile no advertised and also no answer.

Hands down best Resturant in Troon One of the best Indian Resturants i have been to, from the Incredible Onion Bhaji to epic King Prawn Curry full of flavour, fresh local ingredients! Jass who served us, legend!

In town for golf, booked by a friend and had a phenomenal meal. Such delicious food, incredibly fresh and tasty. Onion bahjis are and of-menu option but some of the best I’ve had. Order them. Lovely guys running the place and a great atmosphere. Popular spot with pro golfers too.

My husband and myself have just had the most fantastic meal here. I love Indian food but I can't any of it - even a korma - because I can't tolerate any spices, but the when I mentioned this our waiter all he said was 'leave it with me!!,. So I ordered cauliflower pakora then chicken korma. So off he goes and brings out my chicken pakora, and I have to say that it was absolutely delicious, then he brought out my korma and I have to say that it was the most amazing Indian meal I have ever been able to eat. I would just like to thank our waiter for my absolutely amazing meal. If you ever find yourself in troon - you must pay the '3idiots' a wee visit!!!!!

Wow! Just been and I am in awe. One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Peshwari naan was to die for! Butter chicken and ginger & lime king prawns 🤤🤤 will be back!!

We went on a Friday for lunch. When we arrived the venue was empty & there was no one to greet us. Service was slow considering only one more couple came in after us. Food was ok but portions were small. Naan bread was thin/oily & portion of rice was small too. First time we've been & we were very disappointed. We won't return.

Overall it was pretty cool atmosphere. Food was great and service was brilliant. Ordered Veg samosa, Chilli Chicken Dosa to start with Mango Lassi. Was expecting dosa as South Indian style but it was Indian British fusion made lentil batter which didn't disappointed at all, the chilli chicken filling was finger licking as pickled garlic was used in it. Lassi was the best part, reminded of Punjab. Chicken Biryani to be very honest was alright but could be better. At the end it was good time spent.

Tapas menu really suited us as a more mature couple with smaller appetites. Jaz as front of house was friendly and attentive. We will be back and recommend others try this superior Troon Indian restaurant, having eaten in London Michelin star establishments and top ones in Spain, we are very impressed. Thank you so much !

I’ve visited multiple times and both the meat and vegetarian options have been delicious. Would recommend the South Indian Ginger lamb curry and the cauliflower pakora. Staff were great and prices reasonable - will be sure to come back!

Food was good as was the service but it was very expensive. For two starters, main meals and two soft drinks each it was over £100.

Food is always delicious, the staff are great and prices are very reasonable! The garlic naan and chilli garlic prawns were amazing.

Food was too salty, very disappointed, portions are far too small there is more chicken in an Iceland microwave meal. The naan bread is too thin, the restaurant is dingy, and they charge far too much for a tiny amount of food!

We couldn't believe the prices on the menu but were too polite to leave. We ordered poppadoms, two basic chicken curries, two rice, one chapati, one pint of draft lager and one half pint. Our meal cost £80.80. The portions were small, hardly any chicken mainly sauce. The open is on but the prices seemed extreme and definitely not value for money. We also felt they were rushing us out although we had booked the table well in advance. We live in Troon and I'm afraid we won't be back we left feeling we had been ripped off, not a good experience.

Decent curry - a shame they hiked the prices so much. I expected a bit of a mark up for The Open, but the pints were cheaper at The Open, and the curry was twice the price (their website had the 'pre-Open' prices on it). Price for 4 people, two rounds of drinks each and one starter in the party.... just under £200... The cherry on top was the waiter rudely telling us to vacate the table almost immediatly after paying and whilst we were still finishing our drinks. Then as soon as we stood up to leave, he crowded in and started to spray and wipe the table down as we were still trying to get up and leave.

Daylight Robbery BEWARE!!! Prices hiked for the Open. Main course poppadoms and 1 drink each for four people (inc 1 child) came to … drum roll please. £152! Wanted to support a local business rather than just eat at the course. Why bother? Nice staff. Average curry. Would have left but it was chucking it down outside and didn’t know where worse to go. Wish I’d gone to the chippie just down Portland St. They were lovely.

Favorite quotes from our group: 1. "Imagine if they hiked the prices for the Open." Reality: £25 per main, £23 for six poppadoms. 2. "What do you recommend?" "Rogan Josh." "Where is that on the menu?" "It's not!" 3. Us: "The food was poor and overpriced." Waiters response: "I wouldn't eat here." Increased prices for the Open, overbooked, the waitress was a laugh—the only redeeming feature.

Been at least 4 times in recent weeks, and ordered quite a few different things, consistently excellent, really great find!

We have just had the most fantastic meal at 3idiots Troon. We been looking forward to coming to trying this restaurant for a year since spotting it last year on holiday and it lived up to expectations. From the moment we walked in Alison was friendly and welcoming, which continued during the meal. Alison was always helpful and on hand while serving us. We started with a gin cocktail and then had wine which was great. The food was stunning we tried starters, mains and the tapas options, all highly recommend. The price was reasonable for the quality of food and service we received. Edit: We have just been back for another meal to try more of the menu and everything was excellent. The food was outstanding. Alison served us again and she is still a wonderful hostess.

Have eaten several times at this restaurant and had takeaway meal. Never disappointed. The food is obviously freshly cooked, not just heated up and doused in sauce, and there is flavour everywhere. Two outstanding dishes were the machi masala (spicy haddock) and the ginger and lime (I have had it with chicken and my wife with king prawns). Both really tasty. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone.

finally, a proper cooked curry. the lamb that I had was fall apart tender and is definitely cooked in the 'gravy' . a little more expensive than my normal takeaway curry but it is well worth the extra. I also had samosas which were as good as the ones I used to have in London

I cant review the restaurant but I want to tell you about the food, the food was not great I ordered chops they sent a different lamb dish as for the chicken byriani it had raw peppers it was not authentic in any way sorry it gets 4/10 from me

Had a bad experience here on Saturday night, went in at 19.00, got drinks quickly , and then went downhill after that. Had to ask them to take our order order after about 40 minutes, meal did not arrive till 20.45 the main meal was OK although they had run out of boiled rice only fried rice, but the Nan bread was revoltingn it was cut into tiny oblong pieces, was cold and was like eating cardboard. It appears they conontrate on take aways as they kept going back and forth with the plastic carrierbags. The place was also very coldn we were seated near the door very uncomfortable some dinners had there jacket on. When paying watch out, as staff don't get tips if added to the bill, I thought that was a thing of the past. So won't be back here.

We have enjoyed starters and desserts, and the service was prompt and nice. What we found troubling was that we had very little communication. We were served simultaneously by 2 or 3 people, and their English wasn't their strongest suit.

We are visiting Troon and came along on a Thursday night. Warm welcome and food was great. We went for the tapas and loved it all. Great king prawns pakora, south Indian ginger curry and butter chicken. Highly recommend if you are visiting Troon.

Celebrating a birthday at 3 Idiots was a fantastic experience! The staff were incredibly welcoming, radiating genuine warmth from the moment we walked in. We devoured the flavorful Indian dishes, each bite a delightful explosion of fresh spices and perfectly cooked ingredients. Everything felt authentic and made with heart, leaving us all completely satisfied.

Very much enjoyed this place. It was very quiet when we were there, which I don't understand, because the food was amazing. Recommend.

We really enjoyed our meal. Pamela was very accommodating. We ordered from the tapas menu. Our food was fantastic. Little touches that showed they have pride in their food and business like serving lamb chops on a bed of julienned vegetables instead of a bare plate, or a large samosa served with a garbanzo bean compote instead of just deep fried triangles in a bowl. We recommend this place to anyone reading this review.

Went for lunchtime menu, quality of food and the service from our server, Sam, was great. Would say this was a 2-course offering rather than the advertised 3-course (rice/naan breads don't deserve it's own separate course). Would definitely go back though.

Went in for lunch today with my wife and mother, the food was extremely good. And Sam couldn't be any nicer very polite. I very much recommend this place for a very tasty lunch! Or dinner. And we will definitely be back, for shure!! 10/10

The food was delicious! Delivery was delayed due to the first driver’s car breaking down, but the restaurant communicated everything and we had a few extras thrown in to make up for it.

Food was ok but table service was poor and had to ask twice to clear table after next course was delivered. Portions not great and thought what we paid was OTT for the meal in general.

Wasnt busy but it was early .place is spotless nicely decorated staff were freindly quick and very efficient meal was piping hot and tasty

After booking we arrived and our booking did not seem to be noted , we however got a seat 20 min later had to ask for menu and never got asked if wanted a drink 30 min we waited and two other tables that arrived after us got served first . Not impressed atal with service. Had to leave

3idiots. Well named. Restaurant almost empty but waited 35 minutes for simple carry out!!! Got home to find a good portion of the fried rice was so badly burned it was like charcoal and the patia (sweet and sour) sauce was so hot and spicy it was inedible. More expensive than the Maharani and a much smaller portion. First and last carry out from 3 idiots. Definitely Maharani for me in future.

First time to 3 idiots Troon with my partner, excellent in every department would not hesitate for a second to recommend this restraunt to anyone, and will make a point of visiting on a regular basis, best indian food we,ve ever had.

A different take on the Iindian restaurant. A selection of small plates gives a better Indian dining experience, though if you're determined to have a 'standard' meal, they will happily provide that. The following questions assume a 'standard' meal and are not relevant.

King Prawn tandoori starter £8 was literally 4 prawns with some sauce on top with a bit of onions and peppers underneath. Also chicken tikka masala was £12 It didn't even come with rice or naan like other places. wouldn't advise ordering from here.

Friendly helpfull staff, with amazing atmosphere and yummy food to match. It was the first time visiting the restaurant and it definitely won't be the last, I was told they have won awards, Now having been there, I can totally understand why! "Looking for a Curry look no further".

Korma wasn’t great….chicken was tough

Food was stone cold when I arrived, had been sitting in the car for over an hour. I called up trying to get info and got nowhere, having to apply for a refund through Eat. Worst service I've ever had Shame because once I re-heated my actual dinner the taste was good, but would never use them again shocking service.

The food was fab. First time trying 3 idiots and it wont be the last. The smaller portions/tapas style gave us the opportunity to try new things and we were not disappointed. The service was great as well. It was a quiet Monday night so the food was really quick in coming out. I loved the decor as well. The family style photos on the walls were a lovely touch. We will definitely be back soon for some more delights!

Booked for dinner with my friend Fairly average food , Workers walking around on phones I wouldn't go back for the price we paid. Table beside us were annoying and the staff never dealt with the problem.

The food was amazing, not a lot for the cost would be my only concern but it was lovely.

Decided to try this restaurant for the first time. I ordered the following. Chicken Tikka Masala 12.00 Basmati Pilau Rice Sundries & Breads 3.50 Total cost of order £21.05. What arrived was disgusting and inedible I had to throw the whole lot out. The curry sauce was a strange taste and did not taste like a curry sauce and there were about five small bits of chicken in the sauce. The rice was not pilau rice but was plain brown rice. Another thing was the description Basmati Pilau Rice Sundries & Breads makes you think you are getting bread and sundries included but all I got was brown rice. I did phone the restaurant about this but was advised that all you got was rice and I stated this was misleading. At the end of the day, I paid for a meal that was inedible and I had to throw it all in the bin at a cost of £20.05. I have had numerous curries in the past and this has been my worst experience.

SO GOOD! I have trust issues with Takeout and restaurants in Troon, but this one is 10/10!! We reluctantly ordered some delivery last week, and it was delicious. Vegetarian dishes that are clearly cooked to order or at least on the day, full of flavour, arrived in about 45min, piping hot. Genuinely delicious. I can’t convey how much I wish I could rate this more than 5 stars. I must stress that the food smelled SO GOOD none of that weird takeout/chippy fried oil stench. If you’re looking for good food, this is the place, 100%. Also super easy to order online, very well put together website. This has definetly become our go to restaurant for mid week lazy nights when you just can’t bring yourself to cook. Again, 10/10!

The take away we had was 10/10, divine! Easy to order, quick, excellent customer service upon collection, hot, fresh and amazingly tasty! However, we just had a meal in the restaurant and the service wasn't great. Sorry to say but there was clearly a new member of staff, I've worked in the industry for years and I know it's tough. But he mumbled, fumbled our drinks order a few times, nuff said. The portions were quite small, unlike the take away! Food service was pretty quick but mine wasn't so tasty this evening and was just about hot enough. Lovely table, booth, decor, ambience and some great customer service.
